I would like to share a calendar between my iPhone 4 and my win8 pc with outlook 2010. I would like to clear all of the confusion between the 2 systems and use the iCloud calendar for everything so if I change an event on one device it will change on the other automatically.

All you need to do is install iCloud Control Panel for Windows, this will enable the ability to sync iCloud data to your computer.

hi can anyone help please ? i have had apple products now for apron 7 years BUT have never been able to make the bluetooth work , not even when 2 products i.e. : phone and iPod are in the same room. So i stopped trying but would like to set it up between my iMac and iphone / ipad but can't get it to work, they say discoverable but just will not connect to one another. I also tried the connection code and tried without one ... NO JOY ... Is this common or am i a twit ?
You can't connect an iPhone or iPad to a Mac via Bluetooth, except for Internet tethering.
You're not doing anything wrong - it just isn't a feature of iOS devices.
What were you hoping a Bluetooth connection would allow you to do? -
I just upgraded to iOS7 and started using icloud with Outlook 2010. I dealt with switching over to only using icloud for my calendar, but now my calendar reminders are only randomly popping up which is very frustrating. They show up on my phone however. And under my calendar on my main page it doesn't show any appointments coming up. Any suggestions on a fix?

Looks like we found a solution, it's Mickey Mouse but it works. After talking to two Apple Senior Advisors, this is the fix they came up with:
The first advisor after exploring it for awhile, came to the conclusion the way to get my calendars back local On my Mac with the alerts as I had then was to import the saved .ics files with my my 'dangerous email alerts' being removed then me manually re-adding them. I said that was a no go.
The second advisor, after speaking with me for awhile and trying a few things that we'd tried before said he'd do some work on his end and call me back. A couple of hours later he phoned back with a fix that I guess will have to do, his solution:
I had to go into Calendar-preferencs-accounts and create a Gmail calendar, quit and restart Calendar, I created a calendar in the gMail account. Then I was given the option in Calendar under File-New Calendar to create On my Mac local calendars. Next was to create local calendars with the same names as my iCloud calendars. Now I had to un-check all calendars but one, put Calendar in month view, command-click all the events for the given calendar and drag them to the new local calendar of the same name. I then had to repeat this for each of the calendars and for all 12 months of the year.
I'm not done yet but it seems to be working. As I said Mickey Mouse but doing the job. It seems creating another online calendar account was the only way to get the local On my Mac option, active again. What a pain in the a** this has been, I will repeat it again

I updatedmy PC from Windows 7 to Windows 8. I can no longer sync my Contacts and Calendar between my iPhone and my computer.
Windows 8 is not supported at this time.

I would like to share some folders between accounts on the same iMac ( Lion OS X).
Several users having their own account on the same iMac, would like to share a same folder for their common work ?
How can I handle this without using an external server file ?You can set the permissions to allow anyone to modify each file.
Select the file, press cmd-i on the keyboard, scroll down to the bottom of the dialogue and click the padlock.
Enter your admin password, then change all the permissions to allow read and write.
You could also do the same thing with the Shared folder itself which should allow everyone to modify any file placed in the folder. Select the shared folder, and repeat the procedure above. Then, next to the padlock you should see a 'cog' icon with a drop down menu. Click the menu and choose 'apply to enclosed items' and 'OK' when the warning dialogue ('Are you sure? You cannot undo this action') comes up. -
IPhone 4 (iOS5) not syncing with outlook 2010 calendar

My iPhone 4 has been working great for the last few months up until recently. I have been able to sync with outlook 2010 for both my contacts and calendar using iTunes sync in the past with no problems.. I went to conference last week and got back in the office sync’d yesterday. Things are not right. My contacts sync, but calendar does not sync either way (phone to PC - PC to phone). I upgraded to iOS5 and reloaded iTunes and I'm having the same problem. I also noticed that my sync is taking much, much longer (like there is a conflict somewhere.) The contacts still sync, but no new/changed calendar entries. Anyone have this problem and have any ideas how do I can fix it? Is it a simple setting switch on the iPhone or iTunes? It's getting very frustrating!! One of my office mates has been taunting me with his android phone and I’m starting to feel like I might have to do something drastic to get my calendar back on my phone…
Outlook version is MS Pro Plus 2010 - 14.0.5128.5000 (64-bit)

I uprgraded a 3GS to iOS 5, set it up to sync with iCloud initially, and then switched back to sync with PC as before. It seems that my calendar was syncing at first, but within a few days it just stopped.
I also recall a ton of weird "sync conflicts" that I had to resolve, even though the iTunes conflict reslover showed information that was identical in Outlook and iPhone calendar.
Notes and contacts sync just fine with Outlook 2003 under Windows Vista for me, but calendar will not sync at all any more, either direction.
I have tried most of the suggestions, including restoring iPhone and creating a whole new user account in Windows and tried syncing iPhone and Outlook via iTunes that way (and both USB and wifi). I did not seem to have any better success.
This is a disaster. So far I have just been using Notes to MANUALLY sync calendar info between devices.
I have never given nearly as much thought to Android as I have lately.
It may be time to call Apple Support, but my previous experiences with them (and the "Geniuses" at the store) were underwhelming. -
I have selected calendars on my iphone and macbook to synch using icloud. If I enter an item on the iphone, it appears on the macbook calendar but not the other way round. Any suggestions why this is happening and how to fix it?

Want to share just calendar between two iphones--will icloud do this?
The title really says it all. My husband and I both have iPhone 3GS and we want to share a calendar and hope to have it update without having to sync to the PC. Is this what iCloud will do if we choose to only turn on the calendar portion? We share an iTunes account already and sync on the same PC. Thanks so much.
KathrynYes, You should see each others calenders. When in the calender app the top bar will show how many calenders sre showing. It will be either a number or all or no calenders. Tap on the "calenders" button in the upper left of the screen. That will show a list of all the calenders available. You can also add a calender by tapping the "edit" button and then "add calender".

I have 2 iphones and an ipad. On one of the iphones the calendar entries and not showing up on anything else. I have checked all the settings and everything looks good - been a headache trying to figure out what is not set up correctly. I had this working at one point. Should I see all the calendars in icloud?
As far as I know, the sharing is broken for OS8.6 to OSX.
The wireless Appletalk for printing still works, but only if you have a wireless base that allows Appletalk to move from the wireless to wired. I assume Apple Airports do, but I use a D-Link. Linksys and Netgear did not, nor do most from what I gather. My PM8500 with the Laserwriter also has Laserwriter Bridge software installed to enable this, I believe. It was all done years ago.... -
I have wasted so many hours trying to make this work and researching Apple support. Nothing works so I am hoping to get an answer here.
First of all, here is what I am using:
Windows 7 32 bit
Outlook 2010
iPhone 5 and iPad 3
iOS 7.0.2 on both devices
I have downloaded the iCloud app for my Windows computer and checked that it sync my contacts, calendar, and tasks. I have enabled iCloud on my phone for contacts, calendars and tasks. I have not been able to get anything to sync. My iCloud calendar appears in Outlook but everything is grayed out. I see the iCloud reminders under my tasks tab but there is nothing listed.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled iCloud on my Windows computer. I have turned off the calendars, tasks, and contacts sync under iCloud on my phone and turned them back on - nothing. I have restarted my computer and iPhone - nothing. Same results with my iPad - nothing.
Additionally, I have gmail as my personal email; also am forced to use Good for Enterprise for my work email.
I am at my wits end. I finally ended up syncing today with the USB cable via iTunes but the whole point behind iCloud is to be able to sync wirelessly.

It sounds like after the recent iOS update, your Outlook content is no longer syncing properly to your phone.

Can I share my downloads between my iphone and my touch?
I'm wondering if I will be able to share my downloads between my devices. I've send references to indicate that I will be able to share them between my computers but in addition to the Iphone I also have a touch which I have interfaced to my home entertainment system as well as a New IPad. Can I load a copy of all my purchases onto these seperate devices as well as my PC? I am also wondering the same question with regard to Apps
You can sync the songs to as many of your devices/computers as you like.

I have been looking at the Ipads for a while now. I have some concerns though. First, I am NOT a techy of any kind!! So my question is; What is the difference between wifi and a simcard(?) What I understand about wifi is...if you are in an area with free internet.. you can excess it. If not, then you can't. What is a simcard? Is this what you would use like a turbo stick..such as internet on the go... or is this a data plan for the Ipad, like I have for my phone? If so, I take it that it would mean a monthly bill of what or however I set it up... Please be kind with your responces.. I am a older person who wants a new gadget.

You don't really compare a SIM card directly with WiFi. What a SIM card indicates is that a device is designed to connect to cellphone service, in the case of an iPad a data-only service for connection to the Internet. The SIM card works with a technology called GSM (don't worry about what that means); the SIM card is just how the iPad is identified to the cell carrier (in the US, that would be AT&T).
Your choices of connecting an iPad to the Internet are therefore:
WiFi - wireless network connection which uses a device referred to as a "hotspot" or "access point" (and sometimes a "wireless router") with an Internet service provided by some other company. You may have this at home, with your own WiFi router and Internet service, or it may be found by some other location, such as a coffee shop. Cost of WiFi at home would only be the cost of the router and the fee you pay to your Internet provider. Other locations may or many not involve a cost. The advantage of a WiFi connection is speed (compared to a cellular data service) and cost (no monthly fee other than your Internet provider). The disadvantage is that you have to be in range of a WiFi service; that range is usually on the order of 100 feet or so.
Cellular - this is a service provide by a cellphone carrier. This allows you to have your iPad connected to the Internet wherever the carrier offers service, which may be in buildings, parks, while driving, etc. just as with a cellphone. You pay a monthly fee to the cell carrier for this service. The advange is of course that it's available in many places. The primary disadvantages are the monthly cost and slower speed in the connection to the Internet.
You can have both with an iPad if you purchase your iPad with both systems included; iPads are sold WiFi-only or WiFi+3G ("3G" refers to being capable of connecting to a cell network) You are not obligated to sign up with a cell carrier if you buy the iPad with that technology; most carriers allow you to sign up month-by-month, and in some countries the carrier has a pay-as-you-go service. If you tell us what country you're in, someone can tell you more about the available cell plans, if you're interested.

I would like to use iCloud drive on my iPhone and access all my files. I can do that very easily using Dropbox but I cannot find an app for iCloud Drive that works the same way. Am I overlooking something?????For individual Apps to access iCloud drive, the APP Developer must set that up. If it is not an option in a specific application that you use, you should submit feedback to the App Developer to add the feature.

My kids now each have an itouch, should we all have different apple ids even if I am paying for all itunes and app store purchases? what about icloud? I would like to share itunes and app purchases, but not necessarily photos...help please!
The recommended solution for most families is to share the same Apple ID for iTunes and App Store purchases, so you can share your purchases, but us different IDs for iMessage, FaceTime and iCloud. With this arrangement, each person can automatically download purchases made on the shared ID (by turning this feature on in Settings>iTunes & App Stores), while keeping their FaceTime calls, text messages and iCloud data (including photo stream) separated. There is no requirement that the ID you use for purchasing be the same as the ID you use for these other services.

Can't import from Canon Rebel into Yosemite iPhoto.
