Neither of those Apps allow you to (easily) add iWork documents created or edited on the device to your online storage, you need to be using a webDAV server to be able to do that. In fact pretty much all you can add from the iOS device is photos and video without resorting to convoluted workarounds, intermediate apps or emailing finished documents to yourself. You can on the other hand view most of the content of dropbox/sugarsync through those apps, which in a lot of circumstances is useful, but without it working in both directions these apps are far from an ideal solution.

Yes, this may not be of too much interest to the OP, I was only trying to clarify the situation with iCloud.com/iWork for you.
However that being said, there may be areas of interest for Computer to Computer syncing, given the recent changes made to iCloud.com/iWork. I wouldn't suggest iCloud sharing for archived documents, but for perhaps up to a couple of dozen documents in progress, iCloud sharing is now quite viable. If there is any chance at all of these documents being accessed on an iOS device then iCloud would become a preferred option to dropbox or sugarsync.

If you prefer to Google, then Google. On here you stand a good chance of getting a direct answer from experienced users. And the login is necessary because without it we'd get more spam and stupid posts than we do now. Pretty well all online forums require an login for the same reason.
To answer your actual question. Firstly, you can use different Apple ID's for iTunes (and iTunes in the Cloud and iTunes Match) and iCloud itself, with email, Calendar and Contacts syncing, PhotoStream, and so on. There is no conflict about doing this.
If you want to use two separate actual iCloud accounts you can do one of two things:
1. You can set up a second user account on your Mac: then each user account can be separately signed into and iCloud account with all its facilities.
2. Having decided which iCloud account is to be your main one, and having signed into System Preferences>iCloud with it (and enabled Mail, Calendars and so on) you can sign in with the other account in System Preferences>Mail, Contacts & Calendars. The email, calendars and contacts will appear alongside those belonging to the first account. The only differences from the primary account are a) Email is not 'pushed' but checked at intervals, and b) you can only use PhotoStream with the primary account. -

Yes, you can have multiple Apple IDs within one iTunes copy.
Note that all purchases will forever be tied to the Apple ID that was used to buy them. You will have to authorize the computer to the new library, as each device can be synced with just a single computer. -

I can turn mail off for the Icloud account. If I turn off Notes, there is a warning: All IMAP notes will be removed from you iPad.

I want to be able to send mail corectly.In Mail Preferences/Accounts/each GMail account, set up the SMTP Outgoing Server for each account separately, going into SMTP name/edit/Advanced and specify the Username of each account. The Outgoing servers must be two different servers, authenticated by the Username and Password of each.
Otherwise, the GMail SMTP server will change the from address to that of the account where the SMTP server was setup.

You can't keep changing accounts in iTunes, you will need to wait 90 days after changing once. You would need to use two computers or use two user accounts. -

Thanks,No, you need separate iCloud accounts. If you want to maintain separate Address Books you and your wife should have separate user accounts on your Mac anyway.
You can setup separate Address Book groups within a Address Book in a single Mac user account.
