HT204053 iCloud on iPad2

ICloud is working on my MacBook Pro, but asks to be set up on both my iPhone and iPad.  Set up indicated on both items, but can't get past "welcome" screen. What do I need to do?

How are you trying to set it up?  Are you going to Settings>iCloud and entering your Apple ID?  This guide describes how to set up iCloud on your iOS devices: http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/ios.html.

On your iPhone, try toggling Find My iPhone off, then back on after a few seconds.

  • How to remove iCloud on iPad2, iOS 8, No Password, User left Company?

How do I remove iCloud on iPad2, iOS 8?
I don't have the password because the user left our company.
No password means I can't turn off "Find My iPad".
I do have a company AppleID if that is needed.

hi. you can manage your iCloud/Apple ID at : https://appleid.apple.com/
you can restore your password using security questions.

  • HT4859 access system data backups in iCloud using iPad2?

Am I able to view any system data stored with iCloud on iPad2?

I had the views checkbox checked already, but I hadn't thought about the permissions.  I have full permissions to the database and the folder, so that doesn't seem to be it.
I've been able to get most of the information I need without it, but there is one report that I can't get done without them.  I tried using SQL - Add Command for the report but I can't find a way to query it without using a cursor and even though Crystal executes the SQL command with the Cursor the data pulled from the Cursor doesn't show up.  Frustrating.

  • Issues syncing with icloud from Ipad2

I set up my account for icloud on my ipad2 after the OS5 update however, when trying to actually finish the process I am recieving a notice that there is a problem backing up.  Has anyone else had this issue?? If so have you figured out a fix??

You can't merge accounts or transfer iTunes purchases from one Apple ID to another: but there is no problem about using two IDs.
Use your ex-MobileMe email address (which is also an Apple ID) for iCloud for syncing email, contacts, calendars, bookmarks, and PhotoStream.
Use your other Apple ID as before for iTunes, iTunes in the Cloud and iTunes Match.
There's no conflict about doing this, and you won't even notice as Keychain will log you in with the correct ID in each case. It's also better security not to have your iTunes login also your email address, given the number of complaints about hacked iTunes accounts.

  • Calender Entries not matching on the iCloud of iPad2 and Windows PC 7

I have iCloud on my iPad2 and Windows 7 Laptop, the calender entries are reflected with an hour's time difference.
I have checked the Timezones on both the devices and they have the same Time zone.
Don't know why the time lag is present. Kindly help.

Have you checked the timezone settings in iCloud?
Login https://www.icloud.com/ and press your name in the upper right corner. There you find TimeZone setting and there's might be your problem

  • HT204053 iPhone 3/iPad2 Woes... :)

I recently purchased an iPad2 and it seems to be intercepting some text messages that I was previously receiving on my iPhone 3G. Further, I cannot send messages from the iPad (which is WiFi only) except to iPhone 5 users. I have tried changing iCloud setting and turning off iMessage on the iPad2 to no avail. I even turned off the iPad2 and had someone send a message to my phone from his iPhone 4 and got nothing!!!! We have been texting without problems for months. This is very perplexing. Also, he noticed that our text "history" has vanished from his phone while all others remain.
One other ingredient in all this is that we also have a new Mac in the house sharing the same wireless network.
Well, is there a Mac Sherlock Holmes in the house?
    Sincere thanks for any suugestion,

This may be caused by a corrupt existing backup that needs to be deleted, or by data on your phone that is preventing the backup from succeeding.  To troubleshoot these, try deleting your last iCloud backup (if you have one) by turning off iCloud Backup in Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup, then tap Manage Storage, swipe across your backup and tap Delete, then go back and turn iCloud Backup back on and try backing up again.
If it still won't back up, you may have an app that is preventing the backup from succeeding.  To locate which one, go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Manage Storage, tap the name of your device under Backups, under Backup Options tap Show All Apps, then turn them all to Off (including camera roll) and try backing up again.  If it succeeds, then the camera roll and/or one of your apps is preventing the backup and you'll have to located by process of elimination. Turn the camera roll On and try backing up again.  If it succeeds, turn some of your apps to On and try backing up again.  If it succeeds again, turn some more apps to On then try again; repeat this process until it fails.  Eventually you'll be able to locate the problem app and exclude it from your backup.

  • HT204053 Icloud says my Apple Id is valid but it will not accept it to access Icloud

Icloud says my Apple Id is valid but it will not accept it to access Icloud

If the messages says that it is a valid Apple ID but not an iCloud ID, it's becaure you are trying to create an iCloud account on a PC.  You can only create the account on an iOS device or Mac (running Lion or Mountain Lion).  After creating the account, you can then sign in with the ID on your PC, but you can't create the account on a PC.

  • HT204053 iCloud says my Apple ID is valid but it is not an iCloud account. I find how to link on Apple services but it seems to leave me hanging. How do I actually link the 2 accounts? On a Windows 8 PC?

iClound Control Panel says my Apple ID is valid but it is not an iCloud account. How do I link the 2 accounts on a Windows 8 PC with iTunes 11. I go to Apple services and it gives some instructions; but they leave me hanging. They tell me to put in the same user name and then just stop. Doesn't say what to do next. I did what it said and the 2 accounts are still not linked. Anyone know how to assist? Thank you.

Apple isn't trying to be anti-PC with this; they support PCs going all the way back to Vista SP2, a 3-generation old version of Windows.  To sync iCloud with a Mac you have to be running one of the last 2 versions of the OS X operating system (i.e., a newer version than you do on Windows).  I assume it's set up this way because it's a service provided customers purchasing Apple devices that utilize iCloud syncing services, and if you happen to also you own a PC, it will sync with that as well.  It wouldn't make sense for them to provide this service, including a free 5GB iCloud account, hosting for backups, syncing services, free photo stream, etc. for non-Apple customers (who, for example, may only own a PC).
If you have a friend with one of these devices who is willing to let you create the account on their device, you could then use it on your PC.  They would have to delete the existing account from their device in Settings>iCloud, then let you sign in with your ID to create a new account, then delete this account from their device and sign back into their own account.  You could then use this ID to sign into the newly created account on your PC.  Note: each device can only create 3 iCloud accounts, so you would be using one of their 3 alotted accounts, but they may be willing to do this for you.
iCloud is really designed to keep your data in sync across multiple devices that you may own, and with your computer.  It will also automatically back up your device, stream photos taken on one device to all your other devices, and allow you to locate a misplaced device using Find My iPhone.  It doesn't, however, sync music if that's what you're looking for.
If you want to be able to access your music from iCloud you don't need an iCloud account for this.  As mentioned earlier, music purchased from the iTunes store is already available in iCloud.  Music from other sources, such as in your case, can only be accessed from iCloud if you subscribe to iTunes Match (see http://www.apple.com/itunes/itunes-match/).  If you do, you can then upload your iTunes library (up to 25,000 songs) to iCloud an access them from an iOS device via iCloud, even without an iCloud account.  Music purchased from other sources that is copy protected (contains DRM) is not eligible and will not be uploaded to iCloud so be sure your music purchased from Amazon doesn't contain DRM before subscribing.

  • HT204053 Icloud does not recognise my itunes log on and password.  It is showing an error message saying that the log on is good for itunes but not for icloud and I cannot log onto icloud

I cannot log onto I Cloud as it is not recognising my apple ID used for my ipod on my pc?

Hello....I also can't login to icloud.com email to use the app Find my Phone...it says Your Apple ID must be used, etc, etc....
However, I found this post and signed in with my Apple ID and I have an IOS Iphone (like I mentioned, it's lost somewhere and I'm trying to find it).
I have set up ICould on my phone previously and have received welcome email from doing it.  Can someone please help me use the App to find my phone!!  I have no idea why I can't login online to Icloud.com

  • HT204053 iCloud with multiple devices but different users

We have 1 iTunes account 3 iPhones and 2 iPads. I would like to use iCloud for my iPhone and iPad, but I don't want the other devices to use share things such as my calendar, contacts, etc. how do I do this?

Separated account for iCloud, iMessage and FaceTime. Same account for iTunes And App Stores.

  • HT204053 icloud backup with multiple devices and apple ids

Wondering if I have the appropriate set up to ensure all my data, purchases, apps, etc. is properly backed up to my icloud (personal email account)?  Here is my current set up.  PC: itunes - personal email; iPhone: icloud & store purchases - personal email; iPad: icloud-work email and store purchases-personal email.  So will store purchases on my iPad still go to my personal icloud?  (Note I can't change the iPad: icloud log in - iPad owned by work so required setting)
Also, does icloud copy any data from my PC other than itunes?  Not sure if the set up questions when I icloud on my PC are related to my PC or to the various devices.  For instance, "Mail" is an option - which mail account is this?
Any clarification on these questions would be much appreciated!

    My iphone 5s = apple id 1
    Husband iphone 4s = apple id 2
My ipad = apple id 3
Son #1 ipad mini = apple id 4
Son #2 ipad mini = apple id 5
For iCloud.. Not quite, you want the same ID for iCloud on your phone and iPad so you have the same info on each. (so perhaps ID 1 on both.
But if you want to share your music (assuming lets say its your ID 1 that has the iTunes account), you should all use ID 1 for iTunes.

Neither of those Apps allow you to (easily) add iWork documents created or edited on the device to your online storage, you need to be using a webDAV server to be able to do that. In fact pretty much all you can add from the iOS device is photos and video without resorting to convoluted workarounds, intermediate apps or emailing finished documents to yourself. You can on the other hand view most of the content of dropbox/sugarsync through those apps, which in a lot of circumstances is useful, but without it working in both directions these apps are far from an ideal solution.
    E.g from the sugarsync website
Yes, this may not be of too much interest to the OP, I was only trying to clarify the situation with iCloud.com/iWork for you.
However that being said, there may be areas of interest for Computer to Computer syncing, given the recent changes made to iCloud.com/iWork. I wouldn't suggest iCloud sharing for archived documents, but for perhaps up to a couple of dozen documents in progress, iCloud sharing is now quite viable. If there is any chance at all of these documents being accessed on an iOS device then iCloud would become a preferred option to dropbox or sugarsync.

  • How do I retrieve my deleted Pages files or get them from iCloud on iPad2

    Hi,
This is actually two questions but they are kinda related.
I have an iPad 2 with iOS 7.1.1
Pages deleted all my documents when I opened it and it told me there was an update. I clicked the update button, but when I saw the update was 250 MB I thought I would wait to update. I returned to Pages and all my documents were gone.
How do I get them back?
If I go to the settings I can see several of my Pages documents (maybe all of them) are stored in my iCloud. That's great, but how do I get them back on my iPad 2 in my Pages App?
    All the Best
    Jost - Denmark

If you started the update, you may have rendered the app useless until you finish the update. That's simply a guess o n my part, though. Are you able launch the app? If so, can you create a new document?
Something else to consider ....I  have deleted the Pages app from my iPad several times in the past for troubleshooting purposes. When I deleted the app, the documents were also deleted from the device, but they still remained in iCloud as they should. When I reinstalled the app, all of my Page documents downloaded from iCloud onto my iPad again, which is the normal and expected behavior. If your files are still in iCloud, that might be worth a try.

  • HT204053 iCloud document sync being strange

I'm having an issue with icloud documents.  I have 10.8.2 mac software, the iphone 5, and an ipad 2 (both of which are on the latest ios).  They're all synced to the same @me.com account, so the documents should be showing up correctly in Pages.  What's weird is that all three are showing different sets of documents!
I've attempted to simply copy the ones I want and delete the rest, turning all of the syncs off so that I can manage it through the website iCloud/iWorks so I can get them all back to working order.  In iWorks, I've deleted everything.  When I go back into iWorks... they're still there, undeleted!  What's even stranger, if I hit refresh, it'll go between two different sets of documents (one that was on my ipad, one that was on my iphone).
How do I reset documents so that I can simply start over?  This is rediculous!
    Thanks!

It actually goes pretty fast once you are on a WiFi connection.  I found an open WiFi connection at Starbucks and when i got back to my desk the files were all there on the web site.  I fond the Use Cellular connection to sync in settings and decided that I didn't need to sync my docs all the time so I will just wait to connect when I can get to a WiFi.
Now I just need to figure out how to sync my contacts.  iCloud doesn't seem to play nice with Google contacts when they are on an Exchange connection.
