HT204053 is there a way to find my iPhone if i didn't set it up on the phone
I lost my phone. I dont remember if i set up iCloud on it. When i go to Find My Phone It tells me alldevices are off line. Is there anything i can do from this point?
There's nothing you can do. If you set up iCloud and enabled Find My iPhone on it before it was lost, it will appear on the map when you try to track it if and when it ever goes online. If you didn't, it can't be tracked.

The app has nothing to do with this. The app allows someone to locate their iOS device with your iOS device.
Now, what if he had the app installed, and someone else did too, by what you're saying, he could then track his iPhone using theirs.
So the app actually has some bearing, not much, but it's there. I was merely stating that without either the app, or iCloud, then no, he cannot track it. But he can use iCloud because he possibly has Find My iPhone activated.
Now, why don't we both be good little children, shake hands, wander off, and try to help some people rather than argue with eachother for no apparent reason? -

No. You could visit your @icloud.com site and click on the Find My Phone app icon to see if it's being detected. It must be online. I don't know if this will work for your.

I lost the ability to use wifi after the 8.02 update. Is there a way to fix this? I've already tried resetting network. Turned the phone off and on. Nothing is working and now I have to run on just data.

okay, i recently lost my iphone. i just got it and i havent changed plans yet so i had a texting app installed for the time being, anyways..i didnt have Moblieme installed or track my iphone locater app. i then tried to download it on itunes through my computer, but it didnt work through icloud, is it possible to download it from an ipod touch to see where my iphone is located?
You don't need a special app installed to make the phone trackable. It is enabled in:
Settings > Privacy > Location Services > Find My

Dropped my phone and returned to the area 10 minutes later and it is gone.
Problem is that there is a lot of dead area around here. I was wondering if they connected the phone to a laptop or PC connected to the internet with the intent to charge it or get into itunes(in an area with dead signal), will find my iphone notify me?

I am starting my new Mac Mini for the first time. (My first Mac was a classic 128K that I upgraded myself to 512K back in 1985. My most recent Mac is a G4 466 Mhz unit that I am eventually replacing with the new Mac Mini.)
I hit a snag when I got to the point where the Mini wants to connect to my home network. The network has my G4 and a MacBook on it. I have my linksys WRT54G Router set to accept only those MAC Addresses that I have authorized. This is because there are several neighborhood networks that are within range of mine.
At this point I can either disable this filtering for a short time or find the MAC address of my new Mini before I initialize it.
Can I find the MAC address before I initialize the Mini?

-JoeThe serial number and the part number were on the outside of the shipping container. Nothing on the bottom of the unit at all. I worked around this problem by temporarily disabling the MAC Address or hardware address filter on my router until I was able to look up the MAC Address on the machine, entered it to the MAC Address list then I re-enabled the MAC Address filter on the router.

FYI:
iTunes only keeps ONE normal backup, per device. It's actually an incremental backup, in that only data that has changed is actually backed up. Any other backups listed would be backups from restore points. These backups are time/date stamped and are not overwritten. -
Contacts were deleted from my iphone 5 and now are gone on icloud. Is there a way to find them from a previous icloud backup?
