HT204053 Mobileme

I keep getting a message saying I have used an invalid user name or password for my mail, however I successfuuly mograted to iCloud monthes ago and have no problem logging online to my acount. How do I stop this message keep popping up?

This is presumably because your Mail application is still using the MobileMe server settings. You need to remove the MobileMe account from Mail and set it up with the iCloud server settings, as detailed here:

  • HT204053 Mobileme Support PLEASE.

i have an mobileme address and cannot remember my password and cant seem to access support to reset it for it was my main apple id for years.

There is no MobileMe any more - it closed last summer - but your ex-MobileMe email address is itself an Apple ID and you can reset the password at http://appleid.apple.com - click 'Reset password', sign in with the address and follow the instructions. If you have an associated separate email address (as you should) a new password will be sent to that.
Once this is done you still cannot access your previous MobileMe email account or other facilities, but you can reactivate the address by signing in in System Preferences (or Settings)>iCloud (Lion 10.7.2 minimm or iOS5/6 required).

  • HT204053 Mobileme to icloud

with mobileme we could have up to 5 email addresses on our account - I had my primary apple id but also a secondary business one and ones for my kids. Now with icloud I cannot figure out how to go in and delete the additional emails or create a new one. I think my subscription was family pack? I really need to delete the ones we are not using anymore

Did you have a Family Pack or did you have aliases - the latter are additional addresses, not accounts, which deliver into the same inbox as the primary address; Family Pack sub-accounts have their on login and are separate.
Aliases should have carried over when you migrated and be configurable at http://icloud.com in the Mail page - click on the cogwheel icon at top right, choose Preferences, then Accounts.
Family Pack sub-accounts should have been migrated individually and would have become full separate iCloud accounts. If you did not migrate them they have been closed and their contents deleted. You can reactivate the address for an ex-sub account by signing into System Preferences>iCloud with it, but you cannot retrieve the previous contents. In any case where you want the address to be deleted you need do nothing - it already has been.

I have an AppleId account but when I go to sign in/ set up Mobileme/ Icloud it says the account is wrong.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
You have Mac OS X 10.6.8. MobileMe was discontinued, and iCloud needs OS X Lion or Mountain Lion. Make a backup, open App Store and purchase Mountain Lion. Check if your programs are supported > http://www.roaringapps.com

"You can use iTunes Match on this computer with just one Apple ID every 90 days. All I can think is that the problem stems from purchasing a mobileme family & some of the music being my daughters. (she is 9 & I need to be ble to listen to more than Katy Perry & Justin Bieber) Please help! :-(

Youll get that message when you change the iTunes account you are logged into, you can't keep changing it.

Wanting to move to single-click publishing (supported by MobileMe), I now find it is not supported by iCloud and Mountain Lion. I feel cheated, having bought it mainly for this purpose! The other thing they don't tell you is that Mountain Lion disables OfficeMac, and I am considering uninstalling it for that reason - do I get my money back?!

You stated; "Mountain Lion disables OfficeMac"
    That is not true.
Mountain Lion does not have Rosetta so it is not capable of executing PowerPC code. If you have MS Office 2004 that is coded in PowerPC code and will not run in Mountain Lion. What you need to do is upgrade to an Intel version of Office.

  • HT204053 I used to have an icloud and now have mobileme?  I'm trying to get my iphone synced to my computer for the find my phone app.  Any suggestions?

I used to have icloud on my macbook and it now appears I have mobileme?  I was hoping someone could assist me with how I can get icloud set back up on my macbook.

Mobile Me closed over a year ago, it was replaced by iCloud, so you don't have Mobile Me.
What version of OSX is on your Mac (always include the basic information in your post.)

Where did you purchase it? There shouldn't be any requirement for MobileMe. You would be best off asking about this in one of the iLife forums - I should try this one:
    https://discussions.apple.com/community/ilife/iphoto
Make sure to tell them your Mac's system, and what version of iLife it is and whether it's a boxed set.

  • HT204053 de mobileme a icloud

¿puedo usar icloud en mi macbook con ios 10.6.8 ? y si no puedo usar mobileme en mi ipad mini ?

    Google translaton:
I can use? Icloud ios on my macbook with 10.6.8? and if I can not use mobileme on my iPad mini?
There is no MobileMe and hasn't been for over a year now.  As for iCloud the following system requirements for iCloud are from this document: iCloud: System requirements:
    iPhone, iPad, iPod touch
    iOS 6 or later
iWork for iOS 1.7 or later: Pages, Numbers, and Keynote (for purchase from the App Store)
    Mac
OS X Mountain Lion v10.8.2 or later
iTunes 11 or later (for iTunes in the Cloud and iTunes Match)
iPhoto ’11 version 9.4 or later or Aperture 3.4 or later (for Photo Stream)
Safari 6 or later (for iCloud.com, Bookmarks, and iCloud Tabs), Firefox 16 or later or Chrome 23 or later (for iCloud.com)
iWork '09: Pages 4.3 or later, Number 2.3 or later, and Keynote 5.3 or later (for purchase from the Mac App Store)
    Minimum operating system requirements
You may also use iCloud with the following operating system versions:
    iPhone, iPad, iPod touch
    iOS 5*
    Mac
OS X Lion v10.7.5 or later*
    * Note: Although you can use iOS 5 and OS X Lion as noted above, you will not be able to take advantage of some iCloud features, such as Shared Photo Streams, iCloud Tabs, Find My iPhone Lost Mode, Documents in the Cloud for iWork, and Find My Friends location-based alerts.

  • HT204053 Can't move from MobileMe to iCloud

When I select iCloud in System Preferences, the only option I am given is to move to iCloud. When I select that option, it takes me to a webpage saying mobile me is closed with a link to iCloud.com. When I go there and log in with my MobileMe account, it says your Apple ID must be used to set up iCloud on an iOS or OS X device before you can use iCloud.com. I click on the learn more button and it bring me to the apple webpage about setting up iCloud which brings me full circle to selecting iCloud in System Preferences. Additionally, when I go to the apple ID webpage to manage my account, my .me apple ID is there with all my information still intact. Any suggestions.

After posting this I came up with a possible solution but I am waiting for some additional input before I try this. There is probably a preference file somewhere I can delete and then the iCloud system preference will no longer direct me to move from Mobile Me to iCloud. Then I will get the same screen that is shown on the apple website instructions, which will ask me to log in, or create an Apple ID. Presumably, that will allow me to enter the old Mobile Me information and it will be reactivated as an iCloud account.

So, it isn't listed...and very cumbersome to read email new...and all old are under MobileMe that isn't online... HUGH?  User friendliness was missed on this mandatory change. Now what does one do?

  • HT204053 Does the MobileMe iDisk continue to function in iCloud?

I like to use the iDisk to share files between my PowerMac and Macbook.  I can't tell from the iCloud web site whether or not iDisk will continue to function after MobileMe is cut off.  Will it?

    Welcome to the Apple community.
Unfortunately, iCloud does not offer equivalents to Mobile Me’s iDisk, Gallery or Web Hosting services. You will need to find a third party solution to replace these services. You might consider DropBox, SugarSync, MediaFire or any other service that offers online storage. (not all these alternatives offer all the services previously provided by iDisk)
