It's possible that the valid apple ID is not the one associated with your icloud account. Or the thief may have been able to get into the phone (did you have a passcode in effect?) and made changes to the account.

Sorry, there is no way to track your phone. Call your carrier, & if they offer blacklisting, have them blacklist your phone.
Since you're running iOS 7.0. the phone is useless to anyone but you, as it cannot be re-activated without knowing your Apple ID/Password. -
I have a new iPhone 5s. When I try to sync it with my iTunes account it is unable and advises to update iTunes to version 11.1. Whn I attempted this iTunes advised that the current version I have (10.6.3) is the most up to date!
If you're on a Mac, you need to upgrade it to Mac OS X 10.6.3 and then 10.6.8, which requires that it has an Intel CPU and at least 1GB of RAM.

Apple doesn't sell insurance. Maybe your homeowners or renters insurance would cover some of it. Check with your insurance agent.

My iphone was stolen and we actually recovered it using the find my iphone app! Is there a way I can tell what the thief might have looked at in the interim? I know about hitting the home button twice to see recently used apps, but what if they then swiped to close them? i just want to know if this <bleep> was looking through my private info. TIA

The phone will automatically re-appear when it connects to the Internet. However, don't get your hopes up, as thieves know this & will make sure your phone never re-connects so you can locate it.

My girlfriend's iPhone was stolen whilst on holiday in London. The phone was in airplane mode and didn't appear on Find My IPhone, which was installed and enabled (all set tis correct other than airplane mode). I sent a remote passcode lock to the phone.
The next day the iPhone appeared on the map, obviously having been switched on and had airplane mode switched off. My question is, will the remote lock apply immediately the phone comes back online?
I assume their only opting at that point is to do a factory restore which would wipe all the data anyway, right?
Also, can't Apple track the IMEI number regardless of a restore and a new SIM? Or the network operator that the phone was originally connected to?This notion that is being floated around that Apple's hands are tied due to privacy and legal concerns doesn't impress me much at all. My iPad was stolen about a month ago. I have the receipt, the serial number (from my box), and the MAC address (from my home router's log). Armed with that information it's technologically feasible to track, deauthorize, and eventually recover my device. But for reasons I have been unable to ascertain Apple refuses to provide anything like this for their customers. And as their devices become increasingly smaller, more desirable, and more expensive theft of them will also increase.
But to my point about legalities and privacy concerns: whether they are true or not, it certainly doesn't stop Barnes and Noble from blacklisting their Nooks when they are reported stolen. At least, that's what I found after buying a Nook color off craigslist. When I tried to register it online it refused. When I called in to customer support they informed me that it was a stolen device. If I wanted to remove the blacklist, they explained, simply provide the last 4 digits of the credit card, the name on the receipt, and the total dollar amount of the store along with store number where the device was purchased. If I lacked any of that information, I could simply contact the store and retreive it from their records. Since I was not the original owner, however, my option was to turn the device over to the police and hope they returned it to the rightful owner.
When I explained this scenario to Apple Care he insisted the limitation was due to privacy concerns. That defies logic, however, when one considers that it's the original owner (and only through the poilce and Apple's legal department) who must report the device stolen. And, like B&N, it's the customer who is able to provide personal information to blacklist (as well as unblacklist) a device according to his or her own volition.
I've been thinking a bit about this for some time...plenty of time to think on the couch sans iPad anway...and I've been wondering why in the world does Apple not allow users to deauthorize and blacklist iDevices through iTunes itself. At that point Apple has no involvement in the process and even the barest of legalities are irrelevant. My assumption is that Jobs has thought long and hard about these issues, including my described resolution, so it begs the question as to why Apple refuses to do anything about stolen devices. I hope one day I can ask him because that is a question I would like answered more than anything: what is the rationale for the hands-offs approach to this? I can't fathom one myself but I have to guess there is one. Apple hasn't come across to me as a callous company so I'm reluctant to attribute it to that. -
I have an iPhone 4S and when I try to add an iCloud account is gives me an error "Cannot Sign In, The maximum number of free accounts have been activated on this iPhone." Is there any way to deactivate an account? I have one for myself, one for my family and one for my work. I had all three on my iphone and then I deleted my work. I wanted to get my own person @me.com account. It wouldn't let me create it from my iphone, so I created it from my Macbook Pro. I am trying to add it to my iphone, but it keeps giving me that error. If there is a way I can deactivate my work one so I can use my @me.com personal account?

Unfortunately once all the 3 iCloud accounts have been created on your mobile device, you cannot create any more regardless of what you do. You will need to re-use one of the accounts that you have already created or create your new account on another device or computer.
You should however be able to add existing accounts to your device, are you sure you aren't trying to create on rather than simply use an existing one. -

If they are not on your 'My Photo Stream, you only other option is try to restore an iOS device from a backup of your lost iPhone (either via iTunes or iCloud, where ever you were backing up to). Obviously you will need ot inherit and iOS device to do this.

How do I turn on My Photo Stream?
After your devices are up-to-date and you have set up your iCloud account, it’s easy to turn on My Photo Stream on any of your devices:
iOS devices: Go to Settings > iCloud > Photos (Photo Stream in iOS 6), then turn on My Photo Stream.

Restore from an iCloud backup
If you have a new iOS device, or if you need to restore your iOS device to resolve an issue, follow these steps.
Follow the initial steps in the iOS Setup Assistant (select your language, and so on).
Select Restore from iCloud Backup when the assistant asks you to set up your iPhone (or other iOS device).
Select the backup you created earlier.
You can restore a backup only by using the iOS Setup Assistant.
If you've already set up your device, you can erase all current content to go through the iOS Setup Assistant again. Tap Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings. Do this only if you already have a backup, because this step will remove all current content from your device.
Restore from an iTunes backup
If you have a new iOS device, or if you need to restore your device to resolve an issue, follow these steps:
Connect your iOS device to the computer that has your backup.
Make sure this computer has the latest version of iTunes.
Choose File > Devices > Restore from Back up.
If you're using iTunes 10.7 or earlier, right-click the device from the list and choose Restore from Backup. -
My iPhone was stolen. I used Find My iPhone app to lock it and display a message. The phone has not connected to the internet to locate it. I contacted the police and they have taken my meid number. How does this work and what are my chances of getting the phone back? Are there other ways the theif can use it. I was told once they put in a new sim card and use it, whatever software the police have, it will show up.
Honestly? In the US (I can't speak to other countries, though I doubt it works much differently in a lot of the world) The police took your report and filed it either in their computers or, on paper. They will now not think of this again. The only time it will cross anyones mind is if, in the course of entering information into evidence about items recovered or seized at a crime scene, the serial number of an iPhone that was found/seized happens to match yours, in which case you will be contacted.
The police in the US can and will do nothing to 'blok' the phone and it's not worth their time to try and locate it unless you know for a fact that it was stolen by a big time drug lord, master criminal, or some other such prime target and they can get a court order to track the location of the phone in order to locate this individual for your own purposes. If they do that, they'll probably keep him under surveilance for a year or so before they act.
Basically, the police don't care about your phone. If they find it, they will give it back to you. They are not, however, going to go looking for it. They have better things to do.
