HT204053 Possible to transfer iCloud account to my wife's Apple ID?
My wife and I both have Apple ID's. Currently we have an upgraded paid iCloud account connected to my ID. Wondering if I can transfer our iCloud account from my Apple ID to hers. Obviously we could start a new iCloud account under her ID, but I don't want to waste the extra paid storage.

You can't transfer it to her ID. All you could do if you wanted her to have the additional storage is set up a new account for yourself and migrate your iCloud data to the new account, then let her take over the existing account.

You shouldn't have to change your iTunes account to not have to purchase it twice. If your devices are using different iTunes IDs, just purchase it on one device, then import it to your iTunes library by connecting the device to your computer, opening iTunes and going to File>Devices>Transfer Purchases. Once in iTunes, you should be able to sync it to your other device (assuming both devices are syncing with the same iTunes library). (And even if they were syncing with separate libraries, you could use Home Sharing to copy the app from one library to the other.)

Can I share an icloud account with my wife but not share contacts?
My wife and I want to share the same icloud account. We both have iphones, and our contacts are getting messed up. Is there a way of storing our contacts separately? Or do I need to create a new icloud account for my wife? If so, how do I do that, as both our e-mail addresses are already linked to the existing appleID.
I personally would recommend to use two different Apple IDs/iCloud accounts for iCloud. And of course, you would still be able to share calendars, reminders and you could still set up "your" account as a secondary account on her device, so that she could also still access your email address.
To set up a new primary account, please go to Settings > iCloud > Delete Account (This would only delete the account from the device). Then create a new account here. After you set up her new account, you could add your account as a secondary iCloud account in "Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendar > iCloud" and then activate just only Mail (and of course keep contacts turned off). -
How do I verify my iCloud account when the email address Apple wants to send the instructions to doesn't exist? I know I need to change the email account associated with iCloud but there doesn't seem to be a way to do so. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Did you create an entirely new ID or did you just change the Gmail address to a new email address on your existing ID?

One of the phones can keep the current account; on the one that will be moving go to Settings>iCloud and turn all data that is syncing with iCloud (contacts, calendars, etc.) to Off. When prompted choose to keep the data on the iPhone. After everything is turned off, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. (This will only delete the account from this phone, not from iCloud. The other phone will not be effected by this.) Next, set up a new iCloud account on this phone using a different Apple ID and turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On. When prompted, choose Merge. This will upload the data to the new account. At this point you will have two different iCloud accounts, one for each phone, with identical data on them.
You will then have to go to icloud.com on your computer and sign into each iCloud account separately and manually delete the other person's data (such as deleting your wife's contacts from your account, and vice versa). These changes will be reflected on each phone. When finished you will have individual iCloud accounts with just your own data on them. -
recently purchased a 2nd handed iphone 4s(that's all i afford) but when trying to create icloud account it give me "com.apple.appleaccount error 403" message. I am asking for support and advice.

How do we change itune and icloud accounts? My wife and I have separate accounts but she cannot access hes, only mine. This causes many issues like face time, text etc. Do we have to reset her devices and start fresh?

1. you may have to take it in to Apple and get an out of warranty iphone for $199.
2. you can get your information from a backup of your phone. you do have a backup of your phone right either in iTunes or icloud. If you don't then your answer will be no. -

I purchased my wife an Iphone and we currently use the same icloud account, but we just ran out of storage. I'm not sure if we need so much more space that I'm ready to upgrade to 15 total GB of storage. If my wife sets up her own icloud account for her iphone will she and I still be able to share our photos, downloaded apps and music with different icloud accounts?
Apps and music aren't anything to do with your iCloud account, indeed you can use different ID's for each.
If you create and use another ID for iCloud, you will not be able to share both photostreams to the same user account on the computer.
This could be worked around with a second user account on the computer for the second user to do all their computing in. However you may find that photostreams shared albums will work around the problem for you. For example if you create a shared album and share it with your partner, any photos you add to that album will be available in your partners photostream on the computer. -

If I have account create for email address [email protected] and there is automatically created [email protected], is it possible that they have different passwords?
The login and password for your iCloud mail is the same as for your iCloud account; when you sign into the iCloud account in Setting>iCloud and enable Mail there, the Mail app should automatically be set up for your iCloud mail.
Of course though [email protected] may be the login for iCloud, accessing actual mail set to that address requires the login and password for that account, not iCloud. -
HT204053 2 devices - 1 icloud account issues; importing data to Iphone 6
I have an Iphone 4G and ipad which was sharing 1 icloud account . Big mistake! Because, the storage space was insufficient for both devices' data, I stopped backing up any more data into the icloud. Now I bought a new Iphone 6 and am wondering how I am to sync all my data ( including all the photos and contacts and apps) across from the Iphone 4G to the Iphone 6 .
Also, since I originally have 2 devices, can I create another icloud account separate for 4G now and then use that to sync my data across to the new Iphone 6?
Otherwise I find it impossible to start using my iphone 6 at all!

My concern is that I do not want the data ( except for emails) which is in Ipad to be synced over to the new iphone which I made the mistake of doing before with Iphone 4. The 2 devices are used for very different purposes so I would like to have 2 separate accounts for each device. My problem is trying to import only data from the iphone 4G to the new Iphone ,whereas since previously I only set up 1 icloud account for both devices, the data ( eg photos, songs , books and apps ) appeared on both devices. I am trying to deviate from this. so in essence., I am hoping to set up a totally new account for the new iphone but to copy data from iphone 4 across.
Or should I buy extra storage for a month just for the purpose of backing up all data from both ipad and iphone 4 into that particular icloud account, then set up a new icloud account for iphone 6 and copy everything across and then delete data that came from the ipad one by one in the iphone 6 . After all, the new iphone 6 has 64 gb. In that way, I can still maintain the icloud account for ipad ( and then delete all the unnecessary data from iphone 4 in that particular icloud account) and have a separate icloud account for the new Iphone 6 as well.
