How do I upload a large video from my iphone 4s to the icloud, as a message or to facebook.

iCloud doesn't sync videos. It only syncs photos (using photo sync).

Bug in which Premiere does not allow publishing of videos to YouTube over 15 minutes.

When I try to publish a video to YouTube over 15 minutes I get this error: "The video duration exceeds the maximum duration supported by the destination. Please reduce the duration of video and try again."
Clearly YouTube's policies change over time - they allow videos much longer than this. Shockingly, Premiere does not offer any option to override this limit which obviously should not be set in stone. Please help.

If you are using Premiere Elements 9, 10, 11, or 12, the upload to YouTube from within the project feature is stated and is
2.00 GB/15 minutes. So no bug. The YouTube dialog in the sharing section of 9, 10, 11, or 12 clearly state that. Now, if you have a version earlier than 9, you will run into limits of 2048.0 MB (aka 2 GB) and only 10 minutes. Those earlier versions were never updated to 15 minutes when Adobe extended the time for its YouTube feature from10 to 15 minutes going from version 8 to 9.
The YouTube limits for its upload at its site are governed by YouTube and not Adobe. In fact, I have been told that you can get extended upload times there with special accounts. I do not believe that YouTube has changed its basic time 15 minutes. Rather is offering "regular" 15 minutes as well as an extended time for those who request it. See link at the end of the next paragraph.
If you have a Premiere Elements Timeline content that is greater than 2.0 GB/15 minutes, then your ONLY choice is to export that Timeline content to a file saved to your computer hard drive and then upload that file to YouTube at the YouTube web site after you make whatever arrangements so that you do not end up with just 15 minutes there. I believe you are probably referring to iCloud photo sharing. If you wait a while, the next version of Yosemite will include the new Photos application which will sync video through the iCloud photo library feature.

Are you using any software to import videos? Did you tried Picasa or you just open your iPhone from My Computer?

indeed, although you're entitled for uploads beyond 15min (as I do ), iM sets some unwanted benchmark. me no programmer, unfortunately diggin' thru various -plists of the app didn't show me any 'hidden flag' we can set to change that.

Just a couple minutes surfing - YouTube only allows 15 minute videos from general users -- to upload larger apparently you have to be a trusted long time source. There is also a restriction on the file size.
YouTubes help section should give you all the details.
I don't watch online videos - so I just used a query in ASK.Com to get some quick tips.

Meant to add - export from iMovie using Share > Export Movie. Choose an appropriate size, such as Medium, Large, HD 720p or HD 1080p. Give it a name and save location (say, Desktop). YouTube will let you navigate to this movie file. You can also use the file elsewhere, say for burning a DVD or playback on a media player and so forth.
Depending on the export size (resolution), the file will be either .mov or .m4v (both will be in H.264 format, which is the same type of file exported when using the Share > YouTube option).

iCloud video sharing is limited to 5 minute clips, there are better ways of sharing longer clips, such as YouTube or DropBox.

David and Keith have got this right. Don't depend on FCP to do the account verification and upload. Export your movie and use Compressor, or MPEG STreamclip, or QT Pro to spit out an h.264. Manually upload. Be generous in setting video quality. YT, Vimeo et al will recompress and the more information your file contains (within reason) the better. Just make sure any interlaced material is de-interlaced (a vote for Compressor) and the process will be smoother if you give them 29.97 frame rates,

DMS-200 doesn't play uploaded videos: "Connection to video server failed"

Hello, everybody!
I have CISCO DMS-200 deployed. I have console and an http access, I can manage options, I can upload videos, but I can't play them in web-browser. The device was bought 6 months ago and deployment was done by 3rd party. But the video playing over browser didn't work ever.
There is no proxy between PC and DMS, I have all codecs installed on PC, I've checked FireFox, IE, Chrome...
When I try to start video playing, the following message appears: "Connection to video server failed". (See screenshot).
I have some ideas about the reasons.
First, may be I need an additional license for Player at DMS-200 side? Because in Digital Media Players section I have "This feature is not licensed".

Second, may be there are problems with File Hosting Locations? I have several error messages like "URL test failed" in the appropriate section (Please, see screenshots).
So, please, share you ideas about the issue! There is a few information about the problem, I can't find anything. Are there any ways to turn on debug at DMS-200 side?

It is as if the server has decided that the client has timed out during the file upload. The default setting is 30 seconds for AcceptTimeout in the magnus.conf file. This should be ample to get the file across, even increasing this to 2 minutes just produces the same error after 2 minutes. Any help appreciated. Apologies if this is not the correct forum for this, I couldn't see one for iPlanet and Web, many thanks, Kieran.

You didnt mention which version of IWS. follow these steps.
(1)Goto Web Server Administration Server, select the server you want to manage.
(2)Select Preference >> Perfomance Tuning.
(3)set HTTP Persistent Connection Timeout to your choice (eg 180 sec for three minutes)
(4) Apply changes and restart the server.
*Setting the timeout to a lower value, however, may prevent the transfer of large files as timeout does not refer to the time that the connection has been idle. For example, if you are using a 2400 baud modem, and the request timeout is set to 180 seconds, then the maximum file size that can be transferred before the connection is closed is 432000 bits (2400 multiplied by 180)

IPod Video 5th Generation Upload Video to IPod Problem.

Hi all,
I recently purcase an IPod video, and I have problem with uploading video from Itunes to my IPod. Is working fine when I set it to automatically sync. But when I change the setting to manually and drag the video file into the Movies folder (Itunes) is doesn't seem to be upload to my IPod. Music is working fine. Any one know why.

Well this is a hard one,
You need to do a few things.
First you need to get it ripped in a file format by using questionable-legality software (Cough* like mine*). Or you could use illegal-ish (but not really illegal) software such as Limewire. But if for SOME reason you already have it in that from. Here is what you do.
Download this software.

It is free and really easy to use. This will convert your movie file to compatible format, MPEG-4 (or Quick-Time).
Ok that was the easy part!
Now you will have to manually set the Audio bit rate to match to Video Bit rate in the Videora. The help tool will show you how to do it. You may get lucky and it will be the get the same bit rate for both. And then you are good to go! (it is worth a try, up to this point, some videos auto convert exactly to try it)
BUT IF NOT: (here we go)
To get the Audio and Video bit rate, change your view mode in the file folder where your original file is located to filmstrips. Now, hover your mouse over the video file, you should see Audio & Video bit rate. If not you will have to fiddle with Videora to get it right. Now change to bit rates in your options in Videora to match the original file. If the audio is off from the video, your sound will lag while your video plays or vise versa. Meaning, at about 5 min your audio could be off by over 45 sec.
Alright, you got your video. Now drag and drop it into Itunes, and drop it into your ipod. There you go! Easy right?
Well if you are lost after the “BUT IF NOT” part and you can’t get it working sufficiently before that point. My suggestion is to give up, unless you are great with computer fiddling.
So all in all it can be done, but it is VERY hard to do! I have done it, but it takes a while to work (2-3 hours-ish).

This might sound like a silly question... but what is the process of uploading videos to youtube?
Does the video get processed into youtube friendly format and then get uploaded to youtube?
So therefore, no re-processing is required on youtube? And therefore the video appears intantly after upload

If the above is true... then I think the best way to do the work is to process the video on my laptop and output in best format
And ONLY then upload to youtube
From experience, I've found this takes time for the video to be processed and then published on youtube
Problem: I've had about 40 videos, all of about 1 minute 30 seconds uploading from FCPX
I left overnight. he queue is STILL processing
I'd rather have youtube process and use up their CPU power!

Encode before you upload use the share function or better with Compressor (export master file anad let Compressor encode with youtube preset and upload that file via Safari or the Uploader

100 mb is not a lot for a video taken with the N8. I have several videos much larger than this. I would like to upload them on Ovi, but I can't. Is there a way to upload video more than 100 mb on Ovi?

the space usage information is helpful, but I need to record longer. 9GB will not fill any of the new iPods. I'm trying to record longer than the 50 minute limit the current devices seem to have.
