The best way: Set up separate user accounts on the computer. One for you and one for your wife. Each will get its own unique iTunes library, address book, etc.
Use unique Apple ID's for you and for your wife. Do NOT share an Apple ID for iCloud, iTunes store, etc.
You will not be able to use the same credit card on both accounts, but Apple does make allowances for giving an 'allowance' to someone (think children with a monthly or weekly allowance). Perhaps that would work for you if you really can't set up the second account with a separate card.

Why do we have to spend $39 for a phone call if Adobe has made an error with your account ?

Have new computer with win8, cannot transfer with seral numbers, in my account there is no history of purchases of elements9 and premier elements 9. I refuse to spend money for a phone call for the error on my statement that leaves out the purchase order number not allowing me to download with a missing link.

Perhaps you will be kind enough to state your problem here so that volunteers can help you out. We can't help you with lost serial numbers or activations on multiple machines; otherwise most problems can be addressed and if there is no solution we'll say so.

I had to change my apple ID and password. When I want to update my aps. on my I phone 4S I get a box that says I need to sign in to I tunes. It has my old apple ID and I can't find any way on my phone to change the address it has in the box. Help!!

Thank you for the help. Every app on my phone was downloaded using my old I-tunes ID. I just hope that they will re-download under my new ID because I still can't change it on my phone. In order to change to the new ID it says I have to sign out from the old ID and change to the new one. My problem is that I don't remember my password to be able to sign out from my old ID. Then the phone says it can change my password through e-mail and I agree but I never get an e-mail at my old address or the new one.

What do you mean the PC won't let you transfer the music? Save your entire iTunes folder (this is assuming that you have all your music stored in your iTunes folder) to an external hard drive. Connect that hard drive to your Mac. Copy the iTunes folder to your computer. Hold down the option key while launching iTunes on your Mac. Select the library you just copied when it ask you to select which library you want to open.

To build on the second option provided by The Edmeister make sure that you have your Sync Key, if this is not the case Firefox Sync will not help you (data is encrypted with that Key).
Finally, if the last sync happened long time ago, it may be the case that your data is not on the servers anymore. Firefox Syn wasn't designed as a back up service.

Remove and re-install iTunes. This has no affect on the media that is stored on the computer.
That being said, depending on what was done, it may also be necessary to restore the iTuneslibrary.itl file from the backup of the computer.

Correct. When you update via iTunes all synced media that is not in your iTunes library will be lost.

Buy yourself a backup drive. Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer is structured around you maintaining your media on a computer which is itself properly backed up against loss. Syncing is one way, computer to device, matching the device content to the content on the computer. The exception is purchased content.

Press and hold both the on/off button and the home button and release them both when the apple logo appears. That will reboot the phone. try that.
