HT204074 Can't delete old apple ID at all

I can not delete my old apple ID from my iphone when I want to update my apps. I have changed my ID and password on itunes and even on my iphone. However everything i hit update the old ID/email pops up.
I would like to asked someone how to do this. I just changed my ID on the iphone and it seem to do that same change on itunes. I am so confused now I don't know what to do. I even reset the entire iphone a few weeks back to start over and that old ID keeps popping up. My next step is to delete all my download apps and start over.

What I did was write down all the apps I had. Then i deleted them all, I put in my NEW e-mail with a NEW password. Then you go back and download all the apps you had with this new e-mail and password as if you are starting all over from the beginning. I have had no problem since I did this. Now when I see a new app I just down load it . Apparently all your apps were downloaded or purchase under the old e-mail and password.
Why apple does it this way I don't know. We all change our e-mails and or passwords all the time and they should make it the way it is on Facebook.
Again, you have to put in a NEW e-mail and NEW password but you must delete all your apps. Apparently you must do this on your iphone and itune account too. You have to add new e-mail and password to both so they are seeing the same thing. Don't give up the phones, I know how you feel I wanted to throw mine against the wall! LOL

The content (music, videos, apps, games, etc) that is aquired with an Apple ID is forever tied to that ID. Apple does not transfer the content of one Apple ID to another ID and Apple does not merge Apple IDs. Unless you wish to abandon all of the content associated with an Apple ID and buy it again with another Apple ID, you should maintain the ID in order to redownload or update the content in the future.
It is not a good idea to make numerious Apple IDs for this very reason.

If you don't want ANY one at Apple knowing your email address you could try this:
Go to http://myinfo.apple.com/ and where your email address is listed just replace it with a made-up one like "[email protected]"

Hi guys!!
First of all, please, excuse my english......i know it's the worst possible and will try to develop it.
My question is the following.
The hard disk of my xServe is almost full and I need to delete the old Apple Software Udates that it contains (some of them are from 2005!!)
And I don´t know how to make it!!
I`ve uncheck the "automatically enable copied updates" option in Server Admin and I´ve check-in the "Purge unused/legacy software", but i don´t know how to delete the oldest Apple Software Updates because I don´t know where the **** are they!!

Go to settings and sign out of the old id and into the new one (covered in the manual)..

Yes, just open mail and click on the window menu and select previous recipients, when the window opens start edit your email addresses.

Can't delete old pictures

Is anyone have the same problem: I used iPhoto since a while.
I upgrade to iPhoto 09 last month.
Today, I am organizing my pics and I am unable to delete pictures !
I can delete fresh pictures (I mean picture I just uploade from my camera)
I can't delete old picture from 2-3 month...?
I delete and the spinning icon (for waiting) kepps on turning and the iPhoto freeze...
This problem occurs when I try to delete one our a group of picture.
I changed nothing in the parameters.
I haven't lock any file.

I am having the same problem, having recently switched from 08 to 09. I can't delete photos as the machine hangs up and shows me the dreaded beach ball and (not responding) message - I have tried different ways to delete and different numbers of photos, hoping one my be the source of my problem. I have rebuilt my libraries - all things that I see being recommended on this site.
It has hung up on me numerous times while trying to perform other tasks as well, such as batch changes or changes to dates and times, cut and pasting between events and related type tasks. Apple is getting a ton of messages from Force Quit. Any other suggestions? The only thing I haven't done is try to re-install. Getting pretty frustrating.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
All backups made on iCloud overwrite the old one, so you have only the latest backup with your most recent files. If you have a backup of an old device, open Settings > iCloud > Storage and Backup > Manage Storage, select the backup and delete that backup

Par for the course with so many companies - "Delete My Account" is virtually impossible to find. How can I delete my Apple account? I don't want yet another account that people can hack and buy stuff fraudulently. Thanks. But really, these companies should be forced to let people know how they can delete accounts if&when they want to.

I wholeheartedly agree. It seems rather pedestrian given that *supposedly* lesser sites/brands allow 'opting out gracefully' at any time - most with the ability to scrub everything clean and start again.
It's annoying enough that Apple fail to contribute much practical help here, but to obfuscate the fact it's also impossible to leave is rather unbecoming to say the least - just see the number of questions on account deletion etc.
So in short then: spending 1000s of $£¥€ or whatever on the 'best tech' on the planet and still no ability to do a basic account closure (or even a trace of Blu-Ray support even)...
Nevermind. Clearly Apple feel that life in "The Village" is just so great that who in their right mind would want to go.
Now repeat after me: "YOU ARE NOT A PERSON - YOU ARE NUMBER SIX!!"
