HT204074 Does the 90-day account device association limit app layering on devices?

Apple once said that layer apps, via multiple iTunes accounts on device, was a way to manage devices in certain settings. Is that now not the case?

Sorry but you have to wait the 90 days. The parents can add the credit card upon setup but it can later be removed via iTunes on your computer. There is no legal way of giving the music to him since it was purchased under your account.

  • Does the 14 day exchange policy cover if I'm just not happy with my new device?

    Hi,
I just used my upgrade to get a Samsung Galaxy S3, and after activating it and only using it for a few hours, I'm already regretting not getting the Iphone s4 instead.  (The galaxy was free, and I think the s4 was .99 cents or something)
The device itself is ok, but it's just too large for me to practically carry around, and it's only going to be more bulky if I put some sort of protective cover on it.  I can't imagine carrying this thing around until I can upgrade again.
Does the 14 day exchange cover this?  When exactly does the 14 days start from?  Is there a re-stocking fee?
    Thanks!

Yes, the 14 day return period covers this. Yes, there is a $35 restocking fee. The 14 days begins the day you make the purchase.

  • Check the G/L account  in overall limit of  Purchase order - ME22

    Hi
I should check the G/L account  in overall limit of  Purchase order ( modify - transaction ME22 )
Someone knows an exit or badi in witch i may check this ?
There is an enhancement that i can work on this information?
    Thank you

To order a Shopping cart the GL account is not mandatory. It is assumed that the SC is being created by the employee and it mainly concentrates only the SC item data and the employee need not have the knowlede of the GL account.
You can make it  mandatory by implementing the doc_check_badi.
Ideally the SC can be orederd without the GL account data which would create a held PO. Purchaser will need to enter this data
    to complete the PO

  • Does the DDK suports USB devices on Linux?

Hi, I would like to know if the current version of the DDK supports USB devices on Linux. Here are the details of the setup I would like to use. There are important because the computer to be use is not a typical PC.
The USB device would be from the USB 62xx DAQ family, probably a 6218 model.
The computer to be used is an industrial PC/104 board from VIPER.
The processor of this computer is an ARM Xscale, and the operating system is an embedded Linux from ARCOM, with Kernel 2.6.
Form the programming point of view, the embedded OS is like any other Linux, just with very limited resources, like memory and storage space. In fact, the developing process has to be done using cross-compilation of C and C++ code (with arm-linux-gcc and arm-linux-g++).
The NI-DAQ Base drivers could be installed on the computer used to do the development and cross-compilation, but I do not know if these drivers could be used to make standalone programs for the embedded system (correct me if I’m wrong). So, I think my only option would be to use the DDK. The problem is that I have read in this forum (probably an old answer) that the DDK does not support USB devices. Is that right?
Resuming, I need some enlightenment before decide what DAQ device to purchase.
The short version of the question is: would it be possible to use and USB 62xx Device in an embedded computer with an ARM Xscale processor and ARCOM embedded Linux OS? If that so, could I use the NI-DAQ Base or it has to be the DDK?
Have in mind that my application is not very demanding in terms of performance. Mainly, I want to be able to perform DA and AD operations, and to use a counter (DMA and IRQ support is not essential).
Any help would be greatly appreciate,
    Best Regards,
    EH

  • Does the BT Broadband account username/password ha...

I'm a little confused as to whether the BT Broadband account username and password has any significance. Let me explain. I have just upgraded the Broadband plan on one site and BT sent me a new Business Hub 5. I didn't need it as I have installed a TPLink 9980 VDSL router there, so I decided to use it at another location where I have BT Infinity but with the separate HomeHub 3 and Openreach modem.
However, when I came to install it I couldn't remember my BT account password (I knew the username from the HomeHub 3). So instead I just tried the username and password from the other site and it worked fine. What's the score there ? I assume I am not using the account from the original site as that would be a major loophole in BT's accounting. Therefore it would seem that the username and password are redundant and it purely goes on knowing which physical line it is connected to, in which case why is there any need for login credentials at all ?

  • HT204074 What is the point of the 90 day timer for associated apple ID's?

Why did apple enable this stupid 90 day timer for purchases between apple ID's?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
It's to stop you logging into everyone else's iTunes match/in the cloud account and effectively listening to any music that you want without paying for it..

  • HT204074 whats the difference between managed devices and authorized computers

What is the difference between the 10 managed devices and 5 authorized machines? What cant I do on the Unauthorized device that is a managed device?

This is my understanding of it.
Authorisation only applies to computers, not devices (iPads, iPhones, iPod Touches) - it allows you to play/use your iTunes downloads on that computer e.g. playing music, films etc., and to sync that content to a device. Up to 5 computers can be authorised at a time.
Having a device associated (or managed) with your account, which can be up to 10 computers and devices (and as each associated computer must also be authorised to your account it means that at most 5 of the 10 can be computers) means that you've used iTunes Match, automatic downloads and/or re-downloaded past purchases on them. Once a device or computer is associated to an account it will be tied to that account for 90 days. You can still sync content to a device without it being on the associated list.
A managed computer must also be an authorised computer, so you can't have one that is unauthorised but associated.

  • How is data sync'ed, or is the information from the different devices merged together or does the "first sync'ed" device overwrite the other devices entries?

Quite basic question, though the result is fundamentally different - and I'd like to know for sure before starting the sync. ;)

The devices that are listed are: 2 under the name of the device that synced incorrectly with mine and then 3 others that are not associated with my itouch. The name of the ipod, before the incorrect sycning is no longer under devices.  It has been replaced with the incorrect one because I can see the serial # of my ipod under the wrong name.
The playlists that are in my itunes library are from an ipod that I used a few times before I took this one over... Which happens to be the ipod that took on the ID of my itouch.
Both of these ipods used to be my kids.. I used my sons a few times and then switched to my daughters.  They each had their names attachted to their particular devices and now it just says my sons, which is the ipod that itunes was connecting to when all this happened. The really strange thing is my son doesnt use his ipod any longer and now uses his phone for music...So, it had been a while since that particular device was even synced to itunes!
    I hope this helps!

  • What does the "deauthorize audible account" option do ?

Sorry if this is the wrong place but I just stumbled over this option in the advanced menu.
What's it for and what's it do ?
    Thanks.

    hi again
    his should help:
Audible is an online store that sells Audiobooks. The audiobooks purchased from Audibooks work the same way as the songs purchased from iTunes. You can only play the audiobooks on a limited number of computers. In iTunes, you can deauthorize your account to make your computer unable to play the audiobooks purchased from Audible (i.e. when you change computers).
If you don't have an Audible account, you can just ignore this function.

  • How long does the i tunes account lock for, how long does the i tunes account lock for

Howlon does it take because i entered the wrong security questions

As I wrote Apple will diagnose an Apple product even if it is out of warranty for free. That should be your first step to find out if the problem is the battery or something else.
Once you have Apple telling you a 7 month old battery is defective (if that turns out to be the case)  then it becomes a game of horse trading. You'll need to speak to the tech and when he tells you there is nothing he can do you will need to speak to the tech manager and when she says most likely there is nothing they can do you go to the store manager, etc.  It is unlikely (though possible) that they will give in easily you need to be firm, polite and let on that you're willing to accept a partial reimbursement.
So again the first step is to find out what is wrong.
    good luck

  • Why does the "verify your account" link not work???

How much more detail can I give? My wife is donating me her Macbook, and I wanted to migrate my bookmarks from my windows XP machine. Her being helpful when I was out cutting firewood, installed sync on both computers and created an account for me, but nothing has worked because the "VERIFY" button on the email YOU sent me goes to ...
    The connection was reset
The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.
The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.
If I try to use the "RESET PASSWORD" or "FORGOT PASSWORD" links I eventually get to the same page.

This is still happening and that this still happens in Safe Mode [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode]].
And do you allow Firefox to make redirects, or do you have a firewall/antivirus that may be blocking the redirect? [[Websites don't load - troubleshoot and fix error messages]]

  • What exatly does the G5 1.6 500GB HD limit mean?

I have been searching all morning to find this out. On this spec sheet (towards the bottom under storage: http://support.apple.com/specs/powermac/PowerMacG5.html
. . . apple states the the max storage is 500GB. Does this mean for each drive or total storage. I have the 80GB drive that came with the G5 in right now and am interested in putting in either a 750GB or 1TB drive in .. is there any way to do this?
I know with the older models there was a hack to allow bigger hard drives: http://www.speedtools.com/ATA6.shtml
. . . is there a way around this at all .. or did apple just say the 500GB limit because that was the biggest option with 2 drives at the time and I'm worrying about nothing.
    2.4 macbook pro, 1ghz emac, 1.6 early g5   Mac OS X (10.4.10)   .. FRUSTRATION!

... you might want to look at investing in
something that supports SATA II, more memory, and
more cpu than single cpu w/ PCI only.
    OWC www.macsales.com has 500GB drives for $99
currently. Hitachi 1000GB is over $400.
I don't have the budget for a new computer right now. At the moment I'm trying to squeeze everything I can of of this one. In the future I plan to look in to making this one a hard drive server after upgrading to a MacPro I've been looking at the G5 Jive bundle on OWC as an option. Do you have any suggestions as how I should map out building up the HD array. Right now I have one internal HD slot open, one 500 GB ESATA HD with one free ESATA slop open on the card, and a firewire 400 drive. My primary use is video editing.

Only iOS devices with a cellular radio/GPS have a digital compass and thus only those device have the Compass app. No iPods have a cellular radio/GPS since then do not have a digital compass and thus none have the Compass app.
