also I cant play any music from my libery when my computer is not logged into I tunes Help Please
Have you already logged into one account on it and used iTunes Match, automatic downloads and/or download past purchases from that account ? If you have then it will be associated to that account for 90 days, as mentioned on the page that you posted from. If you can't wait for the 90 days to complete then you can try contacting iTunes Support and see if they can remove the association : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

Not all USB ports provide enough power to charge the iPad. It may charge very slowly while the screen is off. Charge it using the included charger and you should be fine.

Do you already have the Kindle app downloaded to an iPhone or another iPad? Do you have "Automatic Downloads" turned on under Settings>iTunes & App Store for Apps on your iPad?
You might want to try touching and holding the Kindle App option in your Purchased list, and when it highlights, let go, and it will go to a a detail page for the app with another "Open" option on it. See if it will open from there.
If you do have Automatic Downloads turned on on the iPad, turn it off, and then go back to purchased to see if the Kindle is still showing as "Open".

You need Snow Leopard before you can go to Lion...

I've never seen this issue, and I handle many iPads, of all versions. WiFi issues are generally local to the WiFi router - they are not all of the same quality, range, immunity to interference, etc. You have distance, building construction, and the biggie - interference.
At home, I use Apple routers, and have no issues with any of my WiFi enabled devices, computers, mobile devices, etc - even the lowly PeeCees. I have locations where I have Juniper Networks, as well as Aruba, and a few Netgears - all of them work as they should.
The cheaper routers, Linksys, D-Link, Seimens home units, and many other no name devices have caused issues of various kinds, and even connectivity.
I have no idea what Starbucks uses, but I always have a good connection, and I go there nearly every morning and get some work done, as well as play.
You could try changing channels, 2.4 to 5 Gigs, changing locations of the router. I have had to do all of these at one time or another over the many years that I have been a Network Engineer.

However, the email I want to use is already associated with my old apple id, can I delete this account completely to "restart"?
No, that is not possible as well as not preferred. If you setup a new Apple ID your previous purchases, downloads, etc. done with the old Apple ID will not longer be available unless you re-purchase them using the new Apple ID.

I just bought a new MacBook Air after my old one suffered a drink being spilled on it and died. I used migration assistant to back up from my time capsule but now it won't open Mail or Safari and iTunes can't find all my music. Any ideas how to fix this? I have downloaded software updates.
Thanks for that advice however now I have a duplicate of all my documents on my hard drive but the Mail and Safari will not open. I have been able to open iTunes. I have tried to download software updates for Mail and Safari and this tells me that the download was unsuccessful ( after taking some time to download). Can I reinstall the system? Would that help?

I have an iphone that is locked to orange and have been waiting over 50 days now for it to be unlocked and keep getting fobbed off with promises to sort it out. I dont know how many calls have been made and am getting really frustrated now. Does anyone know how apple are involved with the unlock as im jst not getting any answers from orange and they just keep saying they dont know why its takng so long

They locked it originally and it is their gift to unlock ....usually in their own time.

Hi I just bought an Apple TV device i have detected the 2WIRE and entered the Product Key Password. It takes that okay the screen goes to Connecting followed by Activating below in small print it says Setting date and time but nevr leaves that screen it just clocks there for evr???
Welcome to the Apple Community.
Assuming this is not the first time you have used your Apple TV
You might try restarting the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Also try restarting the router. (Also try removing it’s power cord for at least 30 seconds)
If the problem persists, try a restore, you may want to try the previous procedures several times before doing this.
If restoring from the Apple TV doesn't help, try restoring from iTunes using a USB cable.
If this is a new Apple TV, in addition to trying the above, it may also be that your network router is not allowing access to the timeserver, check that your router allows access over port 123. -

I just bought my first Mac computer a week ago, but i'm having a little trouble using iMovieHD - with the latest update, but i'm having trouble importing an mpeg2 in so that I can edit and do other things with it. I did purchase the mpeg2 componet from Apple, so it does play with Quicktime - also, when I go to import it - the import box comes down, and then goes right back up dissapears - the first time it said "Quicktime couldn't parse it" - whatever that means. Can iMovie not import mpeg2's? or am I doing something wrong? also, when I go to create a project - should I choose "dv" video type?thanks! I just found that application. it's working fine now - but it made my clip into a widescreen clip - I chose "DV" when I started iMovie - also, I chose "DV" to convert the mpeg2 - maybe that had something to do with it?
