HT204074 I want to reset my security question but don't know how

I'm trying to purchase apps using my iPhone but its asking me to answer 2 security questions and I have no clue what Passwords I used. And it won't give me an
Me the options to reset it or hint nothing pls help I'm getting annoyed!

When the iPhone crashes, locks up in a way that prevents the iPhone from responding to being turned off, or just isn't working as it should (you'd be surprised at how many problems can be solved by a simple reset) you need to reset the iPhone. Here's how:
Reset the iPhone by holding the sleep/wake button at the top right of the device and the home button at the bottom center of the face at the same time.
Hold them both until you see the screen go black. In some cases, you may need to keep holding them even after the red power off slider appears. If it does, just keep holding it.
Wait until the white Apple logo appears.
When this happens, you can let go - the iPhone is rebooting.
An iPhone reset will not normally remove or delete any data or settings. However, the term reset is also sometimes used to mean deleting all content from the iPhone and/or restoring from a backup.

Hi I've been wanting to reset my security questions but I don't have a rescue email address what should I do?

    HI,
Get a secondary email from a service like Google or Yahoo  (something that is not going to disappear like an ISP one might if you change services).
Add it to the Apple ID page.

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; this can be done by clicking here and picking a method, or if your country isn't listed, filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

  • I want to reset the security questions, but the email it sends it to does not belong to me, and I only have one email registered.

I went to purchase a book and it asked me 2 security questions that I do not even remember setting up. I went to click "send reset email", but I did not recognize the email. The email was f********@yahoo.com, and I even checked to make sure that I had only one email, i*****@rocketmail.com. Where did this other email come from and how do I fix it?

Are you sure that you never set up a rescue email address on your account ? I'm not sure where you checked as that is the only place that the rescue email address appears on your account (apart from if you answer the 2 questions, in which case you can then edit/remove it).
If you don't recognise the email address then see if this user-tip helps for getting the questions reset : https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-4551

  • TS1424 Apple somehow changed one of my security questions and now I need to RESET and come with nw security questions.  Don't know how.

Apple somehow changed one of my security questions and I have no idea how to answer.  How do you change your security questions?

If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then you can try going to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you might see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then see if the instructions on this user tip helps you get them reset : https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-4551

  • HT5312 What if I forgot the answers to my security questions, but don't know what my rescue email address is? Can I change the rescue email address?

iTunes won't let me download anything until I verify my account, but I cannot do it! I need help URGENTLY.

You can't change your resuce email w/o security questions.
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then see if this user tip helps : https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-4551
e.g. you can try contacting iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management , and then try Apple ID Account Security
or try ringing Apple in your country and ask to talk to the Accounts Security Team : http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57

  • I want to reset my IPhone 4S but don't know the passcode?

I'm having problems with my phone and want to reset it however it's asking for a passcode, I have no idea what this is and have never used it before, I don't have a passcode lock on my phone either. Is there an original default code or how do I reset it without inputting the code?

  • When previewing my website in Dreamweaver flash crashed - I need to change the security settings but don't know how to do this

I use Dreamweaver and Adobe Bridge to create slide shows on my website. When 'previewing' the slideshow - in Dreamweaver it opens Firefox - it crashed and the dialogue box opens telling me to change my 'settings' - it doesn't do this if I preview in IE - which I don't understand. I need help in knowing where to go to change the security settings so that this doesn't happen. Incidentally, when I am on the web through Firefox, my website slideshows work perfectly>

You can set the pref dom.ipc.plugins.timeoutSecs to to -1 on the about:config page to disable the timeout.
    See also http://kb.mozillazine.org/Plugin-container_and_out-of-process_plugins
To open the <i>about:config</i> page, type <b>about:config</b> in the location (address) bar and press the "<i>Enter</i>" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.<br />
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.<br />

  • I want to 'group-check' my songs but don't know how to..help

    hi
have about 80gig of music and for some reason most have them become "unticked" (unchecked) - is there away i can group re-tick them.... i can't face tick them all manually....
any advice would be very welcome.... thanks

Windows users don't have an "Option" key.
The worst thing is that I always test stuff like that before I post it, just to be sure I remember correctly, and I tested that on a Windows machine. Apparently the Ctrl key morphed into Option in the few seconds that it took me to come back to my Mac and type my response!

If the email hasn't arrived after a few hours and isn't in a spam filter, you need to ask Apple to reset them. To do this, click here and pick a method; if that page doesn't list one for your country or you're unable to call, fill out and submit this form.

  • HT5312 Every time I click send e-mail for instructions on resetting my security questions, I don't get them? I just want to play minecraft. I already put $15 in my balance and I can't even spend it. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Why is it, every time I click send e-mail for instructions on resetting my security questions, I don't get them? I just want to play minecraft. I already put $15 in my balance and I can't even spend it. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Either they're being sent to a different email address, or got caught in a spam filter, or something's wrong at Apple's end. If you can't find the email, you need to ask Apple to reset your security questions, which can be done by phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, or clicking here and picking a method, or if your country isn't listed in either article, filling out and submitting this form.
