HT204074 Manage Devices on iTunes

I got to View My Account all right, but I do not see Manage Devices.  Help!

OH MY GOSH!! I just figured it out. Good thing, because I was not going to be able to function until I did.
The reason I didn't have a "manage devices" option is because I had not authorized any of my devices (Windows PC, iPod Touch, iPhone) to automatically download anything from my iCloud.
Once I went into my settings and did so, I suddenly had "manage devices," and all three of my devices showed up.
Here's the link to show you how to enable automatic downloads on a Mac, PC, or device (iPhone, iPod Touch).
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4539
Hope that helped!
I guess iTunes isn't sexist after all...

    Hello Jaymee1234,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
For more information on this, take a look at:

Once a device or computer is associated with your Apple ID, you cannot associate that device or computer with another Apple ID for 90 days.

  • TS1389 Manage devices in iTunes -how to add a device to iCloud?

I accidentally removed my laptop from "iCloud - Manage devices in iTunes" in my iTunes account and cannot add it again.

My network is something like this I have a VPN tunnel between my NMS and Ciscoworks. The VPN concentrator is the other end of the tunnel. All other devices are behind the VPN Concentrator and are being successfully monitored by CiscoWorks.Only the VPN concentrator is not getting added to CiscoWorks.

  • HT204074 Can't find "manage devices" in itunes...

I want to remove a device from itunes. Apple says:
Removing an associated device or computer from an Apple ID
To remove a device or computer from your Apple ID:
    Open iTunes.
Sign in to your Apple ID by choosing Store > Sign In from the iTunes menu.
Choose Store > View My Account from the iTunes menu.
From the Account Information screen, click Manage Devices.
Click the Remove button next to the device name you would like to unassociate.
However, I am just not able to find "Manage Devices" on the account info screen - what am I missing?

Not sure which instructions you followed so will give the following just in case. The following from Manage your auto-renewing subscriptions - Apple Support just worked for me with the minor differences of instead of the screen showing "Manage App Subscriptions" it shows a section titled "Subscriptions" in light gray and centered below that the word "Manage" in blue.
Use your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to manage subscriptions
From the Home screen, tap App Store.
Tap Featured from the menu at the bottom.
Scroll to the bottom of the page and tap your Apple ID. If you don't see your Apple ID, tap Sign In and enter your information. Then tap your Apple ID.
    Tap View Apple ID.
If prompted, enter your password and tap OK.
On the Account Settings screen, scroll down and tap Manage App Subscriptions.
Tap the subscription you want to manage, then choose a subscription category.
Use the options to manage your subscription. You can choose a different subscription period, or turn off Auto-Renewal.

  • HT204074 'manage devices' button is missing in iTunes account

When opening my iTunes account I can only see that there are two devices active via my account. However, a 'Manage Devices' button is missing. How can I delete and/or add new devices in my account?
    Many thanks in advance, Morilene

It is not missing but is on the far right hand side. So you may have to widen your window to see it.

  • My iPhone 5 is not being recognized as a managed device in itunes.

When I switched to the iPhone 5 I already had 5 managed deviecs listed in itunes.  I went to remove one of the devices but now I cant get my iPhone 5 to show as a managed device.  Because of this i show purchased songs on my iPhone but i cant play them.  How do I fix this?

If you are current.y running iTunes 11 - perhaps you can't see the device becuse the sidebar isn't visible. If that is the case, Go to the menu at the top of the screen - View>Show Sidebar. When the sidebar appears, you should see your iPad under the devices heading.
If it still isn't showing, quit iTunes, reboot your iPad and restart your computer and then try again.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
If that fails to produce the desired results, try here ... Assuming that you are Windows....

  • HT204074 Manage devices link missing

I'm in iTunes, I've signed in, I've gone to manage my account but there is no device management link. Anywhere. Does this article need updating?

iPhone was, of course, connected before I tried. It shouldn't need to be connected to manage the list of devices associated with one's Apple ID in my opinion, but still, there is currently no manage devices link within the iTunes account information page.

  • Managing devices in iTunes

I have bought numerous iOS devices over the years and I am planning on selling some.  I need to deauthorize old devices from my apple ID.  When I go into "Manage devices" in the iTunes store the device list will have several items simply listed as "Mike's Ipad".
When I go to the iOS device and change the name of the device (Settings -> General -> About -> Name) so I know exactly which ones to deauthorize, the name change is not reflected in the iTunes account section under "Manage devices".
Why is the name change not reflected in the iTunes account and how can I identify exactly what device I am deauthorizing?
    Thanks for your help

    Anyone have any ideas?
    Thanks.

  • HT204074 "Manage Devices" is not on my account information page...where can i find it?

"Manage Devices" is not on my account information page in Itunes Store....where can i find it?

The "Manage Devices" button is not there because you don't have any computers or devices enabled for automatic downloads.  After following the steps contained in the link below, the button will appear in your account information page.

  • HT204074 manage devices not available

I am not able to see the option to manage my devices when I am in the View my account settings in iTunes.

i have this too and i think i understand why. Even though your computer is authorized for your apple ID, and your other devices are set up with your apple ID's, none ot them have iTunes "associated with" your apple ID's because you haven't activated iTunes Match nor have you done any "automatic download", nor have you re-downloaded a previsouly purchased (and previously downladed) item. Only of these "iTune in The Cloud" feature would trigger the association and the 90-day lock out.
It also seems that the "Transferring Purchase" from device to computer does NOT trigger the association neither. (it didnt on my computer).

  • How do I make an iPhone 3G an authorized device on iTunes?

My kids were handed down an old iPhone 3G with no phone service so they could use it like an iPod.
I signed out of the previous owner's AppleID account and signed in with my AppleID on the phone, but I can't get to any of my iTunes songs. When I go to Manage Devices in iTunes on my computer, the phone doesn't show up there.
Some directions said to enable automatic downloading, but I can't find where to do that on the iPhone 3.

Sorry, but you can't. If the iPhone has Find My iPhone set up on it and you had the Apple ID and password used, you could lock or erase the iPhone, but there's no way you can monitor the iPhone other than iMessages (for which, again, you would need the Apple ID and password being used). Nor can you turn off any feature without your son or ex-wife knowing about it since you would need physical access to the phone to set up the restrictions.
This is an issue you will need to negotiate with your ex-wife, I'm afraid.
    Regards.

  • Removed mac from devices in itunes in the cloud (get it back?)

in my acct. in the itunes store i accidentally removed my mac from "manage devices", under itunes in the cloud.  my iphone is still listed.  for the life of me i cant figure out how to add my mac back.  i can't seem to find anything to give me a clear and easy answer.  any help would be appreciated, thank you.

As long as your Mac is authorized for the Apple ID (in Store>Authorize This Computer), I believe all you would need to do is either:
Download a previous purchase for the ID in iTunes
Subscribe to iTunes Match using the ID; or
Sign into the iTunes store with the ID, then enable Automatic Downloads in iTunes>Preferences>Store
Any of these should automatically add your Mac to the list of devices that are authorized to download from iTunes in the Cloud.  The only restriction would be if you were trying to change IDs and it had been less than 90 days since it was first associated with the ID (i.e., there is a 90-day wait period before you can switch IDs: see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4627).

  • HT204074 I do not see a "Manage Devices" link when I access my account information through iTunes. I want to know how many devices are linked to my account. Can anyone help?

I have accessed the Apple Support site http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4627 but I could not find the "Manage Devices" link on iTunes. The advice they give is as follows:
You can view which devices or computers are currently associated, remove unused devices or computers, and see how long before they can be associated with a different Apple ID from the Account Information page in iTunes on your computer:
    Open iTunes.
Sign in to your Apple ID by choosing Store > Sign In from the iTunes menu.
Choose Store > View My Account from the iTunes menu.
From the Account Information screen, click Manage Devices.
Next to each device or computer name, you will be able to see when each was associated to your Apple ID. You will also be able to track how many days are remaining before your associated devices or computers can be associated to a different Apple ID.
Help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
