i recently puchased an mag subscription but it does not appear in my library. i sent email to mag people and they asked for recent purchase receipt, i went onto itunes as instructed but cant save page to email to them or even print out to scan and send to them. any help in this matter would be appreciated.

Actually, that is not 100% true, and that's what prompted me to ask the initial question. Try this....
-Open Safari
-Open two or three pages, say Slashdot, Gmail, and Google News
-All three pages are accessible via the Mult-view mode
-Now, exit Safari, go to Settings, turn off networking, and then re-launch Safari
The three pages are still there, all accessible through the multi-page selector
In essence, you have a simple, multi-page offline reader
-Now, go back online and load a couple more new pages or a large page (say, cnn.com) the content of some of the pages you already had open will be lost.
OK, I understand that this version Safari was not necessarily designed to be an offline reader, but the functionality seems to be there, it just falls a bit short in my opinion. That said, the good news is that if you limit yourself to opening only one or two pages, then you CAN access them offline when you are not near an access point.
BTW, I did send feedback requesting this as a feature....

Tried that. Dropdown window only offered these options: 'Lock Duplicate, Browse all versions. It did NOT give me the location of the document. I want to go to the document and attach it to an email. I have a similar problem although I'm running OSX 10.9.5. I'v just started to completely remove pages and attempt a reinstall. I did the search for the plist file. There was only one file with the com.apple.iwork.pages name but it did not have the .plist extension, even when I checked the info page. Is this the same file?
I'm not sure I want to update to Yosemite yet, but it looks like I may have to in order to continue to work with my pages documents, unless the reinstall works.

I was researching ways you might be able to save that email to a picture or export it and found this little gem in the iPhone Users Guide, found here: http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/iphone_user_guide.pdf about how to take a screenshot.
Its on page 12 toward the middle:
Take a screenshot: Press and release the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time. The screenshot is added to your Camera Roll album.

I can't copy/save pictures of items on ebay. I can only save the web page. I can copy/save with IE. Why?

On items listed on ebay, you can click on a picture to enlarge it. With IE I can save the picture to my computer. Firefox only allows me to save the web page. What can I do to save pictures - .jpg or .bmp?
The same problem happens if the seller includes pictures in the text description.

Suddenly, I can't save Safari web pages as PDFs. ???

I often download website documents to my Mac Pro by choosing the "Save as PDF" option in the Print dialog box. Suddenly, that option is "grayed-out" and unavailable. There's a Save as Postcript option which ultimately fails, and I can print the document on paper, which is not an acceptable alternative.
This problem appeared after I downloaded the latest System 10.4.9 update, but I can't say whether that's the cause.
I can still save Safari pages as PDF files on my G4 Power Book, also running 10.4.9, but not on the Mac Pro. Both computers have Adobe CS2's PDF capabilities in addition to Apple's Preview software.
Any ideas? (Previous posts on similar problems did not have an answer.)

Hard to tell what happened.
I would do a couple of things:
Clear the Safari cache.
Trash the preference file (com.apple.safari.plist) and restart.
If that does not help, you could (depending on how important the function is to you) run an archive and install:

Can't save as multi-page PDF in CS4

Hey everyone, I'm having major trouble with page tiling in CS4.
I have a CS2 file that has two pages in it with page tiling enabled, I saved this as a PDF with multiple pages just fine out of CS2. I now have it open in CS4 and am unable to do the same thing, my PDF always comes out as one long page. I can't work with multiple artboards because the file will be used in CS2 again and needs to remain backwards compatible.
In the Print Dialogue I have "Tile" set to "Full Pages", the print preview window on the left shows me two pages, just the way it should be.
Once I go into the Save as PDF Dialogue in CS4, I do not have the "Create Multi-Page PDF from page tiling" - option that is there in CS2 in the general tab.
I've been trying to find a solution for the past two hours but am at my wit's end. I'd greatly appreciate some help.

Just draw two artboards where the tiles would be then save it as a pdf. I should open in CS 2 without the artboards since CS 2 does not support artboards.
Nothing will be different in CS2.
Or simply make a copy for CS 4 with artboards and one for CS 2 but adding artboards to the CS 2 file when opned in CS 4 should be a problem.

How can I save one specific page from a .pdf file into it's own .pdf file?

I've got this 4 page pdf file, and I need to save just one page from it. I know that there's the option of using the select tool and doing a copy/paste to an image file, but I'm trying to keep it as a .pdf and I can't seem to figure it out. Any help would be much appreciated.

You could try to see if the "Free PDF to Word Doc Converter version 1.1" will work for you....
I know it will not get you a single page .PDF but if the program works you could get a .Doc of which you might have the possibility to save a single page after editing it !(?)

When i use Internet Explorer ,I can save the web page by using Page Title as the file name(as default no need to adjust anything). But when i use Firefox ,It can not use the Page Title to save as the file name. How can I do that like in Internet Explorer?

Can I save from the "pages" app to the "Dropbox" app, and will it save the footnotes if I save in word format in Dropbox?

I would like to know, is I can save files from pages (and other typing apps), to Dropbox, and still keep the footnotes if I save it in word format. I want to be able to open it on my PC, and have a normal word document with all the corrections from the iPad.

Why can I not get the pages to Print?

I have been trying to get my taxes to print, but the new Adobe program just keeps trying to save it over and over again. This is really frustrating! I have tried to send it to another program and it ends up all jumbled up. Nothing is worth this frustration! What has happened to just getting a page to print?

I would love to help--we don't want you to be frustrated with our software. Are you trying to print a PDF file? Are you printing from Adobe Reader? Or, are you trying to print directly from a browser?
Please tell me a bit more about the process you're using, and what and where you're trying to print. Please also include what version of Reader you have (if that is the Adobe program that you're using), and whether you're on Mac OS or Windows.

No. ID doesn't have a grayscale space. You can force a conversion to grayscale from the print dialog, but you can't get a color conversion to grayscale inside ID. Placed grayscales are color managed as if they are on the black plate of CMYK when Proof Colors is turned on and embedded grayscale profiles are ignored.
You could export a CMYK PDF and then preview the conversion to grayscale in Acrobat via the Simulation Profile in the Output Preview panel.

I have some problems with saving map as image and also printing it out. I am using mapview.getMapAsXML("GIF_URL") to get XML request but I don't really know how to send this request to OMServer and retrieve response as image!
About map printing. I am following Oracle example to print map ("http://starbucks.infotech.com.tr/mapviewer/fsmc/tutorial/samples/mapPrint.html"), but get such error: "Request string is too long for Oracle Maps' non-AJAX remoting.".
Could you please help with map saving and printing?

I've solved this problem using following way:
1. Get the map XML request:
h6. xml_request = mapview.getMapAsXML("GIF_URL");
2. Send this request to the OMServer using AJAX:

h6. nocache = Math.random();
h6. var params = 'xml_request=' + xml_request + '&nocache = ' + nocache;
h6. http_request.open ( 'post', 'http://solaris:7001/mapviewer/omserver', true );
h6. ...
3. Process the response:
h6. ...
h6. response = http_request.responseText;
h6. url = response.substring ( response.indexOf ( '<map_content url="' )+18 );
h6. url = url.substring ( 0, url.indexOf ( '"' ) );
h6. ...
So, you have url of you image in GIF format. Now you can print it out or save to disk...
Maybe it is not correct way but it works fine!
