HT204088 Feel like a jerk, but, I have Facebook on all my apples, except my computer. How do I do that? HELP Please?

I do not know how to get the icon for facebook onto the computer screen. I have downloaded facebook from the app store and it is on IPOD,IPAD, two IPHONES, but can't get it on computer without opening it each time.
What am I doing wrong?

You've downloaded a Facebook app from the Mac App Store on your Mac (you can't use apps from the iTunes app store on a computer, they can only be used on iPads, iPhones, iPod Touches), and is it in your Applications folder on your Mac ? If it is then you should be able to select it and click-and-drag it to your Mac's desktop. Is that what you mean ?

I have a lot of bookmarks, and I want to search them, similar to a file search on my computer; how can I do that? Please say it can be done.

I need to be able to search my Firefox bookmarks. For example, I know I have a bookmark with wot in the name of it, but for the very life of me I cannot find it amongst all the bookmarks I have. There must be around a thousand (not exaggerating). I have no idea at all where I have saved it, and I know it's there, but I cannot find it.
So how do I search my bookmarks similar to like I would search my computer for files?
If FF doesn't have this capability, could you PRETTY PLEASE consider adding this functionality?

Firefox does allow bookmark searching. From the 'Bookmarks' menu select 'Show all Bookmarks' (Ctrl + Shift + B). A new window will open showing the Bookmarks library. At the top right corner is a search box.
Also, by default, when you start typing an address into the location/address bar at the top, Firefox suggests links from history & bookmarks. So you should be able to find it just there too. I feel like a rookie but, can someone tell me how to create links to external URLs in Muse?

I want to attach the link to text which gives the name of the site. I am not an idiot, just unfamiliar with the program. I have looked through the learning videos but cannot find anything that specifically relates to my question. I appreciate any help I can get. Thank you, in advance, for any assistance.

I have an old G3 I would like to donate, but I have forgotten my password and cannot erase the two partitions on my disk.

I have an old G3 I would like to donate, but I have forgotten my admin password and cannot erase the two partitions on my disk. I have the CD for 10.3.9 that one partition is running but when I boot from the CD, it wants to set up by connecting to the internet and I cannot connect on the old machine.
I've tried several schemes by logging in with command s and carefully typing directions, but when I reboot it just gives me the old admin.
It keeps trying to connect to network which I do not want to do.
I guess no one really wants an old G3 but I used it for years and I hate to destroy it.

Drive Partition and Format
1. Boot from your OS X Installer Disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.
2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Note the SMART status of the drive in DU's status area. If it does not say "Verified" then the drive is failing or has failed and will need replacing. SMART info will not be reported on external drives. Otherwise, click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Apply button and wait until the process has completed.
4. Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
5. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Security button, check the button for Zero Data and click on OK to return to the Erase window.
6. Click on the Erase button. The format process can take up to several hours depending upon the drive size.
No password is required for this unless you set up a firmware password.

If they were deleted from your camera roll that should have resulted in a corresponding decrease in the estimated size of your next backup.
If it's still saying that you don't have enough storage to back up, read through this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4847. It provides some suggestions for reducing your iCloud storage, such as deleting unneeded email.
The other area to look at is your text messages. These are included in the backup. If you have lots of photos and videos attached to your messages, that can significantly increase the size of your backup. If that's the case, deleting these may make a big difference.

When the prompt pops up next time you start iPhoto select Learn more. Then click on iPhoto preferences and select the Accounts tab. Delete your MM account and the quit iPhoto. Next time you open iPhoto the problem should be eliminated.

If it scare y ou then take the machien back and ask the Apple Store to do this for you. What has probably filled your computer is large libraries such as music, photos and movies. Apple explains how to move those libraries to an external HD. Please read:

Should I have purchased unwanted music to the exact value to change country? Why cant I just agree to wipe the credit? it's less than one dollar. You cannot.
You cannot use another countrys itunes store.
You must be physically locates inside the borders of a country to use that countrys itunes store and a credit card issued in that country with a valid billing address in that country.
The owners of the distribution rights of movies/music/etc differ by country. These distributors decide who can sell their content in that country.
Buy from another source if your countrys itunes store does not carry somehting that you want.

That is the orientation lock symbol, you can not go to landscape orientation. Tap the home button twice, swipe the task bar to the right, tap on the 'circle' icon at the left to unlock the orientation. You will then be able to view items in portrait and landscape mode.

That file could be set as a Launch Agent or Daemon in your ~/Library or /Library, You could try to look for it or Safeboot your computer and then empty the trash.
