I have redemeed a gift card in app store in my mac, but i could not purchase new app in my ipad. Actually whenever i start to buy new app, i was asked apple id for several time withut any progress!!!!!
should i redeem new gift card in itunes or app store in ipad directly?
Should i forget my balance and i have to redeem new gift card in my ipad again?

Try resetting your iPad >    Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button down at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
Then try purchasing an app.
To see the balance, type this web address in the Safari menu bar:   http://store.apple.com/us/account/home
When the page opens, click: Check the balance of a gift card
Keep in mind, the total purchase price may include any applicable taxes or fees >   iTUNES STORE - TERMS AND CONDITIONS

When I try and buy songs, iTunes takes me through to the ''redeem'' page but when I try and enter the gift code, it just opens up a window that says this code has already been redeemed. What exactly do you see when trying to buy a song, what messages appear ? You can't change how items are billed, it's automatic, as long as you are buying for yourself then your account's balance should be used for the purchase, it's only if gifting (which can only be done via a credit card) or if your balance doesn't cover the entire purchase price that credit card details should be asked for - or if it's a new account and you didn't follow particular steps when creating the account. (A gift card can only be redeemed once, you can't re-enter its code.)

On the left hand side panel of itunes there should be a section called "purchased". It should be about in the middle of the pannel. Click on it and your item should be in there. Or you could check the music section of the pannel, and scroll through the list, if you see a song with a check mark next to it it might be the song you just purchased.
If you were refering to where did your music section in the left hand side pannel go, click on (top of screen) edit>preferences> and you should see a couple list like music,apps, movies etc. each with a check box next to them, click on music if it doesnt have a check mark on it, and the music section shuld pop up.
I couldnt tell which one it was, but i hope i helped, if i did not, could you take a screenshot and post it, if you do not mind? It would be easier for me to help you out if i did not do so already.

Try this: Go to your menu bar, select "Garageband" and then "Restore Sound Library..."
It can take awhile to download as it's a pretty big library. You might need to also select "Update Sound Library..." after the restore is done.

You cannot access files in the backup on your computer.
Do you mean that you synced with iTunes and transferred your purchased videos and app documents? If that is what you mean, what videos are you talking about? If they are videos that you took with the iPad, they do not sync to iTunes. What files?

I redeemed a gift card on to my daughters Itunes account however everything she downloaded came off my credit card. I have now marked this as NONE expecting this resolve the situation, however now when she tries to buy music or apps it won't let her. We can see her balance on the laptop but not on her IPOD Touch 5. Can anyone help?

Are you able to take the card back to the store that you bought it from and ask them to activate it properly ? I have a WSDL containing complexType and simpleType. I generate the webservice from wsdl using JAX-RPC.
When i deploy it in WebLogic 11g I get the error: Could not find binding for QNameProperty substringType :

After changing my wifi password I am having trouble finding my time machine on my network, any help please?

I have just changed my wifi password for added security but cannot find my time machine on my network. In the status bar it says that the time machine is not configured (although it has been) and every time I try to find it using airport utlity it remains hidden. Any help would be appreciated as I have a recent back up on there.

I opened the "backups.backupdb" folder as you suggested "jeffreyfromtas" and found 2 folders:
dvlynn's iMac and
dvlynn's iMac 2.
The 1st folder seems to contain all the backups from the 1st time it backed up in Sept. 2010 until the last time it backed up without error in January of this year.
The 2nd folder contains one file titled "2014-01-03-175020.inProgress"
I purchased this time machine backup drive in 2010 after the origional drive on my iMac crashed and was replaced. When that happened my system was updated to Snow Leopard where it is now. The only major changes I have made are that I moved a lot of large video files off my main drive onto external hard drives to make more room on the iMac.
Other than that everything has stayed the same.
I'm asking it what size the 2 folders are but it's taking forever to answer and I venture to guess it will be 99.99% in the 1st folder and 0.01% in the second folder.
Let me know if that makes any sense.
