I had purchased an app upgrade but when I reset my ipod, it did not transfer. I looked at my purchase history and it showed up. Is there any way I can redownload the app upgrade since I paid for it the first time.

You can re-download content purchased from the app store using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.

Unfortunately, there is no simple way to convert a Quicken/WIndows data file to Quicken/Mac. This is a major complaint of a lot of switchers.
I can't find the link (I'll keep looking) but I know that Intuit offers a conversion service. You send them your data file, and for an absurd amount of money they'll convert the file for you.
You're probably better off starting your Quicken/Mac file from scratch.
That's what I did. It took some time to do, but now I'm happy with it and I didn't have to pay anyone to convert the file.

The deal-breaker may not be the processor but the lack of USB 2.0 on the older PowerBooks. Newer iPods require USB 2.0 and a 667mHz PBG4 has USB 1.1.
You can use a Cardbus adaptor to provide USB 2.0, like this:

These are getting harder to find as newer computers ship with USB 2.0 capability.
FWIW, I recently bought Leo by calling the Apple Store and installed in on a Powermac G4 1.25Ghz with 1.75G of RAM and a 64MB VRAM video card. It is not very limber compared to Tiger on the same machine, Even if you use the installer hack, I'm afraid you will have an mostly unusable computer.

You can't. iCloud is not for general file backup from a Mac. It's for backup up and syncing data between mobile devices and and Macs and The following is from this Apple document: iCloud: Backup and restore overview.
iCloud automatically backs up the most important data on your (mobile) device using iOS 5 or later. Once you have enabled Backup on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch .....
What is backed up
You get unlimited free storage for:

If this is on the same computer just install PSE 12. It should find your old catalog and upgrade it to PSE 12. If for some reason it doesn't, then go to file>manage catalogs, find your old catalog and tell PSE 12 to convert it.
If this is a new computer, then yes, full backup and restore.

Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. Note that in iTunes 11 an "empty" library may show your past purchases with links to stream or download them.
In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
When you get it all working make a backup!
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your original library, or a backup of it, then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.
Would you mind telling me which anti-virus package you use? It may be that it is disturbing iTunes when it tries to write out the fresh database, as it does after almost any activity with your library. I'm noticing more of this type of problem than usual and trying to see if there is any pattern. It may help to prevent a repeat of the problem if you look at the advanced options for your AV package and see if you can find a way to exclude the iTunes folder from any real-time scanning process.

The iphone is not a backup device. The sync is one way -computer iphone.
The exception is itunes purchases.
You can transfer itunes purchases to your computer by opening itunes,connecting iphone clicking File>Transfer Purchases

SO, do I delete the app off of both the old 3g phone AND the imac, then reinstall on ONLY the imac, then re sync? OR, should I delete off computer, repurchase on computer then re-sync with new iphone4? I realize this is kind of roundabout, but the issue I ran into was too much stuff on my old 8GB 3G, and I was stuck on iOS3 FOREVER (couldn't upgrade to iOS4) soooo, I deleted a whole bunch of piddly apps from the phone ONLY, which then allowed me to update to iOS4 (on the 3G). Then, I could sync (which I did, but obviously not everything transferred, b/c when I synced the new 32 GB iphone 4, there are particular apps {doodle buddy and groove, my tap fish...} that are missing the in app purchases, but these are still on the old 8GB 3G). I have recently upgraded to MS Office 2011, Home & Student version from MS Office 2008, Home & Student version. I tried the trial version of 2011 which had Outlook as it's mail/address/calendar program. Using the 2008 version of MS Office, Entourage was the contact program of choice. I have since decided not to use the Outlook program because of too many bugs and am now using Thunderbird for my email service and Apple Address Book for my contact information. I therefore deleted the Outlook and Entourage address book. Yet, "Conflict Resolver" keeps poping up and is saying I have 1015 conflicts! Worse yet, I am unable to correct, even though I went through all 1015 conflicts, one by one. HELP! How do I get rid of this problem?

Yes in standard start-up as it is and in recovery mode I still get the same message about Disk Utility being unable to repair the disk so I should back-up and restore.
Some posters have said that booting into safe mode should unmount the installer and allow rebooting back into Lion, that would allow me to back-up the files properly, as my last back up was (as is often the way) not too recent.
But I think your suggestion looks more likely to be he correct way to do it, and I'll take the hit on any data that I may lose.
