How can I prevent my I Tunes Account from being renewed each year with my credit card?
There is no charge for the iTunes Store or an Apple ID unless you buy something or have subscribed to something, and there is no "renewal" of either an iTunes Store account or Apple ID required, so there's nothing you need to do.

Check to see if your calendars are available from iCloud.com by signing in with your Apple ID & password from a web browser on your computer.
If so, on your phone, go to: Settings > iCloud > turn off Calendars > delete from phone if prompted (to prevent the possibility of duplicates) > wait for it to finish then turn it back on. This will force a repush from iCloud.com. -

didn't realize that a keyboard lock button was added to the draw down window on the front of the phone and inadvertently hit it, turning off my keyboard rotation. before I got someone who knew about the keyboard lock button, I goat a moron who told me to reset the whole frickin phone so now am in the process of redoing 8 months of phone prefference settings. is the "globe" button for the long range and pages of icnographs an app? I switched my payment account from PayPal to a credit card for I tunes purchases but they keep declining me stating that I don't have a valid PayPal account I have contacted customer service three times and it is like we are talking two different languages
I have been having this issue too since yesterday. I downloaded two songs fine (my itunes account was associated to paypal) then I went to download an album and it said paypal is not supported on this device. So, I went out onto itunes via my computer and put my credit card (it is valid in my country, it is a visa, it is not a debit card) and it still isn't working. It still says on my iphone that paypal cannot be used on this device. I don't understand this since I switched it online from paypal to a credit card. Please do not post the "accepted form of payment" link again, I see that (have seen it as a response to many requests like this actually which isn't helping.) I actually want to purchase some things...you would think Apple would do its best to help me to do that!

It's a common way to run multiple OSs, if there's room. I've had two on my internal HD for a couple of years. Plus a small partition for a copy of my Snow Leopard Install disc. Just be sure to leave at least 10% to 15% free on each partition.
Running Lion on a partition of the disk that also contains your backups is not a good idea; if that drive fails, you risk losing both copies of your stuff!
OSX will also run somewhat more slowly, because access to an external is slower. That probably won't be very significant, though.
Also, would the decision be effected by how long I want to maintain the SL section? I am assuming once I sort out what to replace Quicken with, I won't want to keep the SL section. So would it be easy enough to 'clear out the SL data, and open the partition?

All things considered, your best bet may be to "clone" your SL partition to the second one, then (once you're sure everything is cool), erase the original (top) SL partition. You can use the Restore tab of Disk Utility for that (#7 in the same link), or a "cloning" app such as CarbonCopyCloner or SuperDuper. Then install Lion on the top partition.
When you're done with SL, just delete it's partition and expand the Lion partition down into the vacated space. -
I have always paid for apps with a credit card and now need to use an app store card but I can't get past the point where it keeps wanting my credit card updated. And can't used the app card number. Any advice???
I do NOT like using my credit card if I don't have to, and I went out of my way to go buy an Apple gift card, which I successfully redeemed into my Apple account. However, when I use the Apple "Cards" app, it will not let me use anything other than my credit card. I tried purchasing a card, hopefulling it would come out of my Apple store balance, but no such luck -- it came out of my credit card.
Apple is becoming more like Microsoft every day. -
How do I delete a credit card from my iTunes account without adding another one? My friend bought an app with her credit card and I no longer have the info but every time I try to download a free app (ex: Instagram, Twitter, vine etc.) it ask for the credit cards security code. I can not find a way to delete that cards info without adding another cards info.
