I believe my sons ipadmini was stolen. There was over 100.00 in itunes credit on it. Is there a way to track it from any purchases made?

No, it can only potentially be tracked if Find My iPad was enabled on it before it was stolen, in which case you could try locating it either via http://icloud.com on a computer or Find My iPhone / Find My iPad on another device - but that will only work if it's connected to a network and the device hasn't already been wiped and/or Find My iPad disabled on it.
If it was stolen then you should report it to the police. Your son should also change his iTunes account password, his email account passwords, and any passwords that he'd stored on websites/emails/notes etc.

No you cannot do this although third party cables and connectors are continually appearing all the time.
However, to do what you are trying to do, it might be worth considering also getting an Apple TV unit. This will allow you to play out form your MacBook and your ipad to the TV wirelessly. You will also be able to keep it plugged and and charge it at the same time.
Whilst the Apple TV will cost a little bit more you will at least not need to buy the VGA / lightening cable which is also not cheap.
Something definitely worth considering and it is what I do.

Refurbished iPad mini question

Is there a difference between the refurbished iPad minis sold on Walmart.com and the refurbs sold by Apple?

They are not the same item, Apple only sells their refurbished equipment and it carries a full one-year warranty. The items from Walmart are not refurbished by Apple and carry only 90 day warranty

I got a the ipad mini as a gift. No setup screen but just the password on when powering on. Solution?

Ask the person that you received it from. If a password screen is showing, then the device seems to have been previously acitivated.

Hi all! I have found the answer in another forum and this has 100% worked for me!!!
1) Quit App Store in multi-tasking.
•From the Home screen, click the Home button twice.
•Tap and hold on the app.
•When it starts to jiggle, tap the red ⛔ in the top corner to close it;
***Please close all open apps on your phone***
2) Tap Settings.
3) Tap Safari.
4) Tap Clear History.
5) Tap the Clear History button.
6) Tap Clear Cookies and Data.
7) Tap the Clear Cookies and Data button

iOS 7 requires an Apple ID and password, usually the original one that registered the iPad.

My 32 GB iPad 2 has a capacity of 28.3 GB.

You can't.
Messages - the replacement for iChat in Mountain Lion and beyond will do Screen Sharing but only to the accounts it did in iChat 5 and 6 (actually it includes iChat 4 as well)
That is to say in earlier version of iChat you could login to AIM and Jabber servers as well as enabling the Bonjour option to chat on your LAN.
All these will do Video and Audio only chats which in turn means they will Screen Share.
At iChat 6 an Yahoo option was added but it can only Text chat (it can't even send Files or Pics)
This means only the Internet able accounts that login in to AIM or to a Jabber server can Video and therefore Screen Share.
The iMessages account will Invoke FaceTime if you use the Video icon during text chat. (I.e. it is not Video inside the app like the AIM or Jabber accounts can do)
NOTE.
AIM includes Apple Issued Apple ID as Valid AIM Screen Names.
Google Mail ID s can be used and Google Talk IDs with Messages as they run a Jabber server.
Facebook allow you to create a Chat ID (Facebook Chat ID) which is also a Jabber server.

I rarely if ever turn my iPad off. I charge it when the battery is low or at night while I'm sleeping. Even then I close the Smart Cover and let it sleep but I do not turn it off. It doesn't matter when you charge the iPad.
The most efficient way to charge the iPad is to use the charger that came with it and plug that into a known good wall outlet.

Not in the Safari browser she can't. That is not supported on the iPad. There are other mobile browsers that do have that functionality - one is iCab Mobile.

And Apple won't tell you. All they will tell you is what countries are supported for LTE right now. You can express your interest to Apple via their feedback pages, if you wish:

but you will not receive a reply. It may be waiting on Telcel to approve. They may not feel that their LTE network is robust enough to handle that much load yet. But I'm just guessing. We'll just have to wait and see what develops.

IPad Mini 2 and iPhone 5s message syncing question

My friend and I were on vacation in Japan over the last two weeks. He took his Verizon iPhone 5s with him to Japan, but left his iPad Mini at home. While in Japan, his nephew sent him a text message. It was received on the iPad Mini which had service, but not on the iPhone which did not have service in Japan. The Verizon phones apparently aren't compatible with the cell systems in Japan. He never connected it to wifi either which was an option. My question is should the messages received on the iPad sync once he has returned home? My thought is that they would not, but I wondered if anyone had a definitive answer.

What are you trying to accomplish? Connecting a phone to a Mac is only supported for tethering.

Ipad Mini w/Retina Display - Question -

Recently purchased the new iPad Mini w/Retina Display for teaching/education purposes. I want to use it with a ViewSonic VGA Projector to make use of my purchased iTunes content. (please note not yelling here, just trying to highlight my question) WHAT CONNECTOR DO I USE TO VIEW ITUNES PURCHASED CONTENT VIA A VGA PROJECTOR??? - I know everyone is disgusted with many of the Apple connectors that they offer which does the trick for displaying YouTube or NetFlix content or KeyNote Presentation info, but I need to view my legally purchased iTunes HD content - The error message that I get is as follows - "The Connected Display is NOT authorized to play protected movies" - yet, I purchased these movies? so what is up with that? I want to know what connector I can buy that gets around this issue. Thank you.

GPS signals are separate from and completely unrelated to both the Internet and the cellular telephone network. GPS signals come directly from the GPS satellites. Most navigation software stores the maps right in the iPad/iPod/iPhone but a disadvantage is that the maps must be periodically updated (perhaps once/year). The Internet is not required to use the system but it is required to update the maps.
Some navigation software gets the maps from the Internet and requires an Internet connection to function but an advantage is that the maps are always up-to-date.
The WiFi+3G/4G iPad and the iPhone both have a GPS receiver. The WiFi-only iPad and the iPod do not and these devices require an accessory.
