yes, but I'm trying to use my iPad to type notes (using pages) and I have the smart case which I use as a stand. I need a cable long enough to fit through the back of my desk and the charging brick for the iPad won't fit behind the desk. looks like the gtk theme is not the problem. didnt really think it was, but the documentation was worth posting. the guys over at ubuntu look as though they have dealt with this in great detail, and have produced a few solutions, which may or may not work. i have decided to post these for anyone else who may have these problems.

judging by a google search on this problem and the number of responses that came up, the bonobo/daemon error is quite a common curse for the users of gnome, although much more common in distros such as ubuntu or fedora.
i hope that this proves useful and if anyone has anything to add, please feel free. the more documentation the better.
EDIT:
another solution would be to remove gnome and reinstall it from scratch. (some please tell me if i am doing this correctly. thanks )
1. clean your catch:
pacman -Scc
2. remove gnome, gnome extras, and whatever other gnome files you might have installed
pacman -Rscn gnome gnome-extra etc...
3. reinstall gnome and gnome extras
pacman -Sy gnome gnome-extra
4. reconfigure your desktop the way you want.

After reading your post, it sounds like you are experiencing an error while downloading apps. You may want to consider restarting the device first, and then resetting if that does not work. This article provides detailed instructions for Restarting, and Reseting:
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset
How to restart
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on the top of your device until the red slider appears. Then drag the slider to turn your device completely off.
After the device turns off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button again until you see the Apple logo.
How to reset
You should reset your device as a last resort and only if you can't restart it.
To reset, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

Here is how to do this:
Open Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility
Click Manual Setup
Click the Disks icon at the top of the AirPort Utility window
Click the Disks tab below the icons
Click Erase
The "Quick Erase" option will only take a moment or two
Now you can backup your MacBook Pro. If you connect an Ethernet cable from the MBP to one of the LAN <-> ports on the TC, the first backup will go 3-5 times faster than wireless.
Once you have the first backup done, you can use wireless for subsequent backups since they will only take a few minutes

So i went on itunes to purchase a cd, the cd was 9.99 US funds, i had 12 something CA funds in my account at the time. itunes then told me my credit card was declined and the order cannot be completed. Yet the money was still taken from my account, and now they are asking for a receipt which was never given to me because it was declined, WAS I JUST ROBBED ***?!

There have been reported problems with the App Store. We'll just have to wait it out.

I am getting consistently double billed for in app purchases I have done for the Candy Crush Saga and Panda Jam. Who do I contact to discuss this issue? Doesn't iTunes have any responsibility for apps they are offering for sale on their store??

Apple does not police the apps unless there are serious problems with them and many complaints.

You can see what's in iCloud collectively at settings > iCloud > storage & back up > manage.... You can only edit the data through the appropriate app (contacts, calendars etc)
For problems with 3rd party apps, contact the developer.

Trying to update to firefox 7.0 when press "run" it ask for administrator's password and will not let me go further. Please advise

Download Firefox 7.0 (currently running out of date version)
Click to open file
Click Run to start running file
Ask for Admin password
Will not go further into installing

Once I downloaded the update, I was unable to right click "run as administrator" from the exe file. How I was finally able to update to the newest version was to:
* click the start menu
* click search
* type in firefox
* scroll down to Firefox setup 7.0.1.exe
* right click and select 'run as administrator'
The rest was 'easy as pie'. Hope this helps those that had the same trouble I did.

You can put two 2gb RAM sticks in your model 2,1 but it can only use 3,3gb. This is a hardware limitation and cannot be changed.

I was trying to update my music last night. But itunes told me it needed to be updates first. So I updated itunes, and my phone. But now when I connect my phone using the usb. There are a number of factors in the 'speed' equation. Any or all of them can affect the 'observed' speed of your connection.
1. Are you in a neighborhood full of WiFi routers (and thus, lots of WiFi interference)? I can 'see' at least 22 other WiFi routers from my living room!
2. What is the maximum connect speed and band and bandwidth available from your wireless router. Is it 802.11n or the older 802.11a/b/g? 300Mbits or 150Mbits? 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz or both? Does your router measure (QoS) Quality of Service and can it change 'channels' automatically?
3. What is the observed strength of your wireless connection? Are you getting at least 80% signal when connected? Are there other people in your family also using significant bandwidth at the same time (Netflix, streaming video, streaming audio, game systems)
4. What is the "advertised" speed of your current ISP connection?
5. What is the measured throughput of your current setup. Go to speedtest.net or use the free speedtest.net app available in the App Store. Try several times, from different locations in your home, and at different times of day and night.
I have AT&T DSL advertised at 3Mbit/sec down and 512Kbit/sec up. My Speedtest.net measured throughput is about 2.4 Mbit/sec downstream and upstream is about 0.4Mbit/sec. I'm using a Motorola Netopia 2210-2 DSL modem. I have no problem viewing YouTube videos and other mobile video content on the iPad 2. I'm connected wirelessly to a D-Link DIR-655 Gigabit router rated at 150Mbps at 2.4Ghz (only) with 802.11 b/g/n enabled. The interior of my home is within a range of 30-50 feet from the router and no more than 1 wall. It is a single level concrete slab foundation of about 1500 sq. ft. with cathedral ceilings. I have successfully streamed ESPN3.com on my MacBook at the same time my son was streaming another ESPN3.com game on his MacBook Pro. I've streamed YouTube videos while my son was watching a NetFlix movie on his Wii game system. He's also successfully used Skype for extended 'teleconferences.' None of my devices are connected to HDMI on a large screen TV. 95% of the time, I can do iChat video without any signal breakup to my son (who is at a college with a Gigabit (1000Mbit) wired connection!). 5% of the time the connection drops. We haven't tried FaceTime (designed for mobile connections to be much less bandwidth-intensive, from what I understand) simply because we both have iChat on our computers.
So for me, a 3Mbit DSL connection is absolutely adequate, given all the other parameters mentioned. As the car manufacturers say, "Your mileage may vary."
