HT204093 I can't add an Exchange (outlook) mail to Apple Mail

Hi community, I've been able to add Gmail addresses via 'internet accounts' to be used with Apple Mail app, but my outlook addresses don't work. The setup process asks for the server address and nothing seems to work, I've tried: m.hotmail.com, s.outlook.com the smpt & imap server addresses, but nothing. Mail doesn't sync in the app. Please advice ! I'm using OSX 10.9.5 on my macbook & 10.10.2 on my imac.
I want to switch to Mail as Outlook 2011 is driving me crazy: the beach balloon keeps on appearing which freezes the application & i constantly have to re-enter my passwords for Outlook addresses. Gmail in general works fine.

Exchange (Outlook) mail is for businees use or you do have a Office 365 subscription.

You can also add your ISP mailaccount to Mac Mail.
Mail  >>  Preferences >>  Accounts tab.
Click the button to Add another email account  >>  Continue.
At the most ISP you can choose for IMAP setting (that is what I did).
Then you do have to configure manually.

You can't.  Apple's share button only supports Apple Mail (as specified by launching Apple Mail, choosing preferences and choosing general.).  Maybe Apple will open this up to other apps in future updates.

You won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions, you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple in your country to get the questions reset.

When they've been reset you can then use the steps half-way down this page to add a rescue email address for potential future use : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312

In otherwords I'd like to put my logo in the email not as an attachment but as an image.
Is there a simpel solution to this problem?

    You don't.
It's not possible. The e-mail protocol is designed for text; anything else has to go as an attachment.
Different mail clients (such as Mail.app, the mail client bundled with Mac OS X) may have different ways of handling such attachments, but they are still attachments. Each mail client has its own rules and methods, so one may display a picture as if it were in the body of the message, but another client may do something completely different.
A way of faking it is to format your message in HTML (which is a kind of text). The image is hosted on a remote server, not added to the message; instead, you include a link to it in the body of the message, as you would when building a web page. (This is also what the two tips helpfully provided by X423424X do, except that the link to the image is added in the signature, rather than the body of the message.) What exactly happens to it is, again, at the discretion of the mail client. In my case, for instance, displaying images in HTML messages is turned off, and will stay resolutely off.

  • I need to save an online file to my ipad and then email it as an attachment from my school email? It is my college gmail account and I can't add it to my mail app.

I need to save an online file to my ipad and then email it as an attachment from my school email? It is my college gmail account and I can't add it to my mail app. This was an assignment for class to make sure we could use the BB email system.

You can use your gmail account within the native Mail app using IMAP
Make sure you've enabled IMAP in your main Gmail settings
Open the Settings app on your device
    Tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars
    Tap Add Account...
    Tap Gmail
Enter your account information, being sure to use your full Gmail address, including '@gmail.com'
    Tap Next
    Tap Save

    hi,
how can i add image on my mail siganature on iphone.

I do not know if this will work but you can try. Place the image you want on a storage site like Imageshack or Photobucket. Then make a link to it in your signature using (img_src="put the url of your image here"). This may work at least when you have an active data connection - wifi or cellular

  • HT201342 Can I add my company e mail address to my icloud?

,?can I add my company e mail to iPad

You can't add a non-icloud email address to iCloud.  You can add an alias email address, but it will have an @icloud.com domain, see http://support.apple.com/kb/PH2622).  You can add your company email account to your device in Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Add Account, but it won't be an iCloud account.

  • Can't add multi exchange account on outlook 2010 with exchange 2013 Sp1

I did install exchange 2013 with DAG group successful, the exchange work fine now
Outlook can connect to exchange automatically and working fine
The problem appear when i need create the second exchange account by go to control panel/Mail add new profile and add new exchange profile
How can i solve the problem ?

This Problem in exchange generally appear when users mistakenly create the wrong account type or Outlook upgrades an older account profile. In these situations you need to remove that wrong account and  create a New account .
When you have the wrong type of account configured in Outlook you can easily remove the account and create the correct type of account.
1 Go to Control Panel, search for the Mail. If you are using 64-bit Windows and 32-bit Outlook, it will be named as “Mail (32-bit)”
2 Double click on Mail (or Mail (32-bit)).
    3 Click Email account button
    4. Select the wrong account and click Remove. (If you only have one account listed in your profile,But you may need to create a New account first, set it as default then remove the wrong account.)
    5. Click New, select Email Account for POP3 or IMAP accounts, or select other then the correct account type.
    6. Fill in your preferred display name, email address and password on the Add New Account dialog.
Outlook will look for published account configuration for the domain and setup the account automatically.
In this event if your email provider does not publish autodiscover information, you’ll need to set up the account yourself. Check your mail providers support site for the proper configuration and then check the box to Manually configure the account at the bottom
of the Add New Account dialog.

  • How can I add an Exchange connected mailbox to Mail

The add a new mailbox connected to the one I usually use in Exchange. On my office PC is not a problem: Settings - Advanced - Add an additional mailbox.
Can I do the same in Mail?
Mac OS 10.9 and iOS 7.04.
    Thanks in advance

I am replying to my own post as I found a solution!!
Mail > Preferences > Accounts then add in your email address and password and mail does the rest, finds the exchange server and sorts it out - much easier than setting it up in Outlook!

  • HT204053 How can I add my Windows Outlook onto the mac pro?  I need to import my contacts and calendar, but I cannot add.

I am having a real hard time trying to add my outlook exchange emails to my MAC Pro.  Can anyone help?

This has nothing to do with iCloud.
Are you trying to add your Exchange account to "Outlook for Mac" or to "Apple Mail"?
What version on OS X are you using?
What version of Exchange does your account use?

  • Can not add any accounts to Mail, Calendar, etc.

This is not an additional account issue.
I can not add even 1 account.
    This is Windows 8 Enterprise.
    I opened Mail App.
I logged in with MS account.
    I went to settings, Accounts.
I clicked on "Add an account"
The I get, "You've added all the accounts available for this app" , but I have not added any accounts at all.
    Any advice?
I am trying to add ActiveSync to Exchange in the Mail app, since full Outlook 2013 is almost unusable on a 10" tablet.

Did you use any proxy during the internal network? Please try to use other network to add the account in Windows Mail App.

  • Can I add a second e-mail address to my iCloud account?

I already have an iCloud account with one email account.  Can I add a new email account?

No.  Each iCloud account only has a single iCloud email account.  (You can add additional alias addresses within this account but they will all deliver email to the existing inbox.)
