HT204150 contact on icloud cannot be modify

My contacts sync with iMac and iPhone through cloud. Whenever I delete a contact, all devices are updated automatically. A few days later the contacts which have been modified or deleted returning appear in any devices and also in icloud.
I would appreciate if you could help.

Documents in the Cloud seems unfinished. There should be a way to directly access these files from within an Apple-created iOS app. TextEdit and Preview need iOS equivalents.
Right now I'm using Dropbox and Elements (an excellent 3rd party text editor) for text files. I'm using Dropbox and iBooks for PDFs as a workaround. These solutions work but they feel like a hack. I look forward to Apple providing an update that brings full, native support to accessing iCloud stored TextEdit text (and RTF?) documents as well as Preview PDF documents on iOS.

Duplicate Contacts app that cannot be modified?

A while ago I created a few stacks to clean the Dock up a little, and in one (which corresponded to a folder I created in the Applications folder) I stupidly put/moved a native app, the Contacts one (which cannot be deleted or modified in theory), so it actually did not move it from the Applications folder, it stayed there, but it created a duplicate to go into my folder. Now, I don't use that folder/stack anymore, and have emptied it, but the Contacts app cannot be moved or trashed from there, despite being just a duplicate not the original one. It should recognise that the system one is the one in the Applications, so why doesn't it? I'm now stuck with a second Contacts app I can't touch, inside a folder I can't touch either! Is there a way to delete it? The system tells me it is needed and cannot be modified. Actually, how come it created a copy of it in the first place, if it cannot be modified? Thank you!

Normally you create stacks while in LaunchPad.
However, I would not use Stacks to clean up my Dock. Simply drag the items out of the Dock that you do not frequently use. You can use Spotlight to quickly launch an app, or you can drag the Applications folder to the side of the Dock near the Trash and select your app from the popup. I suggest you put in List view. This will show your apps alphabetically. I have too many apps to use the other views.

I can't synch my contacts to my ipod classic, I get the message no contacts are available on this computer. Contacts in iCloud cannot be synched to this ipod.

Help needed to a no doubt simple problem

I have the exact same problem with my iPod nano 2nd generation.
I'm on os 10.8.3 and I have my contacts with in Adress book, both "on my mac" and on "iCloud".
"iCloud can not sync to this iPod" is understood, but why is iTunes saying that there no contacts on my mac when there sure is?
Any help is greatly apreciated.

I originally installed the Icloud manager to sync my contacts to Cloud/Outlook, but I did not like the functionality, when I uninstalled the Cloud manager and and installed Itunes I noticed that the none of my contacts in the phone updated to Outlook.

I think we need more information.
You synced your contacts to iCloud - were there any contacts already in iCloud when you did this? Or was the iCloud account new? Had it been used previously by other devices?
Is the other phone (that provided additional contacts) syncing to the same iCloud account? Is this YOUR other iphone, or does it belong to someone else.
(Different users should use their own icloud accounts - that's how it's designed to work. You wouldn't want different users sharing the same emails, contacts, events, data from individual apps, etc. - at least most users wouldn't want all data shared with others.)

Thank you for your suggestion. I backup on itunes. I went to itunes, deleted syncing my contacts, then re-synced them. But the Facetime capability option continues to be there on most (not all, for some curious reason) of my contacts. I am not sure I posed my question correctly. I want to be able to FT with my family, so don't want to delete the FT capability totally from my iphone and ipad. But I don't want all these other iphone calls from various contacts to ring on my ipad as FT calls. I want a way to select with whom I have FT capabilities. Any further suggestions? There's a menu choice (I think under "Files") that lets you sync purchased items on a device back to itunes. Look for that.
iCloud does not store music. If you want to do that you'd have to subscribe to itunes Match, but to get music to the match servers, you need the music in the itunes library on your computer.

The backup of your iPod Touch would include your camera roll photos. Restoring the backup to another iPod Touch or iPhone would recover them. Photos will not be restored by restoring the backup to an iPad.
Note: Apple deletes iCloud backups after 180 days of inactivity so be sure to do this before then.

The text messge cache is separate from your contacts. The only way to clear it is to restore your phone as new without using your backup. This is not related to iCloud.

Download the free app My Contacts Backup. Go to Settings>iCloud, turn Contacts to Off, when prompted choose Delete from My iPhone. Check the contacts on your phone. If you have any left on your phone, launch My Contacts Backup, tap the gear shaped icon on the bottom right, scroll to the bottom and tap Remove All Contacts. When finished, go back to Settings>iCloud and turn Contacts back to On to sync the unduplicated contacts back to your phone from iCloud.
Also, be sure you aren't trying to sync your contacts with both iCloud and iTunes or you will get duplicates.

perfect. ok do the following:
settings > mail, contacts, calendars > go into the exchange account. You should have an email in the account field...[email protected] or [email protected], etc.... I am assuming you don't remember the password to this exchange account so once you know the email, you can go to email providers site and click on forgot password and you will go through the steps to get a new password. Once you do this, you will need to go back into your "exchange account " and the field that has the exchange email > touch the > to open settings. Change the password to your new password you got from above. Once you do this, you can add the exchange account to your ipad and all of your contacts will sync to both devices.
Please confirm.
