HT204150 Having trouble updating iCloud contacts on OSX 10.8?
I found a solution to updating contacts in my MAC, tried everything in the troubleshoot page and did not work. This is how I solved it, I turned off contacts from icloud in iphone and iPad. Both products will ask you if you want to keep the contacts or erase them, click on Keep Contacts.
Later I turn contacts back on and clicked on merge, did the same on the osx 10.8 and problem solved
It appears if you downloaded the photoshop cs3 10.01 update from the page per your link, that you downloaded the windows version.
This is the mac version of the 10.01 update for photoshop cs3:

It's been quite awhile since i installed photoshop cs3, but it may be that the update server for the photoshop cs3 is no longer functioning.
The same thing seemed to have happened for photoshop cs2 a couple of years before the activation server was finally taken offline.

Having trouble updating itunes v10.5 onto XP pro. " There is aproblem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor. any advise?
1. Open the control panel
2. Open Add/Remove programs (called "Programs and Features" in Windows 7)
3. Navigate to "Apple Software Update" in the list and click on it
4. Click on "Change" then select "Repair" (or just select the repair option in Windows 7)
Once you repair this, try running iTunes and the update again.

JUst another question now if you have the time. I have selected to view my iCloud contact list on my iPhone, but i have some unique contacts on my iPhone list that i want to merge to my iCloud list. Any tips there?

I am having trouble, my icloud is using an old Apple ID, and i can no longer access that email account, or know the password to that, how do i switch it to my new Apple ID?
Having the email address is not necessary. It is just the username for the device. All you need is that Apple ID and password. Now, if you forgotten the password, then you have more work to do. Since that email is no longer active, you would need to send the reset to your rescue email, if you remember that. Or you will need to contact Apple Security for help. I recommend that you attempt to boot into Safe Mode:

It may take you multiple attempts to get the ESC key sequence (press/release/hold) correct, so be patient. When successfully into Safe Mode, see what happens.
If the behavior ceases, then think carefully...what happened just before this behavior started? A new app? An update? A Theme? Something else? Think carefully as the smallest change could be causal...and attempt to undo whatever that was.
But if the behavior continues in Safe Mode, then you may need to consider more drastic actions -- WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload, and the "Bare Bones" OS Reload Process. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup to your PC...please review the Backup link in my auto-sig on this post for instructions.

This section in particluar:
I get an "Unsupported Apple ID" error when I try to sign in to iCloud from my iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.
Depending on how you created your Apple ID, you may not be able to create an iCloud account with your current Apple ID. If your Apple ID works in the iTunes Store, App Store, Game Center, FaceTime, or with other Apple Services, your Apple ID should work for iCloud. Also, if you created your Apple ID while you applied for a job at jobs.apple.com, your Apple ID should work for iCloud. If you cannot use your Apple ID with any Apple Services, it might not be compatible with iCloud. Contact iCloud Support for assistance.

having trouble syncing/downloading contacts & calendar & tasks from outlook 2010 to iphone4s help please.
I had the identical problem. I still don't know how to sync the tasks, but here's how I did the contacts and calendar:
1. Connect the 4s to the computer.
2. Open iTunes.
3. Click the iPhone box in the upper right corner.
4. Click on the info tab.
5. Hit the checkbox Sync Contacts with... and choose Outlook from the dropdown box.
6. Ditto for Calendars.
7. Hit Apply.
My problem was that originally, I wasn't getting the checkboxes. I turned off the iCloud settings on the 4s. That did the trick. -
I'm having trouble updating my iphone 4 since i updated to 4.3.3 i can't update it anymore. initially itunes would let me go so far as downloadin the new software then an error poped up as soon as the download finished, and now when i connect it to my itunes, itunes freezes for about 5 minutes then says something like "could not load sync service, reconnect or try again later" any ideas on what i shud do?
