Hi, I made a mistake by allowing facebook to download all my contacts in my address book. Now i need to clean my address book and keep only my original contacts. If i do it on my macbook, will it reflect on my iphone? Or will my iphone redownload all the contacts i deleted when i connect it to my macbook or through the cloud?
when working with icloud, is there a primary device (macbok, ipad...) on which if the changes are made, they reflect on all other devices?

I see. If you are syncing contacts with iCloud on both your Mac and your iPhone, deleting a contact from either device will delete them from icloud.com and all other devices.
What's really going on with iCloud is that your contacts actually reside on the iCloud server. Your Mac and iPhone are merely reading the current contact list as it exists on the server. When you delete a contact (or make any other change) on either device, you are making these changes on the server. As a result, all other devices "syncing" contacts with the same iCloud account will read this change. When you log onto icloud.com, you are viewing the server from your browser.

All my music on my itunes has now got a ! symbol next to it and no music will transfer to my iphone. Why is this?

I started off with an iPod a couple of years ago to which i set up an iTunes account on my home computer. I thought that i could open itunes on any computer, so i opened itunes on my work computer too, and started playing music at work too. Opening itunes from computer at work to home gave me a few issues, but i always seemed to finally be able to play tunes so never really worried about it.
I got an iphone in June this year and have since left my work, so i don't have the work computer. I decided to start afresh with my itunes account and decided to set up a new account. Unfortunately itunes recognised my name/address and although i set up a new account with a different login, it claimed that i already had an account set up. So i deleted my new account and continue to use my old account.
My music is visible on iTunes, but it will not sync to my iphone as it claims that it 'cannot find the original file' Next to ALL my music has the ! symbol.
To make matters worse, my iphone went slightly wrong, so i went back to the Apple store and they happily replaced the handset for me. Would this effect my itunes considering the 'serial number' has now changed?
Basically i am wondering if i should just start again with itunes? Or can i simply delete all my music on itunes and add new stuff? Also, what will happen when i now plug in my ipod? Surely i can use and ipod and iphone from my itunes account with no problem?
God i didn't realise how bad i am with technology until now!

*** Apple! This is a joke! What kind of programmers create a new OS that does **** like this? No wonder people get annoyed with the brand. No solution seems to work on the ipod touch. I made a mistake & loaded the version of Firefox (4) that my computer cannot support. Now I am unable to use it. How can I replace it with the latest one I had previously (3.6.20)?

It's my own fault. I was warned that my old iMac (running only on Tiger) was not capable of receiving Firefox 4. But I did an experiment and tried loading it anyway.
Now, a disabled version of Firefox, that I cannot open, is the only version of Firefox on my computer. I'm sure it made everything I was using on Firefox disappear!
Is there some way to replace this disabled version with the latest one I CAN support?

2. Find your language and Open Firefox 3.6.20 folder
3. Download and install Firefox setup file (3.6.20 dmg)
You’ll be automatically downgraded to Firefox 3.6.20 and your favorite add-ons, bookmarks and settings will remain untouched.

Sorry, no and don't even try using the Bluetooth Dongle approach as Apple does not support this either. You need new hardware for Handoff to work unless it is around 12 to 18 months old at the latest.

I am not very sure of that however as per my knowledge , you can use Adobe send service and provide public link to your users and then after 48 hrs you can delete the file from server and make File-link inaccessible.

My laptop fell and broke, so I installed itunes on my desktop and hooked up my iPad and synced it, then I hooked up my iPod Touch and synced it, BUT it will not let me sync music. It tells me by syncing I erase the 1000 songs and replaces it with the songs on my itunes which is 180, which are songs that were on my iPAD. Please help. I do not want to loose those 1000 songs and I would love for both devices to have the same music on it. PLEASE HELP.

Of course not. You should NEVER put your backup on the computer itself. That defeats the entire point of a backup. The entire reason you maintain a backup is so that when your computer fails, you have all of your info in a safe place - external drive, disks, cloud service, flash drive, etc

I don't have many files, or many large applications on my MacBook Pro. 13'' with a 320 gb hard drive. However, Activity Monitor says I'm using almost half of it. What can I do to clean out the hard drive and keep only the files that I actually use?

I bought creative suite production cs6from Adobe and I have downloaded all the programs. However CS6 premier Pro does not open. A message says to upgrade mt video driver. This I have done but it still will not open. Please help Brian Dowdall

I have the CS6 production suite. All the programs work except Premier Pro. It starts but tells me I need to upgrade my video software, which I have done.

Yes, Mozilla still supports Firefox 3.6 - probably until April 2012 at least, although no definite date has been decided yet.

Why is that my PC supports all of the requirements for HD video but iTunes won't allow me to Download HD Movie. I am able to handle some of the most intense PC Games and I have HD movies Downloaded from previous versions of iTunes that work just fine. At the top of any Buddy List it will show Your Name or your Handle (Screen Name)
This can be changed if you click on what is shown currently and it will become a drop down.

The "Name" is taken from the Mac User Account that is logged in and the My Card in that Address Book.
So if this is your New Macbook Pro then Open the Address Book (Presumably there is only one Mac User account on this computer at the moment) and find the My Card (Head and Shoulders iCon)
Make sure the details are yours.
If the details are your brother's (Migrated info ?) then find your card and then go to the Card Menu and the option "Make this My Card".
When Adding and @mac.com name to iChat 6.x the server for the AIM login should read api.oscar.aol.com
The port likes to be port 443 with SSL ON (See Sever Settings tab in iChat > Preferences > Accounts)
Try it without SSL
NOTE: Despite the Add screen saying @Mac.com the account can get listed in the Accounts List as a MobileMe account.
I would check that the original computer or the current one is not set to allow only one Login.

How can i stop my iphone from allowing computers to download photos when connected?

eg. if someone steals my phone and plug into there computer the windows photo download box pops up when connected and allows photos to be downloaded even with passcode. It doesnt make sence to me that if you try and get on my phone you cant look at anything, but connect it to a computer and it allows you to download all pictures and videos.

What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?
Basic Troubleshooting Steps when all else fails
- Quit the App by opening multi-tasking bar, and swiping the App upward to make it disappear. (For iOS 6, holding down the icon for the App for about 3-5 seconds, and then tap the red circle with the white minus sign.)
- Relaunch the App and try again.
- Restart the device. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
- Reset the device. (Same article as above.)
- Reset All Settings (Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings)
- Restore from backup. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1766 (If you don't have a backup, make one now, then skip to the next step.)
- Restore as new device. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4137 For this step, do not re-download ANYTHING, and do not sign into your Apple ID.
- Test the issue after each step. If the last one does not resolve the issue, it is likely a hardware problem.
