HT204161 Merge & Delete unused Apple IDs & Clear the 1 YR PW memory to use old PWs

I keep getting a note for me to sign into a old Apple ID at "me.com" . I NEVER used this account as far as I know and was probably one that was used a long time ago to initially set up one of my computers. I would like to see if there is anything important there but have NO idea what the password is since I have not actually signed onto it in years. I think maybe the cloud may think its a primary default account? I have really notice the issue since I have up dated my computer. I would like to DELETE it after I see if there is anything I dont want to loose. Better yet, Id rather merge it into the account I use now. Is there some way the Apple techs can see HOW MANY iCloud account I have hanging out there and if so can we merege and delete the ones I am not using? Anther thing:
IWhen I cannot always remember my password it always has me change it. I get blocked sometimes and just get frustrated and give up. It also tells me everytime I trty to put a new PW in of which I WILL be able to remember - that it has been used within the last 12 months. Can I have Apple reset that memory so I acan put PSs that I can actually remember? - Then there is the whole "Mail issue"- I have about 5 accounts for different purposes..but again sometime I have to change the PW...does the same crap- I thing the are ALL KINDS of settings when yoiu change a PW so that the mail can coordinate wityh AOL, the Cloud, Gmail,and all my devices (iPhone. 2 Airbooks, my primary Desktop, my TVs, etc...etc.. Its all fristrating as ****! Can you help me?
I want to use 2 passwords ONLY for all these accounts...but like to clear that 1 yr memory thing that says PWs cannot be used..I wnd upo with so many different PWs I forget them all. Theere has to be a better way?

Im not sure wether I got you right or not. But my advice/s would be as follows:
These steps help you get rid of old apps you downloaded years ago and you do not use anymore.(Also frees space on your mac after emptying the trash)
1) go to iTunes and delete all applications in it. Make sure to move them to trash! Do not empty your trash yet. Its your backup if step 3 doesnt appear.
2) connect both your devices(one after each other) and make a backup. !!!Dont press the Sync button, press the Back Up Now Button
3) Then it asks you if you want to backup applications as well. Confirm. (This is how apps get transferred manually)
4) Then Sync your devices... The first time it might be, that there are some additional apps loaded to your devices you dont want to.. delete them on your Device (not iTunes) and after that you should be good every time you sync again.
5) now you can empty your trash on your mac.
Further,
- You should regularly connect your devices with iTunes to make sure they are backed up. (Even if you have activated iCloud backup, the iTunes backup is more proper i.e.. Apps)
- If you hate scrolling through a list of apps in iTunes, you can re/install apps directly on iOS not via iTunes. I absolutely never go to the "Applications" section in iTunes. I install and delete apps directly on iOS.

Apple IDs cannot be merged. You should use your preferred Apple ID from now on, but you can still access your purchased items such as music, movies, or software using your other Apple IDs.

You can't use family sharing or multiple Apple IDs with iTunes match.
ITunes match is only attached to Apple id that you used to subscribe.

It is possible but no more than 3 different Apple IDs for the same credit card. If you need more than three (more members of the family or a small business with 4 or more people who need individual Apple IDs) you can use one or more iTunes gift cards instead of a regular credit or debit card.

My wife has a laptop and an iphone 4s, I have a laptop and and iphone 4s, our two sons have our old iphone 3s, we have an old laptop for our sons to use. Our old iphones for our sons are deactivated as phones - so they are used as i-touches for songs, pictures and aps. I want to use icloud (which I'm new to) to hopefully have all four iphones and all three computers stay synced with at least music - if not aps and pictures. My wife has an apple ID and I have one. I'd like to authorize all three laptops for both apple IDs so that we will still have our own accounts, but everything either of us buys will be automatically loaded into all three laptops and all four iphones. Can this be done?

Each person in your home can have their own Apple ID provided it is tied the their own separate email address.
iTunes permits up to five authorized computers connected to a single Apple ID: iTunes Store- About authorization and deauthorization.
For this all to work well, however, each user in your household should have a separate user account on the computer they commonly use.

ITunes Match - Two Apple IDs but the Same Person

So before the days of iCloud, I originally used my AOL email as my Apple ID. Then when I signed up for iCloud, I started using my .Mac email as my new Apple ID. Today, I just signed up for iTunes Match using my .Mac Apple ID. Somehow throughout this process my iPhone stayed under my AOL Apple ID. Now my phone is telling me I have to wait 90 days before the "new" Apple ID takes affect and I will then be able to use Match. I have just spent $25 for something I can't even use for 90 days?!?! Really?
As you can imagine, I'm very frustrated because I know this is a simple mistake. I'm worried I just spent $25 for a full year and the first 3 months of that year will go to waste. Can anyone help me? A number I can call? Anything? I'm the same person, paying for music and apps with the same bank account! My Apple IDs just got mixed up.

Thanks for the link, but no luck.
They told me that there is absolutely no way to waive the 90 day waiting period regardless if am the same person or not. The only reason I have a new Apple ID was because I assumed I had to make a new Apple ID when I signed up for iCloud. At the end of day, it was my fault but I wish I knew I never had to make a new Apple ID. I would have just stayed with my “old” AOL Apple ID.
With that said, I still think it is ridiculous they can’t waive the 90 day waiting period. I’m the same person! I just have two Apple IDs, and the only reason I have two Apple IDs to begin with was because I felt mislead by Apple’s iCloud. It’s not like I’m trying to share my music illegally with my friends or another person. Its all the same money coming from the same person...me!

That's not going to work. You can only sign into an Apple ID on an iOS device once every 90 days. An iPad is a single user device. Yes, you can comingle the content from different Apple IDs on the same iPad, but it is best to download and comingle the content in the iTunes library of a single account on a Mac or PC and then to sync the comingled content to the iPad.

There seems to be a limit on how many apple ids can be created from the same cpu. Trying to create 100 apple ids for a client to use on ipads distributed to employees i found i could only create three or four before i got the message account cannot be created, contact itunes support. Had the same problem creating multiple itunes accounts through the App Store.
