HT204266 Aside from the price stated, is there any charges billed on my account?

I recently bought an app using my new card. It seems that they charged me more than I expected. The app costs $2. My card is a visa and it holds the Philippine currency (peso) not a dollar account. Is there any additional charges aside from the $2?

As with many other merchants, the iTunes Store and Mac App Store places an authorization hold on your payment card account for the approximate amount of any purchase you make. Similarly, if  you update your billing information, the iTunes Store or Mac App Store will place an authorization hold on your payment card account, usually in the amount of 1 USD, to verify your account information.
You might see such authorization requests  on your online statement. These requests are not actual charges;  they are  tests to confirm that your payment card account is active and has available funds to accommodate transactions. Authorization holds are removed by your financial institution shortly after your purchase clears. The amount of time it takes to remove authorization requests varies by financial institution.
To review the actual charges on your account, you may review your iTunes Purchase History. You will be prompted to enter your iTunes account name and password. Note that Mac App Store web order details can only be seen in the iTunes purchase history. Your Purchase History will display your most recent purchases first. To view details of any purchase, click the arrow to the left of the order date.
If you have  questions about the way your financial institution handles authorization requests, contact their customer service department.
In other words: the price that is mentioned should be the only thing charged.
You can check out your complete purchase history if you go to iTunes on a computer, log in with your Apple ID, go to 'account'  and then 'purchase history'.
If you feel like you've been charged too much or have other questions/issues with your billing, you can contact the iTunes store support for that. In that case:
1. Go to expresslane.apple.com
2. select 'itunes' and then 'itunes store' on the right
3. select a topic and a subject
4. click 'continue' and then 'email'
5. fill out the form and explain your situation
6. they will respond within 24 hours usually

    You say you uploaded the pictures to the iPad?  Then they should still be there, and you can copy them to your computer through iTunes.
    There are utility programs for a computer that can recover deleted files from hard drives, and they may work for camera memory cards as well.  I've used DiskWarrior for Macintosh to recover pictures from an SD card before.

    I think those contacts still in iphone database. So you can back up you iphone with itunes to get iphone database off your iphone. Then access the SQLite batabse.

    You're right, it would have been covered under warranty. But because of the user damage, chances are there's a 200-something dollar fee . If you explain to them that it had a defect previously, they might replace it for you at no charge. **MIGHT**. But they would have to believe that it had a defect previously.

    Only if the Comcast "deal" with Norton is directing you to the download or updating you to the newest Norton version. The Norton toolbar that gets installed into Firefox was made compatible with Firefox 6 on the day that Firefox 6 was released.

    Your friend can get a new Apple Id for themselves, and create a different account on one of the laptops. Then put all their music in a separate iTunes library, and sync the phone to that particular library.
    This will keep there music separate from your library and their brother's library.
    Just make another User on your computer for your friend to store their music in.

    All the websites doesn't allow you to turn off the sounds, but that is just the thing I need to do. So how can I turn off the web browsers sounds? This is so small thing, that I refuse to believe that this kind of button doesn't exits.

    In Vista you can set the volume and mute setting for each application separately in the volume mixer.
    You can click the Volume icon on the Windows Taskbar near the clock and click the Mixer link at the bottom to open the mixer.<br />
    You can adjust the volume level for each application in that window.<br />
    You will only see the Firefox program in the Mixer if you are on a website that plays sound.

    I'm currently dealing with this issue myself, except that my rMBP has NO articles in the reading list.  It's a brand new rMBP too, purchased just this week, with the 2.6 Ghz Processor & 16GB of RAM.

  • With OSX10.7.5 and Adobe Reader 11.0.02 when I try to open a PDF downloaded from the web I get 'There was an error opening this document. This file is damaged and could not be repaired. Preview will not open either. Older PDFs OK.

    I am running OS X 10.7.5 and Adobe Reader 11.0.02. In the last few days I have been unable to open PDF's downloaded from the web. Reader gives the error message 'There was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not be repaired'. Removing Reader and trying to use Preview to open these files give the error 'Preview cannot open this file. It may be damaged or use a file format that Preview doesn't recognise' (or something like that). Downloading the same files with Reader removed from my Mac Preview opens the files OK.
    I was recently prompted to update Adobe software but did not note exactly what the update was nor when it was done.
    Reader and Preview will both open PDFs I downloaded a week ago. Reader will also open files downloaded on another Mac running OS X 10.0.0 and copied to my Mac. Any ideas?

    The "Silverlight" web plugin distributed by Microsoft can also interfere with PDF display in Safari, so you may need to remove it as well, if it's present.
    If you still have the issue, repeat with this line:

    If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari again.
