    I have restored and updated my ipod from recovery mode, however I still have the usb cord and itunes icon on the ipod when it is switched on. How can I get my ipod to work again? I have updated and restored 5 times! When connected to itunes it only shows the summary page saying ipod in recovery mode.

    Fixed it!
    1. Made sure itunes software was up to date
    2. Pressed and held 'home' button and 'on-off' button at the same time for about 10 seconds till ipod reset (I hadn't done this step previously)
    3. Connected to itunes
    4. Pressed restore and update ipod
    Update successful and ipod taken out of recovery mode

    As AT&T has not officially unlocked your phone it must have been hacked to use another carrier.  So when you updated it has relocked itself to AT&T. There is no official unlock so this will happen anytime you update.

  • I just checked my emails to look at iTunes emails then i noticed some purchases i did not authorize. i found 8 emails saying i purchased currency for an app i play and i added up the receipts to a total of over $240. how can i get my money back?

    They show on your account's purchase history e.g. they aren't phishing emails ? If you log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option, you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it. Click on that and you should then see a list of your purchases.
    Have you also removed your credit card from your account (does anybody else have access to your card and might have added it ?) : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1918 ?
    If they show there and nobody else has access to your account or devices and made them, then try contacting iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

    What version of OS X are you running? Go to the Apple menu>About this Mac and it will give the version number.
    iCloud is available on Lion 10.7.2 or higher.

    How can I get a refund from an app that I bought? I bought an app called Package for MS Office on the 8th of January and I also reported a problem and they have not got back to me with a response. It has been 3 weeks now and I am still waiting for a reply back. Very disappointed.

    I have now got an openoffice which I got from the internet. But the main thing is I paid £20.99 for this app and It is irriatting that the people who work for apple havent got back to me when I first reported a problem.     You posted in the Mac computer OS X Tiger 10.4 forum. You don't provide enough info. Was this an iPad app, iPhone app, an iPod app purchased from the iTunes store? Or an app purchased from another source?
    The remedy - don't give your kids the password and answer to security questions.

    The app took over $35 from my account and there is no way this was authorized.  Please advise on how I can recover these funds.

    They did the same thing to me on 12/24/11. Apple overcharged me 3 times my purchase amount and have caused my bank account to be overdrawn!
    I called my bank to make a statement of unauthorized charges AND filed a complaint with the FTC (Federal Trade Commission). Apple provided no way to contact a live rep and the email reps have been useless...so they left me no other option.
    I think they do this to their customers very often. It is extremely dishonest.
    I actually posted the above info on this discussion community earlier today...and Apple deleted it! If that isn't an admission of guilt, I don't know what is.
    But seriously...best of luck.

    You can contact iTunes and ASK for a refund. Then make make an exception to their all sale are final policy.

    In the future set the restrictions so that in-app purchases are prohibited and that a password is always required.
