I may sound a bit silly but i downloaded the Megapolis app. It said I could get landmarks for a certain amount of money and I think it meant in real life not in the game. I'd have expected a password to be requested but it just successfully purchased and I need to check and get a refund if I did pay. There's no way I can afford this and I would have closed the app if I had been prompted for a password to spend money...

If it's not available in your country and you do not have a copy of it in iTunes backed up on your computer, you don't.

The new plans are based on total storage so the 5GB is no longer an addition. Presumably the price reflects the fact that you get 5GB free.

Actually, I don't know for certain if it's a full fifteen minutes. It might be only five but still enough to cause the problem that you had, especially because the timer refreshes when something is purchased! When you contact the app store, keep that in mind.

We updated our Apple ID's with our new email and home address etc... with no issues. But.....icloud won't update and I can't figure out how to edit it. It shows the old Apple ID info.

We also changed email address, deleted account and added new one in. I thought everything was working, calenders, photo stream, contracts. Then when I went to email a photo from the photo library that had been streamed in through old email address, It showed Icloud still sending from old address with no way to change it. I'm afraid if I delete the account and try to add it in again, I Cloud wont let me; or I will have to chnge everything again (nightmare) This is on an IMac.

I think you may be talking about the zoom assist feature. It allows you to drag that "clear square" you were talking about over a certain part of your screen and then zoom in on it. It appears when you quickly double tap your screen with 3 fingers at the same time. It should disappear when you do the same thing - just double tap the screen using 3 fingers at the same time.

If the song does not appear in your Purchased folder, then you can go back to the Store, select the song again, go select "Buy", and press Enter. iTunes knows you already purchased it, so it won't charge you again. It will, in fact, tell you that you have already purchased this item, and will ask you if you want to download it again for free....
Just in case it is not to be found in the Purchased folder!

I had an in app purchase made by a young family member that was just pressing buttons. How do I get a refund as this is not wanted and has cost me £5.50!!

To try and stop it happening again you can turn off in-app purchases via Settings > General > Restrictions > In-App Purchases 'off', and depending upon what version of iOS that you have on your iPad you might also be able to set 'Require Password' to 'Immediately' on the Restrictions screen (the default is a 15 minute period during which it doesn't need re-entering).

I bought my 72-year-old Mother a new iPad 2 and she is loving it. I set up the account for her to purchase new games through the app store if she wanted, but she was not aware that the in-app purchases were real-life purchases, she thought it was fake money inside the game (now she knows). Is it possible to get a refund for this? I tried to do it through the 'report a problem' but it said it was not refundable and $99.99 is a very big mistake to make on her first day with the iPad.

You may want to consider turning off In-App purchases in the Restrictions:
Settings > General > Restrictions > Enable Restrictions > Create a passcode > verify passcode > Turn off In-App Purchases.
