My iPad randomly shuts off with any app. Can you tell me why.

If your iPad will not charge, and you have verified the issue by using a different cable and adapter, try these steps next:
Look at the connector at the bottom of your device and make sure it’s free of debris.
If you're using a USB power adapter, make sure it's plugged in all the way and the power outlet is working. If you're connecting to a computer, make sure it's on and can charge your device. To charge an iPad, you might need to use a USB power adapter and plug into a power outlet.
If everything seems to be working, reconnect your device and wait for 30 minutes.
If your device still doesn’t charge, try to restart it while it's connected to power. If you can't restart, reset your device.
If your device still doesn't charge or you still see an alert after trying the steps above, contact Apple Support.

Ipad 2 turned off with 18% power left, won't come back on

Our Ipad 2 turned off last week with 18% power left. To help narrow the solution down, I will try my best to give you the various things we have tried to get it back up. First, Itunes will not show the device unless you put it into DFU mode. It has been put into DFU mode a couple times now to get itunes to recognize the device. It pops up that we have a device in recovery mode and when we go to restore it pops up that an unexpected problem has occured ( 1602). I have tried on a couple different computers ,different ports, and different USB cables with no luck. It will get to verifying restore with apple but then the error pops up. I have tried to uninstall then reinstall itunes both with the cables still attached and unattached. Itunes still won't show the device until you DFU it. I did notice that the apple is supposed to show up on the screen and it does not. Even the router was reset in hopes that this could possibly be the issue. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

my ipad cover lock is not working anymore. any suggestions?

Tap Settings>General>iPad Cover Lock/Unlock. Be sure the setting is set to ON

None of the video is working. I try Netflix, YouTube, Netflix no video and you tube just turns off. Tv apps have no video as well

Are you having this problem in both mobile and desktop Firefox, or in mobile Firefox only? (Except for the "preload" issue, the WebM code should be identical.)

IT JUST TURNS OFF

I have laptop 3000 N200, OS is WIN Xp sp3, for 14mnths - so it's out of warranty, and I have major problem. Problem started couple mnths ago when it's just restart and posting message "system recover from major problem" (something like that). That hapened, hm, maybe, almost everyday, for a weeek or so, and I thougt maybe problem is overheating batery. Then problem continues with - can turn it off, so I had to keep my finger on power button to turn it off, and it hapened for 2-3, maybe 4 times. Now,during my work it just turns off without ANY warning, message, ANYTHING - JUST TURNS OFF. First time it hapened while it was burning DVD and thougt it was problem with Nero (v6) . Same hapened while it was recording via TV card. But last time hapenned while I was waching video via Wni media player ... so it's program-independent. Is it batery or WHAT ???

Why does my ipad keep turning off mirroring

When I try to turn on mirroring of my iPhone 4 or iPad2 it just turns off within seconds. Why?

Tony, try shutting down completely anything else you are doing. ( double tap the home key etc). Mirroring is a real load on both the processor as well as the wifi. Trying to mirror and fast game, for instance, will push the padmto the limit. And whn it crosses over the limit, it just shuts down. If you are trying to mirror a game, amke sure all the safari uses are shut off. If you are trying to mirror a web page, make sure the games are closed off.

Could be the charger, cable or iPad. Plug the USB cable into your computer. It may say "Not Charging", however, it is charging slowly and will verify that the cable is good.
Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W or 12W (5W on Mini) USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (2.5W, most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.

In rare instances when using the Camera Connection Kit, you may notice that iPad does not charge after using the Camera Connection Kit. Disconnecting and reconnecting the iPad from the charger will resolve this issue.

If the battery was empty (and it may then take 10 to 15 minutes of charging before it will respond), then have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds, after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the equivalent of a reboot.

There is a thread or two about the home button and how to fix it at least temporally. It sounds like some people have found it to be a rather permanent fix. Do search on something like "Home button won't work". It has something to do with putting the charging cable into the phone and applying a little extra pressure upward on the key. Don't take my word for it though look for the thread/s. You said originally that your "Power" button was broken and the thread I have seen is about the Home Button.

Very doubtful it's a malware issue.
When that happens, try resetting the device.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If an app quits again, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
Then try an app again.
