This is with regards to the App Store. Go to search and execute it. With a broader question you can get in the hundreds of products.
Now go through them one at a time as this is the only way to view.
Interested in an item half way down the list. You look at details.
It is not of interest. Go back to the search. Guess what you are thrown back into the beginning.
Now if this does not turn you off do not know what will.
Why are the developers of software not screaming. What about the users.
This has been going on since the introduction of system 6.
How long can this type of incompetence continue.
Has upper management short sold shares so that they can make a bundle when the shares tumble.
Such incompetence can only ride the coat tails for so long. Then the time to pay the piper comes

He dragged the icon out of the dock at the bottom and disappeared. That icon is merely a "shortcut" that opens the application when you click on it.
You still have the app. Open your applications folder and look for the App Store app icon. Click and hold down on the App Store icon and drag the icon down into the dock to replace it. That puts the shortcut back into the dock. -

Apple ID is only valid for purchases in the Swiss iTunes Store.
The issue is that your credit or debit card credentials must be associated with the same country where you reside.
"Although you can browse the iTunes Store in any country without being signed in, you can only purchase content from the iTunes Store for your own country. This is enforced via the billing address associated with your credit card or other payment method that you use with the iTunes Store, rather than your actual geographic location."

I would trot back into the Apple store and have them fix the problem (or call Applecare with a warranty issue). There is no sense in you wasting your time trying to troubleshoot things on a new computer.

It is possible that the app was removed from the App Store. If so you will not be able to get it back, unless you have it downloaded on your computer.
If you had downloaded it before and it is still in the store, you can go to the App Store app on your iPod and go to the Updates tab. Then you tap on "Purchased" and see if it is available to download from your previous purchases.

You can't change countries whilst you have a balance. If you can't spend it then you can try contacting iTunes Support and ask them if they can remove the balance from your account so that you can change countries : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

Nobody here is responsible for what is or is not available in any country. I believe it is a software licensing thing.
