I've had my iPad (retina display) since last year. Over the last few weeks the App Store struggles to load on occasion and times out completely. When searches do rarely complete, the App Store closes down and returns my iPad to the home screen and, when I open the App Store again, it has just reset the store, forcing it to load all over again. I've tried closing all running background applications, with no difference being made. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

1. Double-click the Home button to reveal Task Bar
2. Hold the App Store app down for a second or two until you see the minus sign
3. Tap the minus sign to close app
4. Re-launch the app and test
Note: If necessary close all apps in the Task Bar

    If you mean you mistakenly deleted an app and want to redownload - open the app store, tap Purchases and you should see the app...just download again from there.

    Make sure you are following these steps to delete the music from both your iPad and computer:
    On the iPad:
    Before you delete, find out if you'll be able to download the song you deleted again (it depends on where you live). To delete a song:
    Tap the Music app.
    Tap the Songs category.
    Swipe left to right over the song you want to delete.
    Tap Delete.
    On your computer:
    Before you delete, find out if you'll be able to download the song you deleted again (it depends on where you live). To delete a song:
    Launch iTunes.
    From the Library pop-up menu, choose Music.
    Click Songs in the navigation bar.
    Click the song you want to delete.
    Press the Delete key on your keyboard.
    In iTunes 11, the album cover art will remain visible, but a cloud icon will appear on it to allow you to download the item again (in countries that support this).
    Note: If you didn't purchase a song from the iTunes Store, you won't be able to download it again for free from iTunes in the Cloud. You might want to back it up somewhere on your computer.

    What exactly are you referring to?   Are the menus or templates for Pages in a different language?  Does something strange appear on the screen when you type?
    Could you perhaps use the Camera icon here to post a screenshot of what you are seeing?
    To make sure you have the right keyboard, go to system preferences/language & text/input sources and make sure that only the box for US or British is checked (and that the box for French or German or anything else is not checked).

    if you don't have a backup then most likely those emails are gone for good.
    just in case check the actual mailbox folders in finder.
    go to the folder /users/username/library/mail. inside it there are folders for your email accounts. drill into the folder for the account in question to the folder Messages. there should be a bunch of .emlx files. they are the actual files for all the emails in that mailbox. how many are there? you can quicklook them and see what's inside. any old emails among them. if yes, post back and we can try to recover them.
    if only emails for the last 24 hours are present then you are out of luck.
    in the future I strongly recommend you start backing up.

  • TS1424 I tried downloading a new song by Josh Turner, "Time is Love".  However, when trying to download Itunes gave an almost automatic response saying the file has been corrupted and there is basically nothing to download.  How do I get my song?

    You pay 1.29 for a song and you should get it. Itunes says the download is corrupted and check with the itunes store for available downloads to redownload my song.  Nothing happens and the song I already purchased is not yet available to me.

    Try downloading again:
    Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store - http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519
    Select the store on the left side of iTunes.
    Click on Purchased on the right side under Quick Links.
    You can re-download your available previous purchases.
    If it absolutely refuses to download:

  • TS1559 I have two problems but since they both started at the same time I'm guessing that they are related. My WiFi on/off button is greyed out AND my iCloud Drive (under "Settings") has been "Upgrading" with that spinning download symbol for 2 wks now! N

    I cant be positive but I think this started when my iPhone did an automatic software update. I couldn't get any WiFi connection because when I go to turn it back on the iPhone wont let me and Greys out my WiFi on/off button.
    But also I think something happened to my iCloud connect as well because next to my iCloud Drive under "Settings" it has that spinning symbol that usually denotes waiting for something to finish downloading. But this time it never stopped! Its been spinning saying "iCloud is Upgrading" for 2 weeks now! I have tried the on/off iPhone restart or reset, and I've even put my iPhone into "Recovery Mode" as a last resort. but when iTunes was finished "Restoring" it, nothing had changed; Still Greyed out WiFi button and iCloud is still "Upgrading"! Help please!

    I am a bit confused with your statement -

    end if;Here this statement -
    if ((p_select_list is not null) and (p_text_field is not null)) then
    return true;returning the result TRUE when both fields are not null
    And this statement -
    elsif ((p_select_list is null) and (p_text_field is null)) then
    return true;returning the result TRUE again when both fields are null. If you see closely basically is not validating becoz it returning true whatever the input is.
    I do not know what you want to use the second statement when you have else statement at the end. It will return false if one or both fields are null unless you want to validate either text field.
    Hope this make sense.

  • Laptop troubles and now my entire iTunes library has been deleted.

    My laptop is old and I regularly have troubles with it. Tonight it was being particularly stubborn, crashing, not starting up. Mostly caused by a virus I had resolved about 4 years ago and a worn out battery and charger. Well I was just downloading music I was then going to add to iTunes and after several hours of arguing with my laptop I'd finally gotten it all downloaded and properties filled in. When I went to open iTunes it said I was logged out. Naturally I logged in but when I did it told me that I had absolutely nothing in my library. First thing I did was check iCloud but there was nothing in there for my music, what I bought on iTunes and old files that I uploaded to iTunes. Next thing I did was select scan for media but it kept telling me that I don't have the authority or something to save them to iTunes. So I'm utterly lost at that to say the least and first part of my question is this permanent? With my laptop history it could be may laptop playing up but I feel it's unlikely that that's the case. But is there a chance if I signed on with another device, another laptop, could it be there?
    My second part of this is regarding the music I wanted to add. I'm not great regarding apple products but my gut tells me that as soon as I plug my iPad into my laptop to add the new music I'm going to lose everything else, aren't I? And does that affect my images I added via iTunes also?
    (P.S. Before anyone says it, and I've been told by multiple people this evening already, I am getting a new laptop. Until now it did what I wanted and iTunes worked, so did the Internet and Microsoft for my university work. But I think it's officially come to the end of its days.)

    Sorry, but I don't understand what has happened. Photoshop Elements is a program installed on your computer. What is missing? Can you open the program? What happens?

    My email app that came on the phone has been deleted and I can't get it back. And I can't find it in the play store.
    Can anyone tell me how to retrieve it?
    No it is not email for Gmail or hotmail
    I had to set up the incomeing and outgoing servers if that's any help and the color was a yellow envelope with the @ sign in the middle of it.
    Help I want my roadrunner.com email back.

    Close the App Store app and reset your iPad.
    Now close all apps. In order to close apps, you have to drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
    In order to reset your iPad, hold down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple logo appears on the screen after which time you can release the buttons and let the iPad start up.
    IF that didn't help, try turning WiFi off on your iPad in the Settings, restart the iPad, then turn Wifi on again.

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

    Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... ( But can take Longer...)
    Release the Buttons...
    Also consider Deleting any Apps you have Purchased / Downloaded but you now never use..
