Check out the troubleshooting for the touchscreen as it sounds like things are being touched randomly. You may just need to restore your iPad and then test it.

My Macbook has started deleted things. Systm Preferences, Bluetooth, Garageband... My work for college, My music ! I'm currently broke also and I think my insurance has run out. Close all apps in the recents tray completely and reboot iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. My iPad has started running slow when using YouTube how do I fix it?

When I play vids on YouTube it's started taking forever to buffer! Never had this problem before but tried few things like restoring iPad, turning it on and off and turning my Internet modem off. Can anyone help pleas?

I also have this problem and have search the support boards at apple and other websites. I have tried the suggestions and nothing so far has helped...changed DNS, tried YouTube using safari, rebooted my iPad..killed all apps, etc. I use iPad at my library and Internet here is great. I can't make changes to their routers as some sites have suggested. Funny thing is I end up using my Samsung Galaxy SII to view these same YouTube videos and it's lightening fast at my library...a little slower using my data plan but not by much. Wish I could use my iPad as the screen detail would be better but too slow, lags to the point of not even being fun. This is my 1st apple product and it's leaving a bad taste in my mouth....from what I see posted on the boards this is a BIG problem for many, many users...can't even believe apple doesn't know about it and have an official solution!

I've had an iPad from day one and it's my most prized possession, it goes everywhere with me and I love how it has given me so much entertainment. I missed the iPad 2 and decided to wait for the iPad 3, so like many I'm keen to hear what they have in store for us this week.
In recent weeks I have noticed that many of my apps, like flickr, safari, Facebook (think this an app specific prob) and many others are just dropping back to the home screen. I restart the iPad and in the most part this fixes the problem for an hour or two but then it starts again. I know I know it's a first gen iPad but it seems to be doing this far more than when I first got the system.
Has anyone else noticed this? I'm giving my iPad to my wife when iPad three comes out but until then I'd like to see if I can sort this out.

ITunes in iPad has started appearing in Chinese--how to fix back?

My husband opened his iTunes on his iPad 2 (with iOS8) tonight and it appears in Chinese. It first appeared in Chinese with only the iTunes U logo at the bottom and none of the other choices. He did a hard restart and now iTunes comes up as it should now, but all in Chinese. It has never done this before. We are in Beijing and just using our wifi without VPN on, the iTunes has always come up in English on our devices, although purchasing isn't allowed on some items, like music. With VPN set to the U.S., it has been working fine. Until tonight. He first got an error when calling up iTunes Radio with the VPN set to U.S. It said it was unavailable. He later went in to call up iTunes and it came up in Chinese. Even after restarting the iPad. Any ideas? It's still coming up in Chinese with the VPN working on a U.S. server. My iPad4 is working fine with iOS8 and iTunes comes up as it should in English even with my location as Beijing (my VPN service won't work on my iPad in China, only my laptop). Other than putting it back to factory settings, I'm not sure how to fix it.

I am not fully understanding the problem here. Are you seeing anything when you open iTunes, yes or no? Some people say they have a custom media file location but they really mean they have a custom library location and there is a big difference. You can set cutom media location in iTunes preferences but don't do that unless you are certain that is what you want/need. If you have lost connection to your library it won't help and it will make more a mess of things. It may help if you learn a bit on how iTunes works and maybe you can figure out yourself what you need:

What's all this about a .photolibrary??? I have never heard of that in connection with iTunes.

Have you used any sort of "tuner" software? You are obviously an advanced user. Sometimes we hack things up and forget about it later. If you are sure you didn't do that, maybe poke around with IPv6 settings. Supposedly people are trying to enable that and it is going to be a disaster.

In the last month my iPad has started refreshing web pages on it's own. let's say I'm filling out a form or typing something on Facebook and have to put iPad down for a minute when I come back to page, it refreshes and I lose everything.

First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider should one appear until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

I concur with Meg; having a number of iPads with the Smart Cover, I can say without a doubt that there is no possible way the case could bend the machined-alumnium case of iPad. The force exerted by the magnets is not anywhere near sufficiently powerful; if they were, not only could you not remove the cover, it would be attracting magnetic objects to the iPad. It's not even easy to bend the iPad yourself, much less the weak magnets of the case, which aren't even strong enough so you can pick up the iPad by the case without it coming off.
Something else has bent your iPad, if it indeed is bent (confirm with a verified straightedge; there's an optical illusion that makes the iPad appear to be bent when looked at edge-on, but it's not actually bent). If it is really bend, have you been carrying it it a backpack, attache case or other item with other objects? Set anything heavy on the iPad? I bet you, or someone, has, or something like that, and in such a case the damage will not be Apple's fault and hence not covered by the warranty.
But as Meg suggested, you can take it to an Apple Store and discuss the matter with them. The cover, though, again cannot possible have bent the iPad.

Try any or all of these things. Start with the third one - close all apps. That incorporates a restart as well. If that doesn't help, reset the iPad - the second tip.

How do I know if my iPad has a virus

My iPad has started behaving strangely while I'm using safari.
It allows me to open google and then search my chosen point, it delivers the findings and allows me to open the chosen site. However when I try to navigate further on the same page or return to the google search results it freezes and I have to start fom a new page. Culd I have picked up some kind of virus? And how do I scan my iPad for virus etc.

I'm not aware of any viruses for iOS devices.
Try clearing Safari's cache : Settings > Safari > Clear Cookies And Data (Clear Cache on iOS 4) and also Clear History
If that doesn't fix it then try closing Safari completely and then re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with Safari 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Safari app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
A third option is a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
