HT204266 why do my apps give an error message of "Album art could not be downloaded" when I try to update my ipod touch apps?
When I go to the App update page, all of the icons have a picture of a broken link. If I try to update the apps, I get a message that says "There was a problem downloading the artwork. Please try again by choosing 'check for available downloads' from the store menu." Nothing changes when I follow this direction.
Have you tried downloading the apps on your computer and syncing?
The message means what it says. Yu do not see the "artwork" for the app.

Why after few in app purchases I get a message that "your purchase could not be completed" when I try to do more in app purchases?!?! It's annoying!!
Sometimes rapid purchases look suspicious if you have a credit card attached to your account. Store credit takes a minute to catch up depending if the balance is low on the account. May want to check balance or with credit card company.

When I try to update my iPod Touch, I get an error message saying "The iPod Software update server could not be contacted. Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active, or try again later." Has anyone else had that and how do you end up updating your iPod?

Try:
- Powering off and then back on your router.
- iTunes for Windows: iTunes cannot contact the iPhone, iPad, or iPod software update server
- Change the DNS to either Google's or Open DNS servers
Public DNS — Google Developers
OpenDNS IP Addresses
- For one user uninstalling/reinstalling iTunes resolved the problem
- Try on another computer/network
- Wait if it is an Apple problem -

Why am I getting an error 306 when I try to update my ipod touch on itunes?
When I try to update my 3rd gen iPod Touch 32gb on my newly updated itunes, it tries to update it then gives me an error code 306 cannot update ipod because computer is not connected to the internet... My computer is fully connected to the internet and i can browse on firefox with no problems. Ran diagonstic tests through itunes and they said failure to connect to network. What should I do?
Try disabling the computer's firewall and antivirus duriong th download and update.
Are you sure it iserror 306? That is not listed as a error message in Apple's troubleshooting. -
I had to uninstall Firefox for Android because I was having problems logging in to sync. I got a support e-mail to uninstall and reinstall because the sync issue had been fixed. I uninstalled the Firefox app and then when I tried to reinstall it I get the error message on my phone "the requested item could not be found." HELP!
Some supported phones are not displaying Firefox in the Market for some reason. We're still investigating this. You can check if your phone is supported here:

Error message when I try to update my iPod Touch 4G 5.0.1 to 5.1.1
I'm trying to update my iPod from the 5.0.1 version to 5.1.1 and always I get error messages (error # 9134). The same happens when I try to restore it too. Any of you know what happens?

Third-party security software or router security settings can also cause this issue. To resolve this, follow Troubleshooting security software issues.
Downgrading to a previous version of iOS is not supported. If you have installed software to perform unauthorized modifications to your iOS device, that software may have redirected connections to the update server (gs.apple.com) within the Hosts file. First you must uninstall the unauthorized modification software from the computer, then edit out the "gs.apple.com" redirect from the hosts file, and then restart the computer for the host file changes to take affect. For steps to edit the Hosts file and allow iTunes to communicate with the update server, see iTunes: Troubleshooting iTunes Store on your computer, iPhone, iPad, or iPod—follow steps under the heading Blocked by configuration (Mac OS X / Windows) > Rebuild network information > The hosts file may also be blocking the iTunes Store. If you do not uninstall the unauthorized modification software prior to editing the hosts file, that software may automatically modify the hosts file again on restart. Also, using an older or modified .ipsw file can cause this issue. Try moving the current .ipsw file, or try restoring in a new user to ensure that iTunes downloads a new .ipsw.

I had ITunes installed up n running last November. Few weeks ago I started getting error messages and said to reinstall ITunes to fix the problem. So I went to control panel and deleted all Apple related programs, quick time n Itunes and reinstalled them But I cannot down load Itunes I get another error message saying ITunes.Setup_exe. I had previously installed ios5 to see it and then downgraded my ipod back and now I can't upgrade.

Try changing USB ports, uninstalling and reinstalling USB ports, and other available USB troubleshooting steps (troubleshooting USB connections, device not recognized properly, computer won't recognize a FireWire or USB device). If you are using a dock, bypass it and connect directly to the white Apple USB dock connector cable. If the issue persists on a known-good computer, the device may need service.
If the issue is not resolved by USB isolation troubleshooting, and another computer is not available, try these steps to resolve the issue:
Connect the device to iTunes, confirm that the device is in Recovery Mode. If it's not in Recovery Mode, put it into Recovery Mode.
Restore and wait for error 1604.
When prompted, click OK.
Close and reopen iTunes while iPhone remains connected.
iPhone should now be recognized in Recovery Mode again.
Try to restore again.
If the steps above do not resolve the issue, try restoring using a known-good USB cable, computer, and network connection.

Also, look at the article for stuff about the hosts file since you may have to get that back to normal since downgrading usually requires changing the hosts file. -

Installing the OS X Lion Update 10.7.3 (Client Combo) reinstalls the App Store for you which may help. Restart your Mac after the combo is installed.
It's ok to do this even though you are already running v10.7.3.
If that doesn't help, if you have anti virus software installed, disable that.
If you have an app called LIttle Snitch installed, that can prevent apps from updating.
