HT204291 airplay doesn't work on denon receiver

I have a Denon AV1613 receiver and airplay worked for a short time, then stopped working. If I unplug the ethernet cable from the receiver the connection will temporarily comeback, but within an hour the connection is lost again. I can't figure out what the problem is. Any suggestions?

A quick search of the forums, I found what might be the solution as I was about to post the same question you did.
If you have the iPhone 4S, double tap the home button then slide (Left to right) twice. You should see the Air Play icon on your iPhone screen. Tap that and it will give you an option to select your Apple TV then it sets up mirroring between iPhone and Apple TV. I am about to try and play one of my games that is on my phone and use my Apple TV to play it on my big screen TV.

iPhoto Menu -> Preferences -> Accounts ->
Delete and recreate your email settings.
Alternatively, use Apple's Mail for the job. It has Templates too - and more of them.

Airport express joins wireless (green flash on) but airplay doesn't work? I have turn off the firewall on the router, but still I cannot connct wireless to the airport express.

Apple tv doesn't work with my receiver

I updated my apple tv 3 and now it doesn't work with my Denon AVR-591 receiver. When I called Denon they said unfortunately the firmware on my receiver doesn't update and therefore may not work with certain devices. Is this possible?

connect the atv to a tv which does support the resolution and then lower the resolution and then connect it with your tv once more

I upgraded to Mavericks yesterday, thanks for the free of charge OS. Before upgrading my MBP Retina ran Mountain Lion which was perfect
Today I tried to route sound through my airplay speaker, but the mirroring doesn't work. Tried routing the sound to my ATV2, same thing. When I go to System settings->Sound, all the gadgets do show there, but when I click on them the highlight bar stays on the device I try to choose only for as long as I keep the mouse button pressed. As soon as I release, the highlight bar jumps right back to the inner speakers of the notebook.
I saw a thread where people complain about the missing airplay buttons and missing devices, but here everything seems to be in place, only the feature doesn't work at all no matter how many times I restart
Has anyone encoutered the same, fix available?

I just restarted my Apple-TV.

IOS 8.2 and Airplay doesn't work

iOS 8.1 never had any issues with Airplay. I connect to a Airport Express (2nd Gen-7.6.4) that had the mini jack (2.5mm) that I run to my mixer to play break and intermission music at gigs. Now it doesn't work at all since updating to iOS 8.2 which BTW, was suppose to fix intermittent issues with Airplay which I never had under 8.1. What is going on with Apple QC?

Unfortunately, this didn't do it. There has to be something in the Apple iOS SDK that has been changed. Seems like some 3rd party apps that utilize Airplay work and other that use to work, don't. I use an app called Master Fader which is an app for controlling my Mackie live sound mixer from the other side of the room. I connect to an Apple Airport Express which has the mini jack connecting to a stereo channel on my mixing board. Mackie claims that they don't Airplay features at all in their app, so it shouldn't affect Airplay from other apps (i.e. Apple Music), however it does. Doesn't matter whether it's running in the background or foreground. The Airport Express disappears from the dropdown list and only the iPad appears as an option. I'm convinced that there is something changes in the SDK for iOS8 on the way it calls Airplay. Maybe an older SDK (i.e. 7x) handled Airplay differently and apps that were compiled using an earlier version of the SDK aren't affected. Are there any developers out there that can confirm that. Are there any developers who want to shine some light on this matter?

I'm using Airport Express (2nd generation) for streaming music on my stereo from 2 iPhones: one 5 and one 6. Since I upgraded my iPhone 6 to iOS8.2, Airplay is not working anymore on this phone: Airplay icon is visible and actionnable, but it doesn' produce any sound on my stereo. Airport Utiliy is OK.
Airplay is still working on my iPhone 5 which hasn't been upgraded.
I did a hard reset of my iPhone 6, with no success.

Airplay doesn't work on my iphone 4S

My airplay was working yesterday with my iphone. But this morning, impossible to connect my iphone to my ATV 3. Icon is still on my phone but when i active it nothing happen on my tv.
But it works fine with my Macbook and my iPad, so i don't understand what's happening.
I've already reset my ATV and my iphone and it's still doesn't work.

Airplay doesn't work after Macbook Pro repair

I have a late-2011 Macbook Pro running OS X 10.9.4. I was having trackpad and stability issues so I brought my computer to the Apple store for service. It was sent out for repair and returned with several new parts, including motherboard, trackpad and battery. Since then, Airplay will not work - it worked before the repair, as well as working perfectly on my iPhone currently. There is no Airplay icon on the computer, and when I go to the Display settings it says no devices are detected. I'm up to date with all software. When I restarted the computer, the Airplay icon appeared - I clicked on it, selected AppleTV, then got an error message saying it could not connect. Then the icon disappeared. I've tried restarting my AppleTV, as well as updating the software - still works fine on the iPhone, but not the Macbook Pro. I'm using the same wireless for everything. Thanks for any suggestions!

I use CS4 on a Windows 7 64-bit computer.
I noticed that none of the extensions I installed with the Extension Manager don't appear at all in any of the CS4 programs.
Can anyone tell me why this doesn't work or how to solve this problem?

Apple tv 3 airplay doesn't work properly on Itunes 10.6.1

So me and my dad recently bought the new apple tv and everything works fine except for a few things, he doesn't connect properly with Itunes so I can't use Airplay and Homesharing. Is there a solution for this? I've seen more discussions on the community but haven't discovered a good solution yet.
Another strange thing about airplay is that sometimes it does show up in itunes but you can't connect cause of unkown fault (-150006), sometimes it can't connect but it's trying to for a long time and the connection window just dissapears and you can try again but still nothing is going to change and in very rare occassions it works?
We've tried a lot of things: resetting wi-fi router, resetting and restarting apple tv, turning on and off wi-fi on macbook, restarting itunes or macbook, we've bought an ethernet cable but still that doesn't make any difference, I've turned firewall off but that didn't work either.
My dad went to a local authorised Apple reseller and the only thing they said is that it should work so that didn't help us much.
So what can we do about this?

Also, the solution of using an Ethernet cable is no good for me. I live in a shared house, the router is in the landlords room. So I can log into the router and make changes, I have also tried rebooting, and resetting the router. But can not permanently use an ethernet cable.
Anyway, my friend is using his (unupgraded) apple tv just fine in the next room.
As I mentioned, it was just fine the way the router is now BEFORE the firmware upgrade. Straight after it connects for a few minutes at most. And in the last few hours it has refused to connect at all

AirPlay doesn't work when streaming from BBC iplayer unless I use mirroring

I usually watch iplayer and 4OD by streaming it from my iPad or iPhone onto my tv with AirPlay on apple tv but now all of a sudden I've been getting a connection error and the stream fails. It does still work when I use mirroring (which doesn't make sense to me) but mirroring won't fill the screen the way AirPlay does and it also makes my phone run hot since it can't blank the screen.
Any ideas what's going on?

Try restarting the Apple TV, it works fine for me so it's not the iPlayer.

AirPlay doesn't work in Safari (synchronisation does not appear)

I updated to IOS 5 and wanted to use AirPlay in Safari. When I select AirPlay I'm able to select my AppleTV but option synchronize doesn't appear. Video and audio streaming works fine. My AppleTV is on version 4.3 (2557). Any suggestions?

Airplay doesn't work after I bought a new wireless router

I bought apple tv 1 month ago and was working good. I had got a problem with my old wireless router and bought a new Linksys EA2700 router. I joined the new network from my apple tv and I shows a full bar signal but the IP became DHCP 192..est. when I tried to stream my mac on my tv, it shows it is connected where the airplay sign is blue and my tv become black and indicting it is getting something. but after 5 sec it shows me it is streaming but not exactly because when i move the courser it doesn't move on the tv. then it stop working. on the other hand when I play the Airplay on my iphone 5 it work even with the new router.
please help me fixing this problem

AirPlay doesn't work on Secure WiFi

I have the Apple TV 3rd Gen with latest update. It is connected to a WiFi Controller
It is not a separate router but a WiFi Controller which has separate splices for SSIDs. There is password authentication as well as MAC Address authentication.
When I use an iPhone 5S which is connected to the same WiFi as the Apple TV, the AirPlay icon shows up correctly on control center and mirroring works just fine.
However, same does not work on the iPhone 5C or 5 or 4S devices - the AirPlay icon doesn't show up at all, no matter what I do. I've restarted the devices & reset the Apple TV also, but to no avail.
I have tried on iOS 7.1.2 for the 4S & 5C as well as iOS 6 on the 4S
If there is an issue with the WiFi network being probematic in terms of the security, how come the 5S works seamlessly?
