In IOS 7, the air play button lies below the bottom of the iTunes page. You need to click along the bottom for it to come up. Air play is there! Wow! I spent so much time trying to figure out what was wrong and as usual, it was me!

On my advice we just got Apple Tv for our clinic but none of us can get the air play icon on our iPads or iPhones to mirror to the apple tv. Shouldn't we be able to mirror our devices onto the apple tv?

Here are just a few basic troubleshooting steps. Tell me more about the iPad 2. Is it wifi only? I'm asking because both the iPad and iPhone, if set up for cellular, will connect to the Web without connecting to your network. If the iPad is cellular, start by turning off the cell capability.
Restart your wireless router.
Give it a few minutes to boot up. Then connect the iPad to your wireless router. Turn on your AppleTV, and ensure it is connecting to the exact same wireless router. Make sure both are indeed receiving data from that router.
Then go and perform the steps required for AirPlay. Let us know how you do.

HT201343 Cannot get Air Play to work--tried everything :(

I have three, relatively new mac products--iphone 5s, iPad, and late 2012 macbook pro. I cannot get the airplay icon to show up on the phone or iPad. I have tried two different wi-fi networks, removed firewall on MB and router at home. Even when I am certain they are all on the same network, the Air Play icon will not show on my phone or ipad. I am trying to send my screen to my MB so I can record myself using apps. I have been trying for three days to get this to work. I have the Reflector App installed.
I am a teacher and need to record myself using apps for curricium I am writing.
So to recap:

same network
firewalls off
new gear with Airplay capability
tried another wifi network
all systems up to date
Tried to work with Reflector support, but that hasn't helped

Both devices:
Same wireless network "ATT232"
Bluetooth Off (tried on)
I tried rebooting everyhing: my router, my computer, and my phone. I "Reset network settings" on my phone. My Apple TV displays as a possible Airplay connection, but my Reflector app doesn't -- I'm lead to believe that the latest build of reflector app might be broken. No response from the developer :-(

I have tried all of the recommended steps to get the air play icon on my ipad without success. It was on my ipad at one time.

Google Play Services is not supported on BB10.
The only option available is something called Lucky Patcher. It takes a few extra steps but I've been successful in getting some of these apps to work after patching the apk with Lucky patcher.

If the iPhone won't Restart you should be able to Reset it. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
For the future (in case you don't' know), go to Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > Manage Storage, and choose your Device under the Backups list.
Under the Backup Options turn off anything you don't care about (being backed up, that is). This will let you reduce the backup size so that it fits in iCloud again. You can also delete the current backup here.
You should also check Settings > General > Usage and look at how much data each app is storing. Identify problem apps and go clean out unwanted files.

Due to a screen issue, I had my iPhone 5 replaced two days ago. I repeated deleted the mail account and kept adding it but this did not make any difference. When I attempted to setup the new phone with my Google (Gmail via exchange active sync) accounts I was receiving this same "Cannot Get Mail" error. From what I was able to gather, this problem should be affecting Gmail accounts set up via Exchange. When originally purchasing the phone I was assisted and directed to set up my Gmail account through Exchange because it had the ability to use "ActiveSync" and push not only mail and calendars, but all of my contacts as well. What it came down to was having to delete my Gmail via Exchange account and separate it into two different accounts, a regular gmail account for my mail and a CardDAV account for my contacts.
Here is what I did. Google is changing their system and for new registrars Exchange ActiveSync will not work so you will be unable to register your account via Exchange and have your mail, calenders, and contacts all pushed together. I find this change really annoying. If you are having problems accessing your contacts after deleting the mail account, like I was, here is the work around.
To circumvent this issue go to Setting > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Add Account > Other > Add CardDAV Account: Under server ender google.com, then your email user name and password, then click next to verify the information.

Cannot get PC to print through my new iMac, Please help!

I am new to the Apple operating system and computers. Just purchased a 20" iMac and I am having issues getting my laptop PCs to print. The printer is a HP Officejet 7310 All in One and is hooked up via usb to the iMac. The iMac prints no problem. I installed Bonjour on my PC and it located the printer no problem. I set it up and it is now available in my printer list. I set it as a default and try to print a test page and nothing happens. Printer sharing is turned on on the iMac and I have disabled the firewall completely on the PC. Any thoughts on what I might be missing?

I have the iPad 3 and I cannot get it to sync with my iTunes. Please help.

The only way I've gotten it to sync is by restoring it to factory. Any other time it gets stuck on the preparing to sync step and then just quits. No error message or anything. I never had this problem with the iPad 2 so i'm not sure if it is my iTunes or my iPad but I have updated the software on both to no avail.

I'm not computer literate. It says contact your server administrator but I don't know what this means.

Your "server administrator" would be, for example, Google support for Gmail, Yahoo support for Yahoo mail, Microsoft support for Hotmail, your company IT support for work email, iCloud support for iCloud email, et cetera.
Quite likely, some setting in that email account is not quite right. Perhaps it got mangled during the update, or perhaps it is a coincidence.

stevie, a third party app called airparrot will give you the pretty much the same as mirroring and forks on Macs too old to mirror.
