Have you left the iPod to charge for a couple of hours and then tried resetting it again? It can take up to at least 30 minutes of charging before an iPod with a dead battery shows any signs of life. By a reset, I assume you mean pressing and holding both the Select/Center and Menu buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear?

Cannot see Airplay icon on any of my devices

Hi Community,
I bought a brand new Apple TV and it connected to the wireless network at home. I can use photo stream with all my devices, I can access all internet services directly using the Apple TV (e.g. Youtube, Movies, Netflix, etc...) but I cannot see Airplay on any of my devices (2 iPads, 2 iPhones).
I have disabled the firewall settings on my router. The Apple TV has a DHCP ip address and has strong wireless signal. I have updated my AppleTV software today to the latest version. Still none of my devices can see Airplay icon.
I couldn't find any discussion that could help me in sorting my problem out.

Thanks for the link. It didn't work at first on any of the devices but then I decided to enter a manual DNS instead of an automatic configuration. Then followed the steps again from your link and it worked.
It is not stable though as I need to reset the device for it to see the airplay. But when it is connected it stays connected for 30 minutes approx.
Any other suggestions to keep it stable would be fantastic but at least in the meantime I have a workaround.

I cannot see my photos in iphoto library - I tried to restore with Time Machine and that doubled the number of photos (copies) but I still cannot see the images - the events are there but no thumbnails although the number of pics per event is correct...

Can someone help me see my pictures again in iphoto? 3 weeks ago while uploading a video from iphoto to Facebook, my events thumbnails all disappeared and were replaced by black squares - the event names and number of pics in each remain but when I click on the event, I only get squares where the pics should be - when I click those squares, I get a square with a triangle and an exclamation mark in middle.
Apple had emailed me about defective disks in iMacs so I took mine to the Apple Store and they replaced my HD then reinstalled from my backup via Time Machine - I still cannot see my pics! I tried to reinstall from an earlier Time Machine date - that copied everything and now my HD has double the amount of data but I still cannot see my pictures!
I would be thankful for any guidance on how to retrieve my pictures...

Welcome to the Apple Community Willy.
Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
Check AirPlay is turned on on the Apple TV (turn it off and on if it already is)
Check that both devices are on the same network (Settings > Wifi, on the mobile device and Settings > General > Network, on the Apple TV).
Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Restart your router. (Also try removing it’s power cord for at least 30 seconds)
Restart your mobile device.

I have recentely purchased an apple tv and connected to the home Wi-Fi with my iPhone 4. Apple TV seems to be setup ok but I cannot mirror anything as I cannot see Airplay icon in my iPhone 4? I am also using iTunes 10.6 with Windows Vista but cannot share any content from PC to Apple Tv where I have the home sharing Turned On. any help will be appreciated.

Why is it that I cannot see my iMessages from my iPad on my iPhone? I have both on the iCloud, both have iMessage on, and on my iPhone I show to receive at both my cell phone number and my email address that is linked to my iPad. Any suggestions?

If its SD DV, check the following:
· Camera is set to the proper input
· In FCP, Canvas is set to RGB and sized to "Fit to Window or smaller
· View->External Video is set to "All Frames"

We regret for the inconvenience caused to you however i would like to know certain facts so that i can assist you better:
Are you unable to see documents on the cloud on both of your devices- iPad and iPhone?
Try opening cloud.acrobat.com and check if your files are synchronized on the server ?
