HT204370 I can't find two purchased movie files
They were on my computer but when I play them they are different movies. I don't know what bill they were in (How do I search 5 years worth worth of bills anyway?).
How can I find/restore these?
Do they show in the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page ? If they do, but they don't have the cloud symbol against, then do you still have them listed in the TV Shows part of your library ? If you do then try deleting them from there and they should then get the cloud symbol in Purchased for redownloading.
If you aren't in a country where TV programmes can be redownloaded, or you are but they are no longer in your country's store, then you won't be able to redownload them, you will need to copy them back from your backup of your library/downloads that you should be keeping and maintaining.

I just bought Spider-Man trilogy on my Mac mini and it shows up as a charge on my account- but I can't find the movies (the spider-man movies). Not in my library, not in available downloads. ??
Make sure you're in the Movies library and not elsewhere. And if you still can't find it you can re-download it from the iTunes Store. Go to the iTunes Store. There is a link call Purchases on the right part of the page. You'll find everything you've purchased from iTunes there.

It sounds like you deleted your music and films from your computer - since doing it have you emptied your computer's recycle bin/trashcan, or are some/all of your music and/or films still in it so that you can put them back ?
If not then you might be able to redownload some/all of your past purchases - what you will be able to redownload will depend upon whether you've moved countries since buying them (you can't potentially redownload another country's purchases unless you return to the country), and whether the rights-holder has removed them from the store. What you can redownload will show via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage. If you still have the item listed in the Music / Movies part of your library then iTunes will assume that you still have them somewhere and won't show the cloud against them in Purchased for redownloading - you will need to delete those entries (where you are getting the 'unable to locate' message when trying to play them) from your library for the cloud icon to show against them in Purchased. -

Both the AVI and the MOV file extensions refer to the file container and not the compressed data the file contains. Both are generic file containers in that each may contain any valid combination of audio and/or video data that is compatible with the codec component configuration of the system on which the file was created. On the other hand, whether a file is playback compatible, conversion compatible, and/or edit compatible depends on the data actually contained in the file container. So, you are basically dealing with two separate issues here—the container and what is inside it.
Basically, if you want to make your files ediit compatible with iMovie, you must change your file container to one that is acceptable to iMovie and convert the data to edit compatible audio and/or video compression formats as may be necessary. The best approach is to determine what codecs were actually used to create the original AVI files and add them to your system if possible. In most cases a codec package like Perian can be added to your system's codec component configuration to may the AVI file playable. Once they are playable, in the QT 7 app then they can be chnged or converted to file types and compression formats that can be edited in iMovie. (While Perian handles most codecs commonly used to create AVI files, it does not handle all possibilities and, while the Perian codec package still works under cureent Mac OS versions, its development group has decided to drop further development/support of the package.)
Background: AVI is a file container originally developed by Microsoft back in 1992 but for which official support was discontinued about 11 years. Despite its limitations, Windows users still tend to use this file based on its open source ease of use and generic nature, thus, making its use so popular that most users are unwilling to switch to more modern but less generic file types. Since some AVI legacy compression formats have never been transcoded for the Mac or use beyond OS 9 or OS X PPC platforms, it is often important to know what specific compression formats are contained in the AVI file to know which codecs to add to your system and which not to add in order to avoid possible codec conflicts.
You can use many different converters to convert AVI files to iMovie edit compatible files. Most third-party apps contain their own buit-in codecs which do not relay on the Mac codec component configuration. Free ones, like HandBrake, usually have limited conversion capabilities while those that have more varied outputs are usually commercial in nature and will cost you additional cash. QT 7 Pro or the free MPEG Streamclip app allow you to access you own system's component configuration and use any available codec component like DV, AIC, MPEG-4, H.264, Photo JPEG, etc.—all of which are iMovie compatible for editing purposes—but only after making the AVI file QT 7 player compatible.
In order to determine what compression formats wewre used in your AVI files you can
1) Try checking the Finder "Info" window,
2) Use the "Inspector", "Media Info", or "Properties" window of any player app that will open the file, or
3) Use a general media utility app like "MediaInfo" to read the file characteristics. -
My OS is 10.9.3.I've been working on a document in Pages 4.3. Now is says I can not open the document unless I upgrade to Pages 5.2. The Pages 5.2 page in the App store says "installed" nor can I find a "purchase" or "install" button. How do I get Pages 5.2?
If you have already updated to Pages 5.2 on your Mac, you may be trying to open the file with a previous version of Pages. If this is the case, you have two versions of Pages on your Mac & are trying to open Pages 5 documents with Pages 4. Are you launching Pages from an icon in your Dock? Installing the update does not change the Dock icons & it does not remove the older versions. Go to your Applications folder & launch the new Pages from there then right-click on the Dock icon & select Options > Keep in Dock.
Installing new versions of iWork has never replaced existing versions. This is nothing new. The only thing new is that the '09 apps are moved to an iWork '09 folder if they were purchased from the Mac App Store. If they were installed from disk they should already be in a separate folder in Applications. -
How can you watch itunes purchased movies on apple tv. A click on to movies then into purchase thn a click on a movie i want to watch then my apple tv box light starts going on and off plus the screen is blank

You should certainly be able to add content by reference to itunes from such a disk (even before the update) - so long as itunes knows the location of the file (set Preferences not to copy to local library when adding the media) it will stream it to AppleTV if the disk is available.
I hope you're right, but I'd be surprised if current Extremes can be upgarded to provide a full Home Sharing service - marvellous if they can but I'd be surprised as i've long said we need an Apple media server either based on TC or AE to do this kind of thing.

I can't play any purchased movies. Sounds like it is the 6.0 update. So what is the fix? Am I just stuck not being able to use my Apple TV until...?
Sorry I can't help but I have potentially a similar problem.
We have an Apple TV 3 and after the most recent software update (potentially coincidental timing), our purchased movies & TV shows will no longer play for our US account. We can play previews but that's it. We also tried renting a new movie but that didn't work either. No error messsage, just select play, it thinks about it, then returns you to the same screen again.
Any help greatly appreciated.

You can't currently permanently delete items, all you can do is hide them so that they are less visible : hiding and unhiding. At the moment you can't hide items directly on iOS 6 devices, but you should be able to do it via your computer's iTunes.

Just updated to iCloud, but I can't find the 'purchased' list on the iTunes store on my iPhone. There's no button for it on the toolbar or under the 'more' option. Want to play/download my puchased music via iCloud on my iPhone.... Help someone please?!

On an iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch it should download into the Videos app (iTunes on iOS devices is just the iTunes store) - if it's not in the Videos app then have you got a film age rating set in Settings > General > Restrictions that is hiding it ?

It's an issue with Apple and we're awaiting an update re this

As it stands iTunes cannot be accessed via ATV's and nor can it be streamed via AirPlay from iTunes to the ATV
However I can access all films/iCloud content via my Mac Mini with no issues! -

You are looking in the videos app - correct?
If they are not in there - try this ....
Swipe to the right from your first home screen to get to the iPad Spotlight search. Type in the name of any of your movies in the field at the top. If a movie appears in the search - tap on it and it should hopefully start to play. Let it play for a minute or so - hit done - go back to videos app and see if all is OK and if the rest of your movies have appeared.
If they still do not show up - sync them back from iTunes on your computer.
