HT204370 why did i have to buy the movie again if i allready bought it?

why did i have to buy the movie again if i allready bought it? i want my money back

You can't get a new DVD, which is what RG said. VUDU, the download service Walmart resells, is a different subject and not what RG was referring to.
But what some other company can allow is irrelevent to the issue. From the iTunes Store, movies can be re-downloaded only in the US, and then only from those movie studios that have allowed it. This is not by Apple's choice; it's completely the choice of the movie studios. If your movie is not available under the Purchased section of your iTunes Store account, then redownloading is available only if you purchase the movie again.

  • Why did i have to buy iPhoto when i realised my daughters macbook had it preinstalled

why did i have to pay for iphoto when my daughters identical macbook came with it pre-installed??

Apple is not here. Apple does not answer questions here.
There are only users here who have no idea the answer to your question whith so little information. What year did you buy your Mac and your daughter's Mac. What MacBook model's are they both? From whom did you buy them, directly from Apple or a 3rd party vender? The more details the better to offer ideas.

  • Why did you have to change the layout of Firefox?

I would like to know why you have gone and changed the layout of Firefox?
I am still on Fx 3.6.18 because quite frankly 5.0.1 looks horrible.
Why did you have to change everything and move things around. Why couldn't you have given us the same layout as 3.6.18 but with these new upgrades.
I will never download Fx5. 3.6 was perfect.
Also how can I contact Fx without upgrading?

Sorry the old Feedback page - Hendrix - used with older versions of Firefox was disabled near the end of 2010.
In Firefox 4+ versions there's a Help > Submit Feedback... menu item which leads here: http://input.mozilla.com/en-US/feedback <br />
But you can't submit feedback there with an older version of Firefox, currently you need Firefox 5.0 or higher.
The decision to change the GUI was made by Mozilla collectively, not by a small group of developers or by one person. If you put your efforts toward customizing Firefox to suit your tastes, it would be a lot more productive than trying to find out who to blame and where to complain about the changes made to Firefox. Geez dude, it ain't the end of the world. It's only a web browser, which can be easily modified to make it look like you thing it should look.

  • Why do you have to buy the same app on all devices?

If you have multiple apple products like iphone, ipad, mac..ect. I understand the different versions of the OS but still, I would think they'd have a bundle price or something. I've had to rebuy the same apps over and over. Is there any way around this?

Some apps are universal, most are not.
As provided, these are entirely different platforms.
Just as you would have to buy a movie twice of you wanted to watch it on a dvd player and a vcr.
You would have to buy the same video game twice if you wanted to play on a Wii and a playstation.

  • Why did I have to buy NBA League Pass TWICE for it to work?

League Pass Choice wouldn't work at all (2014) so out $150 plus tax. Had to buy the $200 Premium package. Now, after $350, finally get the games this year at my home in Costa Rica. Awfully expensive and absolutely NO service from NEULION franchisee down here. ---- NONE!

First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart.
If that doesn't work Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support.

  • Will I have to buy the games again?

I'm considering a purchase of the new iPod nano, but I would first like to know if the games that I have purchased for the iPod 5G will be updated to work with the new iPod nano, or if I will have to purchase them again for them to work. If I have to buy them again for them to work, that is a terribly dissapointing decision on Apple's part and would provide a major obstacle in my getting one of the new iPod nanos.
Can I get a concrete answer on this? So far it's all been speculation.

Only Tetris, Ms. Pac-Man and Sudoku will be compatible with the new nano's. Unless Apple releases an update making all games compatible, only those three games will be compatible.

  • If I have apps like iwork- pages, numbers downloaded to my ipad do I have to buy the apps again to get them on my iMac? My iMac has the 08 version, my iPad the 09. I am trying to reconcile.

Can I transfer apps from my iPad to my iMac- specifically I have iworks 09 on the pad, but 08 on the mac- I can't transfer documents to my iMac. Do I have to buy another copy for my mac or should i be able to use the app I purchased on the iPad? Please advise.

You will have to purchase them for the Mac - the two operating systems are totally different and what works on an iDevice will not work on a Mac.

  • My computer crashed. Hadn't saved playlist. Can I get this back or do I have to buy the songs again?

My computer crashed. Hadn't saved playlist. Can I get it back or do I have to purchase the songs all over again? Thanks.

As the link in another post indicates, you can dwnload some media again.  This will not get your playlists back, just the media you purchased from iTunes.  You'll have to start over again in terms of playlists, ratings, play count, and any other customization you may have done.
It is well worth considering purhcasing an external hard drive to back up your files for situations such as this, or looking at the iTunes Match service (which is not the same as a backup drive)  You didn't mention iTunes movies but if you had any, you cannot download those a second time.

  • Why did they have to ruin the Thinkpad T-series?

    Hi all,
Just bought one of the very last T430 in a sellout, and this will most likely be my last Thinkpad, because Lenovo's design changes in the current T models are totally inacceptable for me. Actually, I even disliked the new keyboard layout on the Tx30 models, but I can still live with that.
I still do not understand why they had to ruin the iconic Thinkpad T-series. The obvious aim to make Thinkpads more Apple-like is totally ridiculous.
Consumers who want fashoniable laptops will still by from Apple. And most people who used to buy Thinkpad T models do not care about fashion. I even know many Thinkpad owners who loved there T models for being somewhat ugly.
Lenovo claims that there design changes were based on research, but the arguments they gave for the changes are mostly ridicuolous. For example, Lenovo says that the 7th row of the keyboard and the dedicated trackpoint buttons were removed in an attempt to make the design look cleaner and more regular. But really: What kind of silly argument is that? Ergonomy is certainly more important to the traditional Thinkpad owners than cleanliness or regularity of the design.
Apple's Jonathan Ives might claim that beautiful design and ergonomic design are the same, but if he does so, this guy is lying. There are many beautiful design that are highly unergonomic and there are many highly ergonomic designs that are rather ugly. Beauty and ergonomics do not have much to do with each other.
Apart from tactile feedback, the most important feature of an ergonomic keyboard is layout that sticks to the standard layout as much as possible. The reason is simple: This way, you do not have to adjust when you change between your laptop and a standard keyboard. Any unnecessary deviation from the standard layout is unergonomic for anyone who most also work with standard keyboard.
I spell it out for you: Apple keyboards are highly unergonomic due to their deviation from the standard layout. Only Apple fanboys who use Apple devices only will find these non-standard keyboard ergonomic.
In general, leaving away dedicated buttons just to make a device look cleaner or more regular, is totally unergonomic. Sacrificing key groupings for a cleaner look is also totally unergonomic. All these design decisions are wrong from an ergonomics point of view. Large touchpads that get into your way will typing are also unergonomic.
Lenovo should stop this and return to IBM's design principles. I want ugly Thinkpads again with an irregular, but ergonomic keyboard layout, dedicated trackpoint und touchpad buttons.
If Lenovo wants to be innovative, they should concentrate on the things that really need to be improved: Better displays, better battery life, less weight, etc. pp.
    Best reagrds,
    Robert

  • Why did I have to buy Snow Leopard just to get my iPhone to work?

I received my new iPhone 4 this past week and when I plugged it in, it said my software was not up to date. At the time, I was running 10.4.11 and things were running great, which is why I continued to keep it there as it fulfilled the duties it needed to for my work. Then, rather than just plugging in my new phone and letting the Mac do its thing, I had to go out, purchase Snow Leopard, install, wait, and then install phone. So, what used to be a relatively quick process for a new Mac product became hours and hours, and also cost extra money which I did not intend to spend as I was content running Tiger. I was coming from an iPhone 3GS, which was working just fine on my current system to this.
Is Apple considering refunding the cost of the software to customers who had to upgrade the OS just to get his or her iPhone running? If they are not considering it, I think that they should.
As a loyal Mac costumer, I am a bit frustrated that the process is turning into that which I desired to get away from- the PC and Windows- in which everything would still work the same as the updates were made. I would appreciate some feedback on this topic.

If you need more of an answer than Barney already gave you, Tiger doesn't support all the features of the iPhone 4, in much the same way it doesn't support all the features of iTunes 9. This should not be much of a surprise. Tiger was released in mid 2005 & the last version update to 10.4.11 was released in November of 2007. It simply lacks many of the underlying OS services the more recent versions include.
