A first generation AirPort Express cannot "wirelessly extend" a wireless network, but you can connect it to any router with an Ethernet cable. It can then serve as a wireless access point and be used to connect any USB-only printer.

Quite a few questions there, Sends, but I will do what I can to answer them.
I would first recommend buying a router, even if it is one that you won't connect to the internet and network this with your other PCs and the printer. This will give you the best functionality and results for what you are attempting to do.
Additionally, the Auto Off feature of the printer can be disabled, and is not affected by the connection type. You can usually go through the Setup Menu and select Tools to change the options there on the energy saving features.
Lastly, the auto off feature on your computer is a Windows question, but an easy one to answer. If you are on a laptop you can right-click on the battery in the service tray (bottom right hand corner) and change the energy conservation settings.
You might be better off installing the printer through the USB cord and alternating that based on when you are using it, but that would be optimal only if you are printing only a few documents on an irregular basis. A networked connection is the easiest to manage over several computers, honesty, but you do have some requirements for that connection and limitations as well.

but, i want it to display mode when open workbook, and i already have a edit button, if i want to edit the value i will use Edit button, so, i wan it as display mode when i first open workbook.
so, can anyone tell me how to set it as display mode when open workbook which included input ready query?

now we're using weblogic 11g, we want to set the clock skew properties.
in server side, we "Create a Web Service security" to set the "Clock Skew" property, change it value from 60000 to 120000, then we invoke the web service from stand-alone client on another machine, the clock skew between the server machine an client machine is 80000. but it still throw exception:
javax.xml.ws.soap.SOAPFaultException: Message Created time past the current time even accounting for set clock skew+
at weblogic.wsee.jaxws.framework.jaxrpc.TubeFactory$JAXRPCTube.processResponse(TubeFactory.java:241)+
we think we still need set the clock skew at client side. in webloigc8.1 doc(http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13222_01/wls/docs81/webserv/client.html), we find there's properties such as "weblogic.webservice.security.clock.precision" we can set in client side, but in weblogic 10.3 doc, we can't find these properties.

How to change airport settings in safe boot mode ?

At the moment my new macmini boots only in safe mode.
I think its because of a faulty airport. Unfortunately, the safe mode does not offer a GUI for disabling airport for normal boot.
The Apple Support page says "2. Remove the AirPort Extreme Card" but I do not want to open a 1 week old Computer.

HT204371 How to setup Airport Express to extend my network range?

I have an Airport Extreme as main router and want to install an Airport Express to extend the range of my wifi. However it only works when connected through an ethernet cable. How can I setup my Airport Express to work wirelessly and extend the wifi range?

I have a Time Capsule in the basement and my daughter is 3 stories up on her iMac and she complains about speed while online. She is about 40 feet up from me with 3 ceilings in between.
It is a nothing short of a miracle that she can get any signal at all under those conditions.
Found an AirPort Express Base Station (the one that looks like a power bar for Apple laptops) - model # is A1084.
Unfortunately, this older version of the Express does not have the capability to "extend a wireless network" using wireless only.
You need the A1264 version, or the "new" AirPort Express (that looks like a miniature Time Capsule) if you want to try to "extend" using wireless only. In this case, you would want to locate the extending device approximately half the distance between the Time Capsule and her computer.
I can't say that this will do a lot to improve things....it's going to be one of those situations where you won't know if it will work until you try.
(or am I better off trying to run a super long Ethernet cable to her somehow?)
This is by far the best choice in terms of performance. There is no signal loss in a wire. She will be amazed at how well and fast her Mac runs this way.

Listen I wasn't able to get these woking as a Root-Bridge & Non-Root Bridge but was able to get them to work as Root-Bridge with Wireless. Ok I'm out here in the middle of nowhere in Iraq so i say fine just put a password on the wireless client but it seem no matter what I do I cant get to the place to just secure it with a password.

From your query I understand that you are trying to configure some form of authentication for Wireless clients accessing the wireless bridge. Read the following document which explains how to configure the AP/Bridge as a local radius server to authentication clients.

Were building an ASP-solution, where storage of outgoing documents will be an optional service, where the customers that choose to use the functionality will have to pay for it. Each customer will run in a separate client in the same instance.
Now, what we need to figure out is how to deactivate the functions for those customers that choose NOT to pay for the service. As the repositories are cross-client, and configuration/customizing will be as close to identical as possible in the different client, we have problems identifying how to do this. It is not a viable option to change configuration for some customers - were talking lots of clients here.
Does anyone have a proposal for how we could handle this situation?

Can't get Netgear wg602 v3 to join Airport Express network in client mode

I have been happily using my Airport Express as a base station, but now I need to extend the range to a downstairs area, and I would like to do it with point-to-point bridging so that the AE is the base, and the bridge receives the wireless signal and shares it over ethernet to a switch downstairs.
I have (stupidly) purchased a Netgear wg602 v3 expecting that it would be able to be the client that could pick up and then share the AE's signal over ethernet, but I absolutely cannot get it to join the network and bridge the signal from the AE.
I have brand new firmware on both APs, and I have set them up so that they both have the same SSIDs and passwords, and the Netgear has the AE's MAC entered in it's point-to-point bridging section, and the AE has the Netgear's MAC in its WDS section.
Can anyone give me a hand getting this working?

Last night after quite a bit of effort I actually got it to work without security.
The settings are to create a uniquely-named point-to-point bridging network with the Netgear, referencing the AE's MAC, and tell the AE to use the Netgear's MAC at its uniquely-named network as a remote station via the WDS tab in Airport Admin utility. Auto-configure remote base station will fail, but the AE will be able to join the insecure Netgear box to its network and the Netgear will subsequently relay requests received over its ethernet port directly to the AE.
My question now is whether there is any way to do this with a modicum of security. I guess there's nothing to do but experiment.

HT1731 Airport wont show up in Airport Utility when in client mode.

When i follow these steps on my Airport Extreme it restarts but then it wont show up in Airport Utility and my PC or Xbox wont connect to the internet through ethernet. The amber light is green and the AE is connected to my iPhone. I'm sharing internet from my iPhone and using the Airport Utility on my PC. Any advice?

I am not sure that I understand your setup, but it might be important to note that the AirPort Extreme needs an Ethernet connection at its WAN "O" port to be able to provide an Internet connection to any devices that are connected to the LAN Ethernet ports on the Extreme.
If you happen to have the AirPort Extreme picking up a wireless signal, the Ethernet ports are not enabled on the Extreme in this type of setup.
