Since the last couple of updates to Mac OS, the screen saver function has regressed in features. I have not been able to get the program to recognize pictures in nested folders--something the program did without problem in earlier versions of the OS. This severely limits the slide show capability of the screen saver. Why would an OS update--an improvement, if you will--reduce significantly the functionality of a built-in feature?

Apple continues to cripple useful functions. All I can suggest is to File a bug report with Apple.

The music sync is one way - computer to ipod. The exception is itunes purchases. You can transfer itunes purchases from ipod to itunes: File>Transfer Purchases

No. Are you saving the project as a disk image rather than burning directly to disk from iDVD? If not then that's what I suggest you do. That will separate the encoding process from the burn process to save time and disks if the encoding is bad. It also lets you burn a second or third disk without having to encode again.

No, downgrading from any version of iOS to an earlier version is not supported.

Put the device back into discovery mode and the iPad will see it again. Make sure the Bluetooth is ON in Settings and look at the devices seen.

Is there any way by which I can not use Thunar Sys Tray icon?

I am using stalonetray in OpenBox in Arch and when I copy-paste or cut-paste files in Thunar, a sys tray icon pops up. I don't want it to pop up.

Are you sure this isn't some other tool, like a clipboard manager? Are their any tooltip popups or menus available on the tray icon and/or what happens when you click the icon?
No. I use only Thunar. When I hover on the icon it says that "1 file operation running" when a copy-paste or cut-paste operation happens and when I left click and right click on it, it shows the copying window of thunar. The icon shows two small yellow folders placed diagonally. It's the same icon that appears on the file operation progress window of Thunar. I don't know whether Numix has anything to do with the specific icon though.

what about debugging ? Just set a break point and run the Debugger (the red run icon). Or you use logging http://blogs.oracle.com/groundside/entry/adventures_in_adf_logging_part to print out for each row whats going on

Is there any way to restore 'Save As' in Pages?

I need the 'Save As' menu item. Is there any way this can be restored in the current Pages app? Or is there perhaps some work-around I can use? 'Save As' is so universal I can't believe it has been removed. Thanking you in anticipation.

The return of Save As as well as the addition of a shortcut for File > Duplicate comes with Mountain Lion tomorrow. Of course, it's quite likely that the iWork apps will need updates to take advantage of these.
