I have multiple computers set up on homesharing under one itunes account. Can I use face time on all of them or do i need seperate accounts for each?
I'd suggest you consider a cloud-based file sharing service such as Dropbox for this sort of use. iOS is not designed to be synched with more than one iTunes library at a time, so attempting to use it as you describe, connecting a single iPad to multiple computers, almost certainly won't work as you intend and is likely to cause nothing but headaches.

Hi I have just purchased an i pad for my wife and have registered it in my name to add some apps prior to giving the i pad to her. However, for using face time and games where you can link via wifi it will look as though there are two of the same, if I am trying to link her ipad to mine. How do you get around this?

HT204380 I am using iPad 2. How do I use face time using 3G connectivity?
I understand after iOS 6 Face time is possible with 3G cellular network. I tried but msg comes to connect to wifi to use face time.
On an iPad 2 you can only use it over wifi, it's currently only possible over 3G on an iPad 3 (and iPhone 4S or 5)

Hi, how can I use face time on my iPhone 3gs
FaceTime is not on the iPhone 3GS because it does not have a front-facing camera. Think about it - if you wanted to use the camera, you'd have to turn the phone around - but then you wouldn't be able to see the other person.
FaceTime is on iPod touch 4th Gen, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPad 2 and The New iPad. -

Do you need service to use iMessage on iPhone 4S?
I've bought an iPhone 4S off a friend and it has a SIM card without service, so iMessage says "waiting for activation..." So, you need service to use iMessage? I tried reinstalling iOS 6, nothing.
Activating iMessage on an iPhone requires sending an SMS. If your phone has no service, I don't see how you'd be able to do that.

Do you need Wifi to use the radio app on the IPad2
Do you need Wifi to use the radio app on the IPad 2?
The iPad doesn't have a radio receiver built in. The Radio app is playing radio stations that stream content on the Internet. So that's why you need either Wi-Fi or cellular.

Is it possible to use face time with my iphone4 with 3G when the wi-fi is not avalable
Hi,
The Blurb
The * items message that is at the bottom
*FaceTime video calling requires a FaceTime-enabled device for the caller and recipient and a Wi-Fi connection. FaceTime over a mobile network requires iPhone 4S, iPhone 5 or iPad (3rd generation) with mobile data capability. Availability over a mobile network depends on carrier policies; data charges may apply.
Some features may not be available in all countries or all areas. Click here to see complete list.
It is not specifically saying it is 4G only phones.
It is not saying it is 3G either.
It is not listing an iPhone 4 (only the 4S)
It seems whether 3G can or cannot or if the iPhone can do 4G and it is available it seems that particular model will not.

when using face time when we start to move slightly the other people say that the picture goes fuzzy.
See if any of theses ideas reduce the severity of your problem:
(1) Add as much light as possible for best possible camera picture. The camera slows down in dim light.
(2) Check connection speed at both ends using http://speedtest.net/ (iOS app available)
Broadband speed is a must. 384kBps or more at both ends for better pictures.
(3) Shut down everything and restart in order: modem, router, iOS device.
Let each device self-test complete before starting the next.
(4) Restart or reset your iPad http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1430

I 've had the newest iPad for about one week. Just started using face time..why does face time camera take pixelated pictures? The iSight camera pictures look fine.
Kathleenfromks wrote: ...why does face time camera take pixelated pictures? ...
Because something is wrong.
You will need to troubleshoot to find out what needs to be fixed.
One of these suggestions may resolve your trouble.
FaceTime (and other video) quality problems can be caused by problems at either end of the connection. Unless your video callers' FaceTime connections work properly with everyone else but you, both parities to the video call should consider these possibilities.
(1) Restart your iPad and test again. Sometimes a simple restart fixes things.
(2) Use a fast broadband internet connection for best possible FaceTime video.
Broadband speed matters at BOTH ends, so you use something like http://speedtest.net/ to test both ends of your video connections.
Speeds less than 300 Kbps (up and down) at both ends are unlikely to give best results.
(3) Try from a different wi-fi connection.
If the problem is ONLY at your current location, restarting your internet connection may help. Shut down your iPad or turn Airplane Mode "on". Then check your cable connections, restart your modem and wireless access point, reconnect iPad to the wi-fi, and test again.
If the problem remains but ONLY at your current location, there may be a problem with your internet service. Contact your ISP for help.
(4) Always use as much light as possible for best images (including video) from your iPad.

if i used the same apple id and email to set up both my ipad and ipod what can i do to be able to use face time to call from one device to the other
They can share an Apple ID, but each device must use a different email address when setting up FaceTime. Create a gmail email (or hotmail, or ...) address and use that on one of the devices when you setup FaceTime.
You don't actually have to use the 'new' email address, it is probably just used as an index to reference the correct device when initiating a call via the FaceTime server. -
