please help i am trying to get face time to work since i updated my ipod touch 4th gen face time wont activate keep putting user name and password in keeps giving error occured during activation try again
please help
checked my time setting are right wifi is connecting so its not because of that any help would be appreciated

You posted in the Using iPad forum, but you say you have an iPod Touch problem. Did you post in the wrong forum?

  • HT204380 iTouch Face time will not activate.  Not recieving the verification email- email account works properly

    Cannot get Apple to send a verification email.  I have tested that the email account works so I know that is not an issue.  Have been to the (not so)Genius Bar twice but they do not have a clue as why it will not send the email.  When I contact Apple I just get the same links to the same posts but no answers.

    Logged out of facetime on my macbook pro and am unable to find a login screen. Get a message that tells me to activate facetime I need to sign in at main window. There is no "main window" and absolutely no way to sign in. There has to be a simple way of doing this but I can find nothing in support that gets me to a sign in window.     I can call my ipad with my iphone alll the time.  That's how I check up on my kids at home when I"m at work. You just set up to your iphone's facetime setting with your phone number and set up your ipad's facetime settings with your apple id (in this case it's your email)

    I recently had to do a full factory reset on my iPhone, and since then, facetime hasn't work on my macbook. It works on my iPhone and iPad just fine. I signed in again, and they both started working. I have attempted to do this on my macbook, since I prefer the larger screen when speaking to my family. Every time I sign it, it asks me which connect to connect to (my apple id, my phone number, and my icloud). I tell it to select all three, as I did with my other devices. Then I get an error message that reads, "The server encountered an error processing registrartion. Please try again later." This happens every time and has been doing so for a few days now. I know it's not a network connectivity issue. I haven't had a single issue anywhere else or with any other application or with the internet. It fails every time I verify my account, despite the fact that it should work just fine. I've rebooted the computer, and it still isn't working. Is there something else I can try? The support articles I've found on this website don't help at all. The only one I found relating to the issue told me to adjust my date and time. I don't understand how that helps with what is some kind of application or software issue.

    No.  FaceTime has been deactivated on that phone regardless of the location to which it is taken.
