Facetime is banned by law in UAE (and KSA). It has been permanently removed from all phones sold in those countries. The restriction is placed on Apple as a condition of doing business there.
There is no way to add it to that phone.

Operating system not found & no IDE device

My hp pavillion dv9000 has had a bunch of problems since I bought it about six years ago but it has always come through though. Now I haven't had a chance starting the laptop because of an error message right after the HP start screen that says "operating system not found".. Seems like it can't detect any hard drive as it says "no ide device" when running a hard drive test in bios. I've tried everything, I think, reseating the hard drives, load default configuration (bios), hard reset, and simple things. If your iPhone is not from the Middle East, start Contacts app and choose a recipient that has a device that support FaceTime (iPod touch 4 gen, iPad 2 / 3, iPhone 4 / 4S and Macs) tap FaceTime.

HT5622 facetime not connecting to all devices that use the same apple id. I have both an iphone and ipad. Incomin facetime calls connect randomly to one or the other or both. (should be coming to both)

I have an iPad and an iPhone, both registered to same AppleID. Incoming Face time calls ring randomly on one or the other or both (and sometimes none). They should ring on both.

check the 'recieve at' addresses you set in settings, facetime. you can have multiple addresses.
On mine, i have thre addresses set the same. I am using both a phone # and my e mail address (neither one is my apple ID, by the way).
If somebody calls me to FT using the phone #, the phone rings first, followed by the pad, about 10 sec later. If they call using the e mail address, they both ring at about the same time. If one or the other answers, the other device stops ringing.
So next time a call comes, wait a bit before answering to see if the other device responds. and check your receive at addresses.
You might want to test a little - have somebody call using one address, or the other, and see if you can track the behavior.

Modules.devname not found after Kernelupdate

Hello everyone,
my system broke after the latest kernel update, now i get the following when booting:

ERROR: device '[UID]' not found Skipping fsck
And im dropped in a recovery shell, where I cannot even type. I will prepare a live CD, but don't know yet what to do, as i did not found much on google or in the forums, so I would be happy for any help.

Can some one help me with diagnostic test result " apple mobile device driver not found"?

I bought an iPhone 4gs 32gb from Singapore. iso 4. I'm living in Chennai, India. To connect it to my computer (windows XP,), I have downloaded iTunes 10.6.1.7. Unfortunately iTunes is not recognizing my iPhone. I had tried to troubleshoot it by reinstalling iTunes (2 times). I have restarted the apple mobile device from control panel. I try connecting my iphone in another usb port. but no use. I don't know what am I missing?. iTunes opens on my computer. but doesn't recognize my device. when I click on help. it says an "unknown error has occurred. your computer is not connected to internet. please check your internet connection and try again later". I don't know what to do? could you please help me? thank you so much for your help and time.

I followed the procedure from this site. http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1538 when I finished, it says "the specified location does not contain information about your software"

I have the same problem. I think that someone tried my iphone before me because when I want to reset it, I'm invited to enter a password that I didn't set. Also, when I go the Map application, the iphone indicate that I'm locateded in China while I'm in Tunisia. Now, I can't connect to my iphone to itunes, and I can't reset it because it ask me to enter a password that I didn't set.

The boot error is:

HT1926 Installing iTunes 11.1.4 on windows XP issues warning message: Service "Apple Mobile Device' failed to start. starting iTunes shows MSVCR80.dll not found.

Normal update of iTunes to 11.1.4 fails. Suggests installing from web site
I install from iTunes.com. Install issues the messages:
Service "Apple Mobile Device' failed to start.
Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services
I do have necessary privilegs. I hit ignore. See window with successful install come up and finish with launch. I get the messages:
iTunes was not installed correctly.
Please reinstall iTunes
Error 7 (Windows error 126)
Tring to start iTunes from desktop gives:
This application failed to start because MSVCR80.dll was not found
Re-installing the application may fix the problem.
Further repair or remove/reinstall does not fix the problem (including after reboot)
Thie is the first time this has happened. I'm not sure where to go from here

Old iPod mini can't be recognized after formatting, and iTunes 'Apple Mobile Device Driver not found.'

My roommate gave me an old iPod Mini a few days ago. It was working fine 'til I plugged it into my computer and it asked me to format it. I did, and now it cannot be recognized by iTunes or my computer. My computer views it as a "removable disk" which cannot be accessed. In devices, it is listed as an Apple iPod though, so I'm hoping not all is lost. I have tried many quick fixes I've read on internet (including changing disk letter) but to no avail. I have reinstalled the new iTunes and now that is telling me it has not installed properly, and when I ran diagnostics, it reads that the Apple Mobile Device Driver not found. I will copy & paste all the info from the diagnostic run below, and if anybody can help me with my new (old) iPod, I'd be everly greatful!

OMG same thing here; rather annoyed and now have set up accounts on 2 comps(both 64 vista ultimate); about to try my 32 bit vista on my lappy; we'll see... i don;t have high hopes thoush.
