Go to the App Store and check out the Purchases List. If iPhoto is there then it will be v9.6.1
If it is there, then drag your existing iPhoto app (not the library, just the app) to the trash
Install the App from the App Store.
Sometimes iPhoto is not visible on the Purchases List. it may be hidden. See this article for details on how to unhide it.

iPhoto the application and the iPhoto Library are two different parts of the iPhoto programme. So, reinstalling the app should not affect the Library. BUT you should always have a back up before doing this kind of work. Always.

That is because the phone is locked to the Orange network and an o2 sim card is not going to work with a phone that is locked to Orange.
You either need to purchase an Orange sim card and use that in the phone, or you need to get your friend to contract Orange and get the phone unlocked so that you can use an 02 sim card.
At the moment you will never be able to use the 02 sim card if the phone is locked to Orange. Either use Orange or get the phone unlocked. It is as simple as that.

YOu don't, since you bought the iphone in dubai there is no way for you to use or get facetime on your phone because it has been banned by the government.
Even if you move to Turkey, there is no way to get it.
Sell the iphones and then buy them in Turkey.

You may try 3rd party softwares like Viber or Skype which support video calling both over WIFI and on 3G, unlike FT calling which can only be done over WIFI.
And if the FT feature is so important for you, you can sell this phone and buy a factory unlocked iPhone of a country where FT is not blocked by law. (Avoid Model #s ending with AE & AB).

You'll need to sell it to someone in the US, as it can only be used in the US on the AT&T network and is useless to anyone else.
How you go about selling it is up to you. Unless you have friends or colleagues in the US who want an AT&T iPhone your only real option is selling it on some online marketplace such as eBay.

Your iPhone is locked to the Orange network which is why your Iranian SIM will not work. You will need to contact Orange in the UK to request they unlock your iPhone. You have only a single option - ask Vodofone to unlock it. If they won't or simply don't do that under any circumstances, then there is nothing to be done about it. You can still use it in Germany, but you'll pay roaming fees. Unless, of course, Vodofone offers some kind of package or deal for long term travelers - worth asking them about it.
An alternative would be to see if you could rent/lease a phone for the 5 months in Germany. I've never done it, but there are companies that rent phones for such periods for travelers.

Are you talking about an unlocked version? If an iPhone is locked to AT&T in the U.S., anyting is fair game outside of AT&T's network. (You can always use WiFi, though.)

I'm only guessing here since I don't use Facetime myself but I think it depends on the model number of the phone. iPhones sold by UAE operators have unique model numbers and these do not get the Facetime app installed at all. Even in India, if you update or do a clean reinstall, you still the UAE-branded OS.
Facetime is blocked because the voice and video goes over WiFi and this eats into the profits of the mobile operators. Most countries here in the Middle East block video and voice chatting over the Internet - not due to censorship - but because the government-owned operators here enjoy monopolies and want all video and voice to go over their networks for maximum revenue. I live in Oman where for example Skype is blocked simply because it is seen as a competitor to the government landline operator.
