HT204380 I cannot activate my FaceTime in my iPhone 4S
Every time I try to automatically activate the FaceTime in my iPhone 4S, I receive a message telling me there is an error try again. Same if I try manually. There is not App of this device in my phone either. Any ideas and suggestions please. Thanks, Mario.
Facetime is not an app on the 4S, it is integrated in the phone app. But Facetime is not available in certain mid-eastern countries. What do you mean by "automatically activate" facetime - you have to manually activate it in the Phone app - find a contact and click the iPhone number, then select facetime from the options. Be sure Facetime it "on", settings>Facetime.

Thanks.Sounds like a catch 22 situation. I rekon you are in the UK trying to use the 3 USB wimax stick.
In anycase an iMac is a big machine to lug around. It's a difficult situation.
If you have a neighbor, politely ask them if you can use their broadband for a short while. If this is not practical then call 3 and let them know your circumstances.

Ok for now, try the standalone combo update for Lion client. We will try things the manual way. It's a big download, please make sure you are not going to reach your download cap on your phone becuase you are now tethered to your mobile phone and I wouldn't want to see you pay a premium for this.

you can call your carrier provider and you can tell them that you wanna switch your service to the iphone 3 and they will give you the number to activate it

Nope. Buit into the iOS: Settings>FaceTime>On. You make calls by tapping the FaceTime icon in your contacts list.

Hi all,
Just wondered if anybody can help me with couple of issues I have with my Iphone 5 after updating to iOS7.
1. My Facetime and iMessages will not activate with my apple Id it keeps showing and flases up the error 'Could not sgn in. Please check your Network connection and try again' yet my Connection is fine.
2. I have not been getting my push notifications everytime I open an app it tells me I need to connect to itunes to sort push notifications out but after uninstalling itunes on my laptop and reinstalling it wont let me sync my phone to it.
Would be very greatful for any help offered as im tempted to throw my phone at the wall lol

It sounds like you're trying to set up iCloud Keychain but you're not receiving the verification code by SMS. You can correct the phone number that is used from the iCloud Keychain settings on your iPhone:
In iOS 8, tap Settings > iCloud > Keychain > Advanced. In iOS 7, tap Settings > iCloud > Account > Keychain. Make sure the phone number under Verification Number is correct. If not, enter another phone number.

Cannot find FaceTime App on iPhone 5/New iPad
Found out that I did not have FaceTime app on my iPhone 5 or new iPad.
Have started reading articles about it.
Need to go thru settings=> general => restrictions and
set safari, camera, facetime . all to be "on".
and go thru settings => FaceTime and turn it on and also give correct
e-mail addesses.
My iPad will put the FaceTime back to the screen.. no sweat.
Still did not see it on my iPhone.. Okay, read more articles.
have tried settings=> general=> reset => "erase all content and settings"
to reset everything..
still no FaceTime App showing on my iPhone. went thru all steps I did for iPad
and still do not see the app on my iphone.. Help?

Tap contacts, tap the contact you want to facetime, scroll down to the facetime button. -

I have AT&T also just called them yes to use Facetime on there network you need the mobile share program but if you have wifi in your home like I do and I am always on my wifi 95% the facetime will work on Wifi I am thinking of doing this in Feb because I will have 3 iphone devices on the acct and the price that I quoted will be about 20.00 less then I estamated I would be paying for 3 iphones if I keep the plan I have now and add another separate internet on the 3rd iphone it will be close to 200.00

Tap and hold the Home button and the On/Off buttons for approximately 10-15 seconds, until the Apple logo reappears. When the logo appears, release both buttons.
