HT204380 I recently got my wife an Ipad2 and I have my own so 2 on one appleID. Both use Wi-fi. I will be traveling a bit and want to use Face time but I can not seem to get a connection between these two pads. Can Anyone help?
OK my family now has (2) Ipad2. Mine and my wifes. We do NOT want a second apple account but we want to use facetime. Both pads will ring like it is making a call but the other pad will not recieve the call.
I'm sure I'm not the only person with one account and two apple products. Can someone please let me know how to get these to ipads talking to one another so that while we are traveling we can utilize facetime?

No you do not need two Apple ID's. This is what I did on my iPod Touch and my iPad using my one and only Apple ID.
I used my Apple ID which is my main email address associated with my ID as the email address that I can be reached on the iPad so essentially all I did on the iPad was turn FaceTime on in the settings and let that email address be verified for FaceTime on the iPad.
On the iPod Touch I turned on FaceTime in the settings and then under - You can be reached for video calls at - I added another email address that I have with AOL. Then I went to the inbox of that AOL email address and there was an email from Apple with a link that I tapped on to finish the verification process. I can't recall exactly what it said, but it was very easy to follow the instructions to verify the address.
Then I went back to the FaceTime settings on the Touch and removed my Apple ID email address from - You can be reached for videos calls at ... You have to remove this email address so that you do not end up calling yourself. FaceTime will always revert to the first email address in the settings so that is why you have to remove the Apple ID email address in the one device.

Yes to all, however ive noticed when I turn on the itues Home Sharing, and it says it is on in the File pull down, it disapears from the Livrary pull down. So you have business contacts that were lost... do you not have these on a Database in some shape or form? Sounds like you need to invest in a RAID1 backup setup for your computer so you dont have this issue in the future.
As for repairing your problem, sounds like you are going to need to start from scratch at this point or if the data is still on your phone look into a program that can take the information from the phone onto iTunes. -

I can not seem to get my pc to download the iOs 3.1 update for my ipod touch 1st generation. I keep getting the error 8288 message and it says that their is not a server connected. Try uninstalling iTunes 10.5 and installing iTunes 10.4. It has worked for others.

I have an ipad and have just downloaded the lastest update, now I have a very very important spreadsheet that will not open!!!! other spreadsheets open fine but for some just this one will not open. I have rebooted the ipad and tried re-syncing but to no avail, can anyone HELP?????
I had the same problem. I created an iCloud account and backed up my iPad to iCloud. I then went to www.iCloud.com, signed-in and then I was able to download my spread sheet data. At least I have my data.

Problem as outlined above now changed to using a new hotmail address but this address appears to preclude access to my existing itunes purchased library content?

Apps are tied to the Apple ID used to download them, you can not transfer them. -
I'm using iMovie to prepare a short holiday video. Snap to beat markers worked great for the first song but doesn't seem to work when I try to extend my project with a second song and more video and stills. I dragged in the song and marked the beats but when I bring in stils and video clips they just ignore the beat markers. Can anyone help please. Thanks.
I am having the same issue. The first song and beat markers work great. I add a second song and set beat markers. When I add photos, the appear at random spots with random lengths. I haven't seen a pattern yet. Spent 30 minutes on this topic at my last 1:1 session in the store. No luck figuring it out.
One work-around might be to create one song per project (so beat markers work), then combine the two (or more) projects. But I'm not sure if that's possible or how to do it.

My iphone 4 is about a month old ad it continues to send multiple repeat texts message to the point where I have stop sending texts because everyone is annoyed with me, is there a solution that anyone knows of? I am hearing from sprint that it is apple's issue and from apple it is a sprint issue. They said I can take it to the store but its one month old and I find it hard to beleive that they do not have an easier solutions, i dont have time to or the patience to give up my phone for three days. This can't be right correct? If anyone has founf a solution I would really appreciate some help as Im sure you can hear I am frustrated.
thank youIt is a sprint issue and other carriers have that same problem. I get multiple copies of texts from other carriers all the time to my iphone. It isn't the iphone, it is the carrier sending the text message several times because they haven't received and ack message from the recepient.

Can not seem to get iTunes v 7.0.2 to playback properly
Have latest version of iTunes. System is clean and tuned up. Since v 7.0 I have not been able to watch a downloaded iTunes TV show without video skipping, audio sputtering. Some older iTunes downloads seem to play fine, but for the most part most TV shows can no longer be seen in full screen mode without these skipping. sputtering problems. This problem even happens often in the very small screen mode. Have updated Direct X and uninstalled iTunes and even reverted back to v 6 and same problem stayed for new downloaded TV shows. iTunes has not worked right since I installed v 7.0. And since it doesn't work right with v 6.0 now I am at a loss. Are there any suggested solutions to view and properly hear the downloaded shows? iTunes email support has not beeen helpful at all: heck, if they respond at all!
HP Ze 4230 Pavilion/ Notebook Windows XP O/S XP Home, Sp 2, Itunes 7.0, 40 GB HDD, 1.83 Ghz, 512 RAM, external 250 GB HDD,Heck, that is nothing. I just downloaded v 7.02 and none of the problems I had with v7 have been fixed. iTunes still crashes, and if it doesn't crash the gapless playback thing freezes by song 28, and really I'm starting to hate Itunes because of this. I can't even add new songs to my library because of crashes. Will Apple ever fix these problems, or are we just SOL until version 8 comes out?

Can someone help me download itunes onto my desktop computer? I have Windows Vista. When I try to download itunes this is what pops up "this instillation package could not be opened. Verify that the package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid windows installer package." So with that said can someone please tell me what is going on I have tried everything I know?

Apple IDs cannot be merged. You should use your preferred Apple ID from now on, but you can still access your purchased items such as music, movies, or software using your other Apple IDs.
