I just got an iPad mini and I am restricted from using Face Time. When I went to settings I was unable to chose FaceTime to check the settings.

I have had a FaceTime account in good order for 2 years now and have not abused or excessively used it. Apple doesn't respond multiple messages, ISP is of no use.

from the Safari menu bar. If any extensions are installed, disable them and test. If there's no change, turn off popup blocking and test again.

I'm trying to use facetime on my ipod touch (which I've been able to do in the past). It now wont connect and an error message pops up saying "Account Restriction. Why is InDesign preventing me from using a font I own?

Years ago I bought a collection of OPTIfonts which I still use on occasion. InDesign today is not letting me use OPTI Calculator, a digital alarm clock face. It either won't recognize it (even though it shows up in the list of fonts I activated, or somehow is blocking from use. WTF?

I don't know if this is the same Opti font or not...
If you installed it while ID was running, perhaps a simple exit and restart of ID will cure the issue.
ID is notorious for not liking fonts that are (or at least ot it are) corrupted. If your font previously worked, I would unintall it, reboot to clean out the font cache memory, reinstall it and see if it is now working. Then again, usually ID won't even list such fonts.
If this is the first go with this font, and depending upon the download, it is possible it was always corrupt and just now showing its problem. If the above font is the same as yours, let me know via a PM and I can get you a copy.

Thanks Helen for the response. At least you can get some of the contacts to work. Absolutely none of mine will. Feel like my phone is cheating me out something it should do. Think I'm going to just have to dump all the Apple products in general because this phone hasn't worked right since I got it.

A web filter can be a piece of software installed on your computer, or on a network you are connected to that checks the content of the sites you are trying to visit. Talk to the owner of the network you are trying use, or the owner of the computer.

When I try to select my phone number as a way of FaceTiming and to iMessage me, it is blanked out in a light grey and will not let me select it as an option so I can only be contacted by my email but this isn't how I want to be contacted. Please help?

It happened to me today for the first time since upgrading to Mavericks 10.9.3, no "stop lights" in the title bar of the popup, in fact nothing at all.
I've never established a FaceTime account. So I tried to delete FaceTime from the Applications folder on the "system" disk thinking this may eliminate the popup. Mavericks informed me "Cannot delete FaceTime as it is used by the operating system.
Is this a MAC virus? Or is this an example user community alpha/beta testing that Apple just announced?

That being the case, why then did the FaceTime popup even appear in the first place?
It's not clear to me what it is. If it occurs again, please take a screenshot of the popup and post it in a reply.
To take a screenshot hold ⌘ Shift 4 to create a selection crosshair. Click and hold while you drag the crosshair over the area you wish to capture and then release the mouse button. You will hear a "camera shutter" sound. This will deposit a screenshot on your Desktop.
If you can't find it on your Desktop look in your Documents or Downloads folder.
When you post your response, click the "camera" icon above the text field:
This will display a dialog box which enables you to choose the screenshot file (remember it's on your Desktop) and click the Insert Image button.
The screenshot attachment option for this support site appears only on computers - not on iPads.
⌘ Shift 4 and then pressing the space bar captures the frontmost window.
⌘ Shift 3 captures the entire screen.
Drag the screenshot to the Trash after you post your reply.

Why I am experiencing video freezing using FaceTime.

Using an iMac intel OS 10.6.8 and connecting to MacBook Pro with FaceTime, I experience video freezes and broken audio. The other party (MacBook) does not seem to have the same issue leading me to believe it is something to do with the iMac. I tried restarting prior to the FaceTime session but this did not help the problem. I am connected via wire to a cable modem. I haven't found any references to this issue in the help menu nor any forums at this point. Any thoughts?

HT204380 Why won't my email verify for FaceTime?

My wife has an iPad2, I take my iPod Touch 4Gen where ever I go, including deployment with the Army.
FaceTime is good to go on the iPad.
I have tried to add another email to my Touch so we can FaceTime - but the Touch seems unable to send the Verifying EMail.
The email I view on my Touch is the email I wish to add, this is different to my Apple ID.
Any help gratefully received!

If you go toSettings>General and then scroll to the bottom of the page...you'll see Reset Settings. Select that and then select Reset All Settings. Once you have done this you should be able to set up FaceTime normally again.
