HT204384 Can I use a memory stick pro from sony with the SDXC slot?

Is it possible to use the Memory Stick Pro from Sony in the SDXC slot on the MacBook Pro?

How could anyone "take it wrong"? Anyone can see at a glance that you're raging mad, shouting at the top of your lungs and ignoring the terms of use you agreed to abide by in posting here, all because you haven't read the guide that came with your computer and you're trying to make it do something it can't. Your SD card slot is for SD cards.

Can I use an Adobe Professional license from 2008 with the current version of Adobe Acrobat XI Pro?

With "license" you mean serial number?  If that serial number was for a different Acrobat version (e.g. 9), you cannot use it for the current version XI.
You can however use it to purchase an upgrade from http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat.html

  • Can't use my HP Deskjet F4580 Wireless Printer with the AirPort Extreme Base. The printer is NOT connected at the USB port of the AirPort Extreme, and is placed in another room. It worked just fine with my previous router (Linksys WRT54G). Help me!

    Hey Guys!
I just got my AirPort Extreme Base, but I can't use my HP Deskjet F4580 wireless printer with it.
The printer is not connected to the AirPort Extreme's USB port. It is placed in another room, and I'd like to use it (the printer) wirelessly (not connected to the USB port os the AirPort Extreme), as I used to. There is no place for the printer close the AirPort Extreme. It worked just fine with my previous wireless router (Linksys WRT54G). I'm very disappointed with the AirPort Extreme Base Station because of that!...
    Can you help me? Please?!
    Thanks Folks!

This must be a tough one, no suggestions at all.

  • Can I use a memory stick to back up my MacBook Air and what size do I need?

    i Have a MacBook air , processor 1.3 Ghz Intel core i5, 4GB 1600 MHz DDR3 memory. Operating on OS X Yosemite Version 10.10.1.
it will not open up Safari, it crashed out of Safari with an error message and will not ooen it up now however many times I try.  I was reading Daily Mail on line at the time.  I can get onto the Internet by using Chrome but it feels as if Chrome is in charge of me rather than the other way round.  when I type in an address it just takes me where it wants to go rather than the website I want to to.  I now want to back up my data but left my drive in UK (I am in USA at the moment.) so wondered if I can back all my data (very important data) on to a memory stick so I can wipe my computer and start again.  I have an appointment with a techie at the Apple shop on Saturday but need to back up my data before the appointment, so not sure what to do.
ALso my IPad is very unstable after using the Daily Mail site, it has always seemed to be fine before but this weekend seems to have created problems for both my MacBook Air and IPad Mini...

You'd probably be better served to use a conventional external USB:
    http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/firewire/
Easier to use, harder to lose and more dependable.

"generally speaking, a HDD (or SSD) is always going to be more reliable than a flash drive. USB flash drives are made to TRANSFER files, not to store them. Still, you get what you pay for, and I have had a few flash drives that have lasted a very long time"

  • Can I wake my Macbook Pro from Sleep with the Remote app on the iPhone?

I can't access my Macbook Pro remotely, specially after several hours of inactivity,, whenever I try to access content of my library through the remote app or the Apple TV I'm unable to wake my Macbook Pro up.
My Macbook Pro is 2012 model (the last with de CD Drive) and it's running the Maverick OS, my questions are:
    * I'm unable to find the "Unable Power Nap while plugged" option on the energy saver tab... is that because the model of my laptop doesn't support that?
    * In order to access content from my library remotely, should the "Computer Sleep" option on the energy saver be on "Never" instead of the "1 hour" that I'm currently using... or is there a way to still be able to wake up the laptop with those settings

Do you have a Bonjour Sleep Proxy server on your network?
<About Wake on Demand and Bonjour Sleep Proxy>
If you do not have a Bonjour Sleep Proxy server on your local network, then you cannot allow your Mac to go to sleep at all.  System Preferences -> Energy Saver -> Computer Sleep -> Never (slide all the way to the right).

  • Can I see if my macbook pro is connected with the 2.4 or 5 GHz bands?

Airport extreme with dual band, my computer can choose between the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands automatically...
Can I see which band my macbook pro is using? Is there a way? I am very curious which one it chooses and when.

Yes you can. There are several ways - some direct and some indirect. Here's a couple you can try:
    Method 1. Quick and Dirty
Click on the Airport menu icon in Finder when holding down the option-key. A greyed-out list appears with useful information you can use to deduct what you're connected to.
    - If the channel number is over 14, you are on the 5 GHz band. This is assuming that you have set up your networks so that the 5 GHz band is exclusively 802.11n and the 2.4 GHz is not 802.11n compatible,
    Method 2. Being sure.
Open Airport Utility, select your AEBS and click Manual Setup. Look at the line that says "2.4 GHz / 5 GHz Airport IDs". There you can see the network ID for the 2.4 GHz radio and the 5 GHz radio respectively. Now check the SSID number in the Airport menu as above (pressing the Option key, of course). It will be either one of the Airport IDs you just checked - the 2.4 GHz or the 5 GHz - and that's the one you're connected to.
    Hope this helped.
    Cheers.

  • Can I use my Ipod photo 4th gen charger with the 120gb classic?

My new 120gb classic will arrive shortly, I notice Apple don't include chargers anymore. Will the mains charger I got with my old 60gb ipod photo also work with the new classic or do I have to buy a new one? I notice the charger on sale via the apple website looks a bit different to my old one.

If you old charger is a USB (+5V output) it will work. If it is a Firewire charger (+12V) then I think it will still work, but Apple has removed Firewire charging from most of the new iPod lines including the iPhone and 4th Generation Nano. However I think that the 120GB Classic may be the last iPod to still charge off Firewire chargers.
It won't hurt anything to try it. If it doesn't work, you will get a screen display that states that the accessory is not supported or something to that effect.
    Good luck,
    Patrick
