Is there an icon on your desktop called "Machintosh HD" ?
If not, there is a setting that is easily turned on that will show you connect drives, memory cards, and other devices. You can turn it on like so:

I have the same issue also...Kind of regretting upgrading to ios5... my CKK for my sd card no longer brings the pictures into the Ipad 2 ..It just gets a camera Show on the top but no piks coming across or showing to import into the IPAD...I thought that the Sd card was shot or the CKK had dirt on the connectors...

I presume you are refering to the Thunderbird search facility that allows you to 'Search google for', but now it says 'search Yahoo for'.
When you enter something and select 'search Yahoo for' you will see a list of icons on the left side, currently the yahoo icon is selected and at the bottom the heart icon is also red.
You can select any of those icons to change to another search engine.
select the google icon, then at the bottom on the left, look for the heart icon, it will appear white with black outline. Click on the heart icon to change it to red. This will set google as default.
Now close the search and retry, this time it should say 'Search google for'.

Make sure you are viewing your image at 100%. At smaller views, pixels and layers and the way they interact are approximate interpolations and won't show you the actual pixel-for-pixel changes.

I just got this MacBook and it is refurbished. Yesterday, I went to put music CDs into iTunes, and it wouldn't even read that I put in a CD. About 15 to 20 seconds later, it spit it back out. I tried several CDs and it did the same to all of them. I also tried a DVD and a computer disk and they both were read and worked. Only a CD won't be read. What do I need to do?

Albums are not places to store photos, they're more like "labels" you can apply to photos to better organize them. A single image file can be in multiple albums... they are not copies, it's simply been labelled as being in all those albums. So what you're trying to do doesn't make sense, because it's based on incorrect assumptions.
The iPhoto library will always show all photos that you have added to iPhoto.

You need to restart the phone in DFU mode and update the software.
To restart the phone in DFU mode press the power and home button simultaneously for like 10 seconds once the phone is switched off release the power button keep holding the home button while you connect to the computer which has Itunes running and then you can restore or update the software, you can download the update and connect after the software has been downloaded if your phone disconnects, And enjoy you new IOS7.

I installed an update of firefox this morning and now it won't open. I have tried to remove it and re-install it and although the icon remains, nothing happens when I click on it.

I was prompted to install an update this morning which I did. After that, Firefox will not open at all. I click the icon and nothing happens. I tried uninstalling it and then re-installing it with no results.

Also, when im viewing websites and i find something i wish to print, same again, if i simply click on the print option at the top right of the screen nothing happens... the only way I can print is if i copy the weblink of the site page then click on my HP eprint app and paste the web link, then select print, it prints off fine.. but its it such a pain to keep copying and pasting links or screen dumping emails just to print...

I was using gimp fine for years with my osx 10 6 8 up until yesterday. Last night when I downloaded yosemite, gimp has not been working ever since. I am so sorry I am frustrating you. This is the first time I have used this community and am leanring as I go. I am not able to see the entire post that you leave, unless I look at it on my phone (email)--I am so sorry. You have no idea how much i appreciate your help. Yes, I see that I can get the later version of OS software, but its not availabe for immediate download. My only options appear to be having it shipped, or going to the store to purchase. And if you know of another way that I can access all of my itunes library music on my new phone withouth using itunes, I would love to hear about it.--thanks and again i am so sorry for frustrating you.
